Secretly Quarreling (2)

By taking in an injured patient, and the shiny protagonist no less, Ding Yi’s calm everyday life became slightly hectic. She had to focus some of her attention on the neighboring room.

Even though she knew that the protagonist was invincible, she still cared for the noble young master Jiang with diligence. They had already brought him home. It didn’t make any sense to ignore him.

As Ding Yi made herself familiar with the protagonist, however, Mu Yueshi’s mood became worse day by day.

It was a few days later that Jiang Mocheng woke up.

At first, he thought he had fallen into the “den of demons”, and towards Ding Yi’s good will, he expressed adamant refusal. But despite his willpower, the cruel reality of the situation was that the condition of his body left him at Ding Yi’s mercy.

And so young master Jiang could only endure the humiliation.

When Mu Yueshi would bring Jiang Mocheng his medicine, Mu Yueshi would take the opportunity to take a jab at the pretentious Jiang Mocheng: “If you want to die, just do it somewhere where she won’t see.”

If it wasn’t for the fact that he cared about Ding Yi’s feelings, Mu Yueshi would have killed Jiang Mocheng already.

Annoying.

Very annoying.

Jiang Mocheng could naturally sense Mu Yueshi’s killing intent, and every single time he would coldly retort: “If you want to kill me that desperately, go ahead.”

He openly taunted Mu Yueshi because he knew that Mu Yueshi wouldn’t do anything about it.

In the days where he recuperated, Jiang Mocheng observed the strange relationship these two had, and he realized that his life was safe while he was here.

The malicious demon in front of him was vicious and treacherous, but he was obedient towards the simpleminded woman who lived next door.

As long as they were in this house, Mu Yueshi didn’t have the guts to kill him.

Mu Yueshi stared at the young master with cold eyes and expressionlessly placed down the bowl of medicine. If he could, he would’ve thrown it at Jiang Mocheng’s face!

When Mu Yueshi turned away, he suddenly heard Jiang Mocheng coldly say: “I heard that you wanted to learn the cultivation arts from the Mount Yuling sect.”

Mu Yueshi stopped in his tracks, his gaze chilly.

Jiang Mocheng scoffed: “What a joke, an evil demon attempting to hide itself in a righteous sect. Thou demon thinkest…”

Mu Yueshi spun around without a word and shot out a sharp wave of pressure from his palm!

Jiang Mocheng leaned to the side, as if expecting Mu Yueshi’s reaction, and dodged the attack. A crack appeared on the wall where Jiang Mocheng had been moments ago, and the damage oozed a thick demonic aura.

He looked solemnly at the wordless Mu Yueshi and sneered: “You’ve been practicing the demonic arts for a while now.”

To have such power behind just a casual attack, he was no ordinary foe.

He had been right on that day. This person was not only a demon, but one that practiced the evil arts!

Jiang Mocheng detected that Mu Yueshi was getting serious, and so he immediately dodged out towards the door!

Unexpectedly, someone came in through the doorway at the same time, and he was pushed back by the opening door, causing him to fall right into the trajectory of Mu Yueshi’s attack!

Jiang Mocheng was still in the process of recovering, and so having been hit in the back, crumpled onto the ground with a grunt.

When Ding Yi finally entered the room, she saw this: The room was an utter mess, the medicine was spilled all over the floor, and the protagonist had just been floored by the angry boss.

“…”

You’ve already started fighting? Did I open a portal to the future or something?!

Ding Yi had a plate in her hands, so she couldn’t help the person on the ground. In her panic, she screamed: “Wh-wha-what?! Yueshi? …You… you guys are fighting again??”

When Mu Yueshi saw Ding Yi, his expression immediately changed, and the demonic aura radiating from his body disappeared.

He quickly calmed down and tattled innocently: “I didn’t do anything wrong. He insulted me first!”

…Jiang Mocheng, who still held on to the last shred of his consciousness, heard Mu Yueshi’s shameless words and felt the surprise and anger inside of him uncontrollably explode. Given the condition of his body, though, that anger came out of his mouth in the form of blood, causing him to go out, cold.

Ding Yi was shocked to say the least and shouted: “Hurry! Get him back on the bed!”

They fought to the point of spilling blood? It’s no wonder you’re rivals for life, you can’t even have a normal conversation without getting into a fight!

Ding Yi felt exhausted.

Mu Yueshi was reluctant, but he listened to Ding Yi and threw the useless piece of trash onto the bed.

After setting down everything in her hands, Ding Yi felt Jiang Mocheng’s pulse.

Ah, thank goodness, he’s still alive.

If the protagonist of the original plot died here, the plot would collapse and everything would go to hell.

Ding Yi breathed a sigh of relief, but she still internally cursed the system for its stupid and illogical missions.

It was obvious that these two were bosses that would fight at every possible moment, and she was a cannon fodder who had a slippery grasp on life. There was no! Way! She! Could! Do! Anything!

After wistfully helping Jiang Mocheng pull up his sheets, Ding Yi finally noticed the dejected Mu Yueshi standing nearby.

…She asked, frustrated: “Yueshi, young master Jiang is injured, why did you attack him?”

Mu Yueshi replied coldly: “He asked for it.”

Ding Yi: “…”

He isn’t even bothering with excuses anymore.
