After dealing with them for about two hours, when the other party wanted to arrange for He Zizhong to rest, He Zizhong decided to get up and say goodbye. “I have to go back and report the specific situation to my superiors.”

“Wait, then us here…” They have already been surrounded for months! Can’t rush out at all, and have to rely on that small piece of land in the yard. Even if there are plant-type abilities, they can’t feed so many people!

If they can get those zombies away…

A little leader next to Wei Jindao who has not spoken much leaned over. After listening, he quickly raised his hand: “This… wait a moment. We want to discuss something, and would like to trouble you to report this to your boss.”

He Zizhong silently gave Major Yan Xin some wax in his heart – he was already demoted to “boss”.

After He Zizhong nodded and agreed, even if the main people in charge were at odds with each other normally, they can only get together to discuss in a low voice at this time.

“After he leaves, what about those zombies?”

“Maybe those people in city A… will help?”

“How is that possible! With so many zombies, if it’s you, what would you do?”

“I mean let him take a message back to help us. Just divert these zombies away.”

“Why do people help us? Divert them away? Sounds nice, but the people in charge of the diversion will be sent to death!”

“What about this. Tell them we do have someone who was in charge at SH city base, but they’re recovering from a serious injury. We didn’t say it before because we forgot?”

“No, just say that person’s identity is a first-class secret, and is afraid he’s a liar so they didn’t reveal themselves!”

“That’s right, that’s the best way.”

Tuanzi floated in mid-air, transmitting footage of them getting together to discuss into He Zizhong’s eyes. When the other party came back and told him the news, He Zizhong knew they were lying. Of course, Tuanzi couldn’t hear their voices, but since they came back and were suddenly unanimous, only a fool would believe their worlds.

He Zizhong seemed to have a good temper and assured that he would bring the news to his superiors, then got up and left.

This base really is something.

Although he can understand their feelings, He Zizhong doesn’t want to be used as a gunman. If he didn’t notice that zombies only surrounded the vicinity but did not attack, he would definitely persuade Yan Xin after he returned to ignore this place, and head to the city to pick up things.

Walking out of the conference room, there were many people in the lobby on the first floor chatting in low voices. Seeing He Zizhong and his party going downstairs, all eyes were directed towards He Zizhong, creating the illusion of being treated as a circus monkey.

Randomly looking at the people in the hall, and seeing the middle-aged old man who had just poured water, He Zizhong was slightly puzzled. Then, he suddenly remembered who that person was! The neighbor near grandpa’s old house!

He Zizhong often went to his grandfather’s house before high school. He often took turns staying at his grandfather’s house or grandma’s house during winter and summer vacations, and would go over during the breaks as well. This man was the neighbor of his grandfather’s house. He Zizhong remembered that an old couple lived there. This man seemed to be the son-in-law of the family, but had never seen him after grade 6 when his grandfather passed away.

The reason why He Zizhong remembers this person is because he played with their granddaughter for a whole summer when he was in elementary school, and had a deep impression of them. Although he never saw the little girl again, the man hardly changed much –  this person has a lean body and an old face since before the end of the world, but in the post-apocalyptic world, has not changed much either… No, not only after the end of the world, he has most likely maintained this appearance since before the end of the world. He clearly remembered that the little girl’s mother was a beautiful woman.

The thought flashed through his mind. Seeing this person reminded him of some scattered memories of his youth before the end of the world. But now, he has more important things to do and more important people to protect. He has no time or energy to waste on an old neighbor he barely knows.

They returned to the fence. Although they need people from A city to help them get rid of the zombies, they are reluctant to open the door and let He Zizhong leave. Although there are no zombies in front of their doors, they can’t go further than one meter away from the walls.

He Zizhong went quickly, and returned decently soon after. Putting aside the three hours he spent consulting with those people after arriving the prison base, the total time spent traveling was no more than 3 hours. It’s a pity that the weather is dark and early. After he came back, the team had already lit a bonfire, and the defenders almost thought he was a zombie and almost attacked.

After seeing He Zizhong return, a person on duty immediately notified Yan Xin, and everyone who was camping outside for dinner looked over in his direction.

“How is it?” Yan Xin got up and greeted him.

