Katariona Is in Good Spirits After Getting her Hands on a Magic Weapon/Tool, but the Fluffy God Is Sulking

The day has finally come for me to leave for the royal capital.

I was busy exercising at the treehouse, doing joint research on soaps and perfumes with Laura and Marie, and fluffing Leon. Three months passed in the blink of an eye. How quickly happy days fly by, don’t they?

And now I’m in a carriage on my way to the royal capital. It takes about three days to get from the Marquis of Grandeur’s territory to the royal capital. My territory is located in the northern part of the Kingdom of Findalia, so it’s a long way to the royal capital, which is right in the middle of the country.

Reluctantly, I went to the royal capital, partly because the royal family invited me and partly because it was my brother’s big day. The next territory is under the Magic Academy’s direct control, in which there are many magic tool stores. The magic stones of the magic tools were lined up in storefronts shining beautifully. 

As the name implies, the Magic Academy is a government institution that manages magic, and the magic attribute judges belong to the Magic Academy.

“I wonder if anyone sells antiseptic containers here?”

Mother, who’s sitting across from me, asked, “Is it going to be used for beauty products?”  

Father was sitting next to her. In order to determine the magical attributes of a child, it is necessary for the child to be accompanied by their parents. Although it is not a social season for Father and Mother, they are both accompanying Brother to the royal capital. By the way, I’m also bringing Leon with me. He is curled up on my lap, asleep right now. Marie is riding in the servant’s carriage.

“Yes,” I said. “Especially since the lotions get damaged easily.”

“I was surprised when Rio said she wanted to do research on beauty products. But I felt relieved knowing that Laura was willing to collaborate with you.”

Before nightfall, we arrived at our lodging place. It was a magnificent inn run by the Magic Academy, a place used by the nobility and the wealthy.

“The Marquesses of Grandeur has arrived.”

When the carriage arrived in front of the inn, an Academy of Magic staff member in a robe greeted us. I’m not sure what to make of it.

“Welcome, His Excellency the Marquis of Grandeur, the Marquess, and your children. Let me show you to your rooms first.”

“Yes. We’ll be in your care tonight.”

The staff member who greeted us seemed to be the person in charge of this inn. We followed the guide and were shown to the royal suite on the top floor. The room was connected to the parlor and the bedroom.

The room had a living room and three bedrooms. The rooms were divided into two rooms for Father and Mother, and one room each for Brother and me. Leon, of course, was with me.

After a while, three maidservants from the mansion came bringing our luggage. One of them was Marie.

I entered the room I was to share with Leon and Marie. The room was lined with elegant furnishings.

“The furnishings are very elaborate.”

“As expected of an inn in the Magic Academy. The lights and baths are also made using high-grade magic stones.”

My family also uses magic stones, but they are not as good as the ones used here. The luminosity of the lights is much different.

“Magic stones are dug from mines, right?

Leon, who until now had been pretending to be a cat-shaped holy beast, opened his mouth.

I tried to be a little cute with my request. Leon and Marie looked at each other and let out a deep sigh.

I put on the bracelet that Flare had given me so that I could appraise the magic tools. If I find something good, I’ll buy it.

I went from store to store. Something caught my eye in front of one of the stores. It was a small bottle with an antiseptic. This could be used to store lotion or perfume! The price was three silver coins. The price was high for the size of the bottle, but it was a magical item.

“Excuse me. Please give me three of these vials.”

The shopkeeper came out and wrapped the vials for me.

“Why did you choose only three? Miss.”

“I want to try them out before I buy in bulk. I want to try them out before I buy them in bulk for the liquid soap, perfume, and lotion. If I get good results, I’ll order them in bulk.”

“It would be better not to flick a lot of money at them. Even if you don’t, your appearance makes you an easy target.”

What do you mean? But then I noticed that I was surrounded by a group of men who appeared to be rather sinister.

As soon as she said that, Marie used her wind magic to blow the bad guys away.

“Well done! Way to go, Marie.”

“I didn’t get a chance to do anything.”

“Leon is a god. He shouldn’t meddle with humans.”

Leon nodded his head.

The next day, after breakfast, we set out from the Inn of the Magic Academy. My family was wondering why I was in such a good mood that I was practically singing.

“You seem to be in a good mood, Rio. Did something good happen to you?”

“Un. Yes, well, sort of.”

Leon was lying in bed, sulking. I wonder if he’s sulking because he didn’t get a chance to be a part of the action last night.

After one more night, we will finally arrive at the royal capital.
