Chapter 72: Seriously, You’re Useless!

I decided to hunt magical beasts on the weekends to relieve my anger. (Claude)

[Kaisar’s POV]

Not much has changed since then. People around me are still looking at me the same way as before.

Well, that’s a given.

Since I have not taken any action to improve my reputation, there is no way that it will improve either.

“Hey, brother, come with us to practice magic.”

“Yeah, I would be very grateful if you would practice magic with us.”

I got asked by my younger brother and sister to accompany them in practicing magic today.

Normally, they would never even look at me, but today, they not only looked at me, they even called out to me.

It would supposedly be a happy scene of a younger brother and sister asking their older brother to teach them magic, but I doubt this would be the case.

It is easy to understand that such a thought would never have occurred to these two in the first place.

“Ha? No way, I don’t want to. Why do I have to take care of you?”

“Guh, still running your mouth like that…”

“For a trashy insect…”

“Hmm? Did you say something?”

“No.”

“Nothing.”

And as for why they were inviting me, their older brother, to practice magic? My guess is that they just want to use me as a target to practice some offensive magic.

Having a moving target is good for practice.

But not everyone can just go into the forest to hunt magical beasts since there is no way out of it if they were to get injured.

I heard that my younger brother and sister have a practical exam on offensive magic next week.

That must be why they chose me as a good practice target.

Their idea must be to, while practicing on a moving target, relieve stress by attacking me, an eyesore to them, and if they do well, they can even make me disappear.

For my brother and sister, there is nothing but benefits. But for me, there are only demerits. And since I have no obligation to go along with every single one of their requests, I naturally refused, only to see the two of them were turning sour.

I don’t think they can live in the aristocratic world at this rate.

I wish they would work a little harder on themselves.

“Why are you refusing their requests, Kaisar? You have no talent for magic or swordsmanship, and all you can do is bring disgrace to our family. Do you think you are in a position to refuse a request from your brother and sister?”

“That’s right. Brother, you’ve been a nuisance to our family for a long time, and this is the only time you can be useful to us. What’s there to complain about when we are being generous enough to provide you with a place for you to be useful?”

“Seriously, there’s no better use of you.”
