The off-road vehicle raced across the vast golden desert, lifting up clouds of dust all the way.

“Noob, open the 3D map, display one thousand kilometers in radius,” Fu Yucheng casually ordered the computer while driving the car.

The green light on Noob flickered slightly, and a huge three-dimensional map slowly appeared in the cabin.

The map was a translucent gray-blue color, portraying the huge undulating sand dunes rising from its surface with the size of tiny grains of rice.

Fu Yucheng groaned. “The Devil’s Antarctic is behind the windmill belt and Fort Hurricane. Going straight there now would be the same as death. We can only circle across the desert first, and then enter the Devil’s Antarctic from the north side of the windmill belt.”

Bai Mo stretched out a hand and traced a path on the map. “Wouldn’t we get closer if we went through the south?”

Fu Yucheng shook his head. “There’s a huge quicksand to the south, known as the ‘Kiss of Monsters’, which can swallow anything. The narrowest area of that quicksand is hundreds of kilometers wide, there’s no way to cross that…”

Before he had finished speaking, Bai Mo suddenly said, “I hear something.”

Fu Yucheng listened attentively, and as he thought, there was a faint low buzzing noise coming from a distance.

His face changed slightly, and he cursed. “Fuck , Mo Ziwei’s drone! He’s really like a lingering ghost!”

Bai Mo thought for a bit, then he leaned out of the car window and looked back.

The gusts of wind blowing on his face made it almost impossible for him to open his eyes. For a while, the boy kept squinting. “Yu-ge, there’s twelve reconnaissance drones in total. And behind them there are… forty-seven, no, forty-eight heavy armored vehicles, less than three kilometers away from us.”

Fu Yucheng wanted to cry but he had no tears. “Damn, that’s so many!”

He stepped on the accelerator with a stomp and the off-road vehicle suddenly sped up, roaring and rushing forward.

The only problem was that this vehicle was an RV, after all. The structure was relatively heavy and it wasn’t very fast. It couldn’t compare with the agile tanks.

Not long after, the buzzing noise overhead grew louder and louder, and the twelve reconnaissance drones lined up and slowly appeared in the sky.

Forty-eight armored combat vehicles also gradually appeared in the rearview mirror.

They followed closely behind the off-road vehicle, and the entire convoy slowly spread out in a fan formation, seemingly wanting to flank Fu Yucheng.

On the open hood of the leading armored vehicle was Mo Ziwei, dressed in a dark blue, tailored waist fitting Tang suit, standing against the wind in the distance.

The master of Fort Hurricane had a lean body, but it still produced a feeling of suffocating oppression.

At that moment, his eyes, beneath the ghost mask, seemed to smile jokingly, looking at the fleeing off-road vehicle like a cat playing with a mouse.

He slightly raised his right hand and the Spectral Hook on his arm whirred upwards abruptly, latching onto the side of a drone.

Mo Ziwei used the force to swing up, and his entire body rose up in the air.

With just a light sound, he landed on top of the off-road vehicle’s cabin!

Fu Yucheng was crying in his heart, but he didn’t panic. He slammed the steering wheel to the sides, forcing the off-road vehicle to take multiple snake-like turns, trying to force Mo Ziwei off.

Mo Ziwei had a knee down on the roof of the car and he held onto a protrusion with his left hand, attempting to keep his balance. The hook on his right hand suddenly jolted violently.

A corner of the off-road vehicle was sliced off perfectly, the cut as smooth as a mirror.

Inside the cabin, the control screen and the instrument panel flickered with red lights, the alarm ringing frantically, “Beep beep beep beep-”

“Fuck! Your! Grandpa! How dare he mess with my car?! I’m going to kill him!” Fu Yucheng yelled, his heart in so much pain he thought he might die.

Bai Mo pursed his lips. Suddenly, he held onto the top of the window frame with one hand, and with a light flip he swung over and up onto the roof.

“Little Mo! What are you trying to do?!” Fu Yucheng couldn’t help but yell.

Bai Mo did not answer. He was crouching on top of the vehicle on his hands and feet like a cat, staring at Mo Ziwei coldly with his dark eyes.

Mo Ziwei, with a knee down on the roof of the vehicle, turned his head to look at Bai Mo.

