Scarlet Rose [ABO] – What Happens When the Villain Dies at the Beginning? (8)

After rolling on the bed for so long, and being sure that he was another “Huo Lian,” Lu Shijin’s attitude towards Payne changed greatly.

“There’s still hot water, you wanna take a shower?” Payne asked.

“Why didn’t you wait for me to wash up together?” Lu Shijin got out of the quilt. His thin and pale body had red marks all over it, which were left by the Alpha’s loss of control.

It was only a joke, but when Payne heard, a faint blush appeared on his handsome face.

Although they’ve done it countless times in the past few days, the Alpha was still a novice and wasn’t nearly as unrestrained outside of bed.

Seeing Payne blush, Lu Shijin wanted to wolf whistle, but he restrained himself, as that would break his character.

He still hadn’t forgotten the “humiliation” of calling him “uncle” in bed, perhaps he could reverse that in this world?

Thinking about making Payne call him “older brother,” Lu Shijin felt very excited.

Yeah! I’ll do that with this pure hearted wolf puppy!

“It was just a joke to lessen the boredom between two people.” Lu Shijin put on pajamas and calmly walked past Payne into the bathroom.

The door closed, leaving only a faint fragrance in the room.

Payne would have never imagined that such a cold man would have a floral scent.

But narcissus did match Lu Shijin.

In a myth from old Earth, there was a handsome young man who fell in love with his reflection, and finally became a daffodil, or narcissus.

Payne had never liked plants before as he felt like they were too finicky.

But he now felt that he would raise a pot of narcissus on his nightstand if he ever left this place.

It would be good to sleep and wake to the fragrance flowers.

Or, Payne’s gaze turned to the tightly shut bathroom door, he actually wanted to raise the Omega inside.

Payne once again remembered the name “Huo Lian.”

Although Lu Shijin only misspoke once during their first time, he must be a very special person for him to remember.

Forget about it, Payne mocked himself, he doesn’t even know if he’ll be alive tomorrow, so why ask for so much.

Lu Shijin came out of the shower, feeling hungry.

There was food sent by Blood Owl’s underlings on the table. There was meat, vegetables, and fruits, a rich meal.

But Payne didn’t touch any of them. He was afraid that Blood Owl might have done something to the food. He had been depending on nutrient solution injections to keep his strength up.

Lu Shijin knew that there was no problem with the food, so he went straight to the table and even beckoned Payne over to eat with him.

“Freshly cooked salmon sandwich, want one?”

Payne was impressed with how Lu Shijin could eat at a time like this.

If he wasn’t heartless, then he was really calm before the unknown.

Payne shook his head, “You can eat.”

Lu Shijin drank some milk, licking away the foam at the corners of his mouth, “There’s no poison. I’ve tried every dish, there’s no issue. You’ll run out of strength if you depend on nutrient solutions alone.”

Payne forced a smile, “Ignore me, I’m just not hungry.”

Lu Shijin looked at him, and knowing that it was normal to be unable to eat under these circumstances, he didn’t press him further.

Payne went to the table and sat down with his head bowed.

“Major Lu, I’ve decided.”

Lu Shijin swallowed a piece of tender salmon, “Decided on what?”

Payne looked at him with firm resolve showing on his face.

“Blood Owl wants us to conceive a child. No matter what his purpose is, I’m not going to do what he wants.”

“Wait.” Lu Shijin put down his fork, suspiciously looking at Payne, “Your Highness means that you don’t plan on having a child with me?”

Lu Shijin’s question was too straight forward, making Payne blush again.

“It would be irresponsible of me to impregnate you under these circumstances. You could be controlled by Blood Owl forever.

Lu Shijin didn’t listen to his explanation. If he didn’t get pregnant, how could the plot progress?

Wouldn’t the past few days have been a waste?!

Lu Shijin slapped the table angrily, “If you didn’t want a child, what were you doing for the past few days?”

Payne blushed even harder, “It was to help you through your heat. If I didn’t do that, you would’ve died.”

“But without getting a child, we’ll be stuck here forever! What’s the difference between that and death?”

Payne said solemnly, “That’s why, I think that if I die, Blood Owl might let you live.”

Lu Shijin was stunned, the plot development seemed a bit different?

In the original plot, Payne made “Lu Shijin” pregnant without any hesitation to live and take revenge.

Just what has changed Payne’s thoughts?

But Lu Shijin still felt moved, as this man was willing to give up his life for him.

Lu Shijin had never been as thankful as he was now, fate allowing him to meet “Huo Lian” again.

So, he would definitely not allow anyone to harm Payne.

Lu Shijin calmly said, “Don’t bring up death so easily. No matter what we’re faced with, we have to survive. Only survival will bring hope.”

“But . . .”

Lu Shijin cut him off with a smile, “There’s no ‘but.’ Your Highness, rest assured. We won’t die. What’s more, I’ll help you escape and get back everything you deserve.”
