Before I knew it, I found myself in a star-filled sky. For some reason, I could see the river of stars right under my feet, or am I imagining things?

“Princess Rio. I’ve been waiting for this day for so long.”

On the other side of the river, Leon was holding out his hand to me. He appeared as a young man, wearing an unusual outfit that resembled a suit.

“Princess? What are you talking about? Leon.”

” Once a year, on this single day, when we are allowed to meet, ……”

“You see me every day. Leon, what’s going on?”

Leon looks up at the sky with his hand on his chest. Is he immersed in his own world?　Are you okay, Leon?

I look into the starry river and see a reflection of my 17-year-old self. The color of my hair and eyes are the same, but my clothes look different. I was wearing a simple costume of a robe fastened with a sash. In my hair was a decoration I had never seen before. And, fluttering above my head was a seven-colored shimmering piece of cloth.

“Ehh! How can it be that I am already a grown woman?　And what’s with this crazy outfit!?”

” Come along, Princess Rio. Let’s cross the Milky Way and enjoy our time together.”

Over the river?　No way, no way!　You’ll fall in!　We will drown!

Leon steps out into the River of Stars …… ( so they say).

” No! Leon’s going to fall ……?

Leon walks leisurely over the river. Is it possible that you can float in this river?　I put one foot in the river and it froze. When I put my other foot on the river, I felt it too.

“I’m floating!　What’s more, this river is so fluffy.”

I stepped out, enjoying the fluffy sensation, and walked over to Leon. Fluffy. Fluffy. It’s very healing. As I walked along, enjoying the fluffy feeling, it didn’t take me long to get close to Leon. I was right in the middle of the river.

” We could finally meet. My Princess Rio.”

Leon’s face moves closer. He’s close!　Too close!　The beauty is close!　It’s blinding me!　Leon goes right ahead and buries his face in my shoulder.

“I’m sorry, Princess Rio. I’m sorry, Princess Rio, for skipping out on my fluffing and becoming separated from you due to the wrath of the heavenly gods.”

“Skipping fluffing?　What do you mean?”

　What does that mean?　Whatever Leon was saying sounded incoherent. 

“I won’t leave you again. From now I intend to be as fluffy as I can be. God in heaven, please let Rio go. Please don’t take Rio away from me.”

Leon turned into a lion with a poof.

“Princess Rio. You can fluff me to your heart’s content.”

You don’t have to tell me to fluff you up! I hug Leon and fluff his ears. I then proceed to fluff his mane. Fluff his belly and back, too. I cuddled Leon and fondled his belly and back. Ahh, I’m being healed.

“Ufufufu……fluffyy milkyway…….”

” Fluffy Milkyway?　Is there a river with that name in this country?”

“No, we don’t. No, we do not have a river with that name. Leon-sama.”

“But Rio is muttering about it in her sleep.”

“Fufu. Well, she must be having a good dream.”

After I woke up, Marie told me that I had been talking in my sleep muttering about, ” Fluffy Milkyway,” while fluffing Leon’s fur.

What a shame! I can’t remember what the dream was about. It must have been a good dream.