The strong wind whirled their hair and clothes, turning them into a mess.

Mo Ziwei looked at the other with curiosity. The corners of his mouth slowly went up, as if he had seen a funny little animal.

“Little guy, you’re very courageous. Such a pity.” He sighed and suddenly raised his arm, the Spectral Hook shining in a dazzling blue light——

From the moment he had climbed onto the roof of the car, Bai Mo had been staring at him unblinkingly.

He remembered Fu Yucheng mentioning that the man’s hook was quick as lighting, coming and going without a trace, almost impossible to avoid… Therefore, the only way he could win was to anticipate his opponent’s move in advance!

Bai Mo had grown up in the Imperial Laboratory, and he had spent most of his childhood receiving lessons on various assassination techniques. It could even be said that he had mastered his obsevation skills.

Therefore, the moment Mo Ziwei’s upper arm muscles contracted slightly, even before he had begun to raise his elbow, the boy had already let out a low growl, held onto the front edge of the vehicle with one hand, and struck Mo Ziwei’s two long legs!

Mo Ziwei was caught off guard, and the sweep made him fall onto the roof of the car.

Bai Mo didn’t give his opponent any chance to breathe, and rushed forward again!

His left and right hands went straight towards his opponent’s eyeballs and throat. He didn’t leave him any space for defense. It was almost a fatal blow.

Mo Ziwei was overwhelmed by the kid, and he was unable to use the hook for some time.

However, after all, the master of Fort Hurricane had experienced many battles. He quickly calmed down, dodged another attack, and then smoothly attacked with the Spectral Hook.

Bai Mo, without even being able to see where the hook had come from, was tied up firmly!

Mo Ziwei yanked hard, and the boy was slammed against the roof of the vehicle, his bones almost turning to dust.
A sweet scent rose up his throat, and he coughed up blood.

Mo Ziwei smiled faintly and walked up to him. “Little guy, you’re not afraid of death, eh?”

" "

He squatted down. One end of the hook was lifted up like a raised up snake, the sharp tip wrapped in a looming chill, slowly approaching Bai Mo’s eyes. “Then I’ll just…”

The young man’s dark eyes stared at the other, and he said nothing, just gritting his teeth.

Like a flash of lighting, Fu Yucheng roared, “Little Mo, jump!”

Bai Mo understood what the other man meant in an instant. Gathering all of his strength, he suddenly turned around and leaped. The boy rolled off the front of the car, dangerously dangling  in the air!

The other end of the hook was still wrapped around Mo Ziwei’s arm. When Bai Mo rolled around like that, Mo Ziwei was suddenly pulled forward and, after staggering, he fell onto the roof of the car.

“Ah!” Mo Ziwei smiled in anger, the hook and chain spiraling up like a living creature. With a cold flash, the hook’s end slashed at Bai Mo’s throat.

The boy was hanging in the air and there was no way for him to avoid it.

Emitting just a soft sound, a lot of blood began to pour out.

Mo Ziwei looked down at his own abdomen in disbelief.

At some unknown moment, a blue blade had appeared on the roof of the car!

It turned out that when Fu Yucheng had just yelled and Bai Mo jumped off the vehicle, making Mo Ziwei fall… Fu Yucheng took his scimitar and stabbed directly through the roof of the cabin,

striking Mo Ziwei right through the middle of his abdomen!

All of this had happened in just two or three seconds.

Mo Ziwei clutched onto his abdomen tightly, a large amount of blood spilling from between his fingers. Involuntarily, the Spectral Hook loosened.

Bai Mo struggled to break free and, once he did, he returned inside the cabin.

“Good job, Little Mo!” Fu Yucheng praised the boy while turning the steering wheel 360 degrees.

Mo Ziwei, weakened after being injured, fell off.

The off-road vehicle rushed forward a couple dozen of meters, and then Fu Yucheng suddenly turned it around. The vehicle, like a mad beast, roared and rushed towards Mo Ziwei.

“Good, come!” Mo Ziwei sneered on the ground, the hook on his arm flickering with a cold light.

He roared and shook his arm violently, and the hook whistled, powerful like mountains and seas. He actually intended to split the off-road vehicle in half, from the front to the back!