“I met them, but did not see the people who were originally in charge at SH city.” He Zizhong briefly explained, and said to Lieutenant Zheng who followed to inquire about the situation, “I saw three main people in charge today. One is Gu Tian, 40 or 50 years old. One is Zou Li, who looks in his thirties, and another named Wei Jindao, who is also in his thirties.”

Lieutenant Zheng showed a look of disappointment on his face, and thought for a while: “There seemed to be an ability team in SH City before, the captain’s surname was Zou, but I haven’t seen them before. Among them…”

He Zizhong shook his head slightly. “No. It doesn’t look like there are soldiers. Listening to what some said, I’m afraid these people happened to escape to that prison after the city was destroyed.”

Lieutenant Zheng sighed softly and shook his head helplessly. “This is something that can’t be helped… ”

He Zizhong came back at the right time, just in time for everyone to finish their meal. Yan Xin had more questions to ask and knew he spent a day rushing. After hearing he hadn’t eaten anything there, he hurried let him rest first.

A few people on duty who came down for dinner smiled at him. “Fortunately, you waved to us first when you came over, or we would have attacked you just now.”

He Zizhong smiled bitterly. “If I hadn’t moved quickly, just now outside that base, I would have been beaten into a sieve. Of course, I have to be careful.”

A group of people rushed over to inquire about the news, but He Zizhong’s wrist was grabbed by a small hand: “Eat first!” – The wife came to grab someone, so everyone could only scoff and leave.

After He Zizhong left, Fang Hao finally found an excuse to lie in the car with the quilt and pretend to sleep. In fact, he was watching the situation on He Zizhong’s side. Although Tuanzi’s vision is mostly on helping He Zizhong to explore the way, he still helped Fang Hao watch He Zizhong from time to time. Later, it was confirmed that he was okay, and Le Tian pulled Zhang Xiaoming over as well, so Fang Hao didn’t stare too hard, and only glanced over from time to time.

Of course, he also saw the scene where the people on the fence pointed guns at He Zizhong. Even if he sympathized with the besieged people, Fang Hao, who saw that scene, immediately felt a great disgust towards those people — How dare you point a gun at my husband!

Taking advantage of everyone’s lack of attention, he first checked He Zizhong’s body to make sure there was nothing wrong, and then quickly handed him his prepared and replaced dinner.

After A city base was baptized by the zombie tide again, things finally settled down. The city gate opened wide, and a large number of people poured out holding small and large tools. Clean up zombies, dig crystal nuclei!

With crystal nuclei, they can improve their abilities! With crystal nuclei, they can exchange it for food and supplies!

After A city survived the threat of nearly being broken, all the existing forces immediately began to integrate, win over, and reorganize. New forces quickly emerged, one after another.

And these forces are also the first group of people who started to act after the city gates opened – the zombies all over the ground were killed by them during the defense. At this time, the enemies of the past are everyone’s harvest now!

Even if someone is in crisis because of a zombie that is not yet dead, everyone will quickly clean up those infected people and start their work again.

Only becoming stronger, stronger, and stronger can they survive!

Deep in the villa area, there was a mourning sound from a villa that was much larger than an ordinary villa. There was a black-and-white photo in the living room on the first floor. Song Xianghong and Song Qiaoqiao were wearing white linen clothes with red eyes and bowing their heads and crying.

Song Lao died. He did not die in the battle with the zombies, nor did he die under the enemy’s hands, nor did he die at the end of his life. He died under the “air attack” of those wind zombies.

At that time, no one thought that the zombies would make such a move. Song Lao, who had just finished a meeting, was by a group of bodyguards and directly smashed to death by a stone falling from the sky… How ridiculous? How ironic? He did not die on the battlefield, but died in battle.

Song Xianghong only felt that there was something wrong with this matter. With so many bodyguards following, many of whom had abilities, how could no one have noticed it?

But Song Lao’s sudden death made Song Xianghong mess up all of a sudden. When he came back to his senses – the other forces in the base were already preparing to retreat!

Song Lao did not agree to leave the base, but Song Xianghong was a little uncertain in his heart – what if the base really broke? However, with his father pressing down, he had to listen to him of course. But now that his father died, and everyone else ran away…

Just when the Song family was about to pack up and run away with them, his mother and the old lady after hearing the news, also fainted.

This time, he just wanted to run away, but had no chance. When he asked about it again—at least half of the zombies left with those people. If they went out, they might be killed by those zombies. It’s better to persevere!
