Zeshion and Vermeil fired off attacks that could be considered an over-attack. The enemies were merely humans at the 9th stage; where's the need to go serious?!

"Will!"

Suddenly, Goddess Blanc pulled me into an embrace, placing her body between me and the army. At that instant, something weird happened. Both Zeshion and Vermeil's attacks were suddenly hit by a powerful force, completely neutralized.

The attack was fired by those five armored men behind the "assumed to be" prince of the empire. When they cancelled out the two attacks, however, the force dissipated in all directions, sending the soldiers nearby flying to god knows where.

What attack? I wasn't sure either, since two soft bulges were covering my eyes, so I was only able to "feel" what happened beyond our little barrier. Anyway, as they released an attack, their suppressed aura finally started to leak out.

"Half step?!"

All five of them possess powers that are approaching, or maybe already at, demigod level! Half-step gods!

'Are they the reason why the Empire was confident about going against our country?'

Honestly, they're overestimating themselves if they think just five demigods are enough to face the four gods we have. There were only three of them present, though, since Ajax was unable to leave his area.

Thinking that Goddess Blanc is also not counted as a combatant, then it's basically 5 against 2 right now. If looking only at the energy levels, then I guess 3 against Zesion and 2 against Vermeil would even out the battlefield.

But God tamers haven't reached their rank just because they have the energy level to reach it.

"Vermeil! Don't butt in, alright? Let me face these three d*ckheads!"

"Ugh, go knock yourself out. I'll continue handling the army then."

And instead of joining hands in this battle, Zeshion decided that he could take the five on by his lonesome. I'm not sure if that's arrogance speaking or if he truly believes he can handle five guys alone... Wait, that sounded weird.

Anyway, Vermeil didn't bother to argue and continued her task of wiping out the millions of troops of the empire.

Of course, attacks do come in her direction, but the flame wall separating her and the soldiers is more than enough to completely block off potential attacks. She could therefore focus on attacking since she wasn't in any danger at all.

Flame tornadoes slowly came to life, one at first, then another, and so on until a total of twelve smaller tornadoes began to ravage the entire army. Although some were able to fight against the tornado, avoiding getting pulled into the air by it, they weren't able to block off the intense heat it released.

Like a slow-cook oven, the soldiers were gradually getting charred, starting from their skin, hair, and clothes, before their entire being began to spontaneously burst into flames. The five demigods saw Vermeil as a threat and were about to intercept her, but Zeshion was a step faster.

"Oh, no. You're all going to stay here and entertain me."

Without hesitation, he created an isolation barrier, only including him and the five demigods inside.

The five quickly tried to destroy the barrier, but it was powered by the god-level space manipulation of the Goddess of Space, Zeta. It was a futile attempt.

"Mmmmph!"

Although I was reluctant to part with these heavenly bags pressed against my face, I was already out of breath. Dying by getting suffocated by puffs would sound amazing, but there are a lot of reasons why I can't die yet.

"Hmmm~!"

A sweet moan escaped Goddess Beta's lips as I tried to squirm my way out. With great effort, I finally managed to slip out and take a gasp of fresh air.

"Are you trying to kill me?"

I couldn't help but ask her myself.

When I finally managed to push her back, her face was blushing lightly, while she was hiding her lips with the back of her hands. What? Did I do something? Wait, I completely missed it, though?!

Anyway, just like that, Goddess Blanc and I became the enemy's target for practice; Vermeil was slowly wiping them out, while Zeshion was playing with the five powerful demigods of the empire. If this continues, then I guess it's not hard to imagine our complete victory.

"D*mned barbarians! How dare you resist the advance of my empire?!"

Then, without warning, the man in the expensive-looking military uniform shouted with a voice filled with anger.

"Such low blood! I was right! Princess Hazel of Cleaver Kingdom was just forced to become your wife! What a brute! In the name of our Great Empire, I'll make sure to wipe your country off the map!"

"..."

That was a long speech, but in summary, he's picking a fight with our country because I, its ruler, became Princess Hazel's engagement partner? Talk about barking up the wrong tree! If you wanted her, then you should've just been direct with it and not gone through a roundabout method like trying to gain their kingdom!

"Ugh, I'm getting so mad at this idiot. Blanc, can you let me out of your barrier? I want to smack him good."

"Stop talking nonsense, Will! Can't you feel that?!"

"That...?"

I was a little confused by what she was talking about, but following her finger, I turned to look at the sky. There, appearing between the clouds, was a gigantic, familiar gate.

"That's...!"

I couldn't be mistaken, as I have seen it before. It was a large red double door, complete with intricate carvings, that had thick chains wrapped around it. That is, without a doubt, the door leading out of the Otherside!

"But why is it appearing here out of nowhere?!"

Cold sweat fell down my back. If that really is the gate leading to the Otherside, then...

"Sh*t! We must stop it from opening at all costs!"

If that beyond-god-level angel gets called here, then the gate would become guardless. The thousands of god-level demons beyond it would end up escaping into our world!

"I don't know who the f*ck is trying to open this gate, but for god's sake, stop!"