Unexpectedly, before he could do so, Fu Yucheng turned the vehicle to the side diagonally, and the hook only sliced off a section from the rear.

But behind the off-road vehicle, there were five heavy armored fighting vehicles giving chase!

Mo Ziwei had no time to stop the Spectral Hook, which came whistling down with incredible momentum—

With a soft sound, five armored vehicles were chopped in half from the front to the back. Ten pieces of wreckage slid to the left and right.

" "

Mo Ziwei was lying in the middle of the split apart vehicles. Just a moment later, he attempted to climb aside.

Beard Xu and several other guards hurriedly jumped off the other vehicles and helped Mo Ziwei up.

After walking just a dozen meters away, a deafening bang came from the back —the wreckage of the vehicles exploded!

The desert turned into a sea of death. Those who hadn’t run out of the vehicles were carbonized. Several people, now on fire, wailed and rolled around the ground. There were even some whose bodies had been cut in two by the hook, now crawling around the fire looking for their legs. It was a gruesome scene.

Several men helped Mo Ziwei move to the side. He was gasping for breath, and, from behind the mask, his eyes stared at the sea of fire, his face pale.

“Fort Master, do you want to continue the chase?” A subordinate asked cautiously.

Mo Ziwei’s eyes slowly moved towards the dust lifted by the off-road vehicle, far in the distance, and then he shook his head.

The corners of his lips went up extremely slowly, revealing a cruel smile. “They will be back.”

The off-road vehicle galloped under the huge bloody sunset. Bai Mo glanced back. “Yu-ge, they’re not catching up.”

Fu Yucheng, with a calm face, said nothing.

The boy, keenly aware that there was something wrong with the other’s mood, couldn’t help but lower his voice. “What’s wrong? Is there any problem?”

Fu Yucheng sighed and pointed at the control panel. “Part of the car’s systems got damaged. It doesn’t matter, but… when Mo Ziwei struck with the Spectral Hook, he broke the water tank at the rear of the car, and the water leaked out.”

Bai Mo looked at the screen. Like a silent warning, scarlet letters kept flashing—

“Please note! Remaining water: 0.2%”

Fu Yucheng slowly stopped the car.

Bai Mo glanced at him. “Why did you stop?”

Fu Yucheng shook his head. “It’s not like I wanted to stop… The engine needs water in order to cool down. The water leaked out, so when the engine overheated it stopped automatically.”

He rubbed his forehead in distress. “We are now in the western area of New Sahara. Going in a straight line, the distance from here to the edge of the desert is about 150 kilometers.”

“Since we can’t drive the car, then let’s abandon it and walk,” Bai Mo said solemnly. “Isn’t there still a 0.2% of the water in the tank left? That’s four liters of water. We’re 150 kilometers away, and, with our speed, it won’t take us more than two or three days. We could use those four liters sparingly and make it through.

Fu Yucheng shook his head. “Little Mo, you underestimate the desert. Traveling by foot across the desert is basically equivalent to suicide… Heh, no wonder Mo Ziwei didn’t try to catch up. He’s waiting for us to go back and beg.”

He thought for a while, then slowly said, “There is another way… Little Mo, tie me up and take me back, pretend to surrender to Mo Ziwei. Then, we will wait for an opportunity to act.”

Bai Mo calmly looked at the man. “Yu-ge, knowing Mo Ziwei, do you think he’ll believe that? Will he give us time to wait for an opportunity to act? If I take you back, I’m afraid that the first thing he’ll do will be to directly use the Spectral Hook to snap off your limbs.”

Fu Yucheng smiled wryly. “You are right.”

He sighed and asked Noob to open the three-dimensional map, then he carefully traced the route on it. “If we abandon the car and walk, Mo Ziwei’s cars will be on the way. There is a large area of quicksand to the south, so we can only go north. However… it’s farther away, about one hundred and eighty kilometers.

“Four liters of water, one hundred and eighty kilometers. Maybe we can give it a try like you said, Little Mo, but…”

The three-dimensional map shone with a faint blue light, reflecting Fu Yucheng’s face in an ambiguous glow. He frowned slightly, looking a little uncertain and worried.

Bai Mo couldn’t stop himself from holding his hand gently. “Yu-ge, we will succeed.”
