Hospital examinations were already a routine for Zhu Tong.

When he came out of the hospital, Zhu Tong’s body had recovered a lot.

At least it’s not like the usual: take one step and he’ll pant, take two steps and he’ll cough, take three steps and he’ll vomit blood.

His complexion was still not good, but his expression was as usual. With such a serious matter as coughing up blood, he didn’t seem to worry about any major problems with his body.

He didn’t intend to tell his family either.

Shao Ming stopped supporting him, and said in a casual manner, “Aren’t you going to call your parents?”

Zhu Tong instead asked, “Calling who?”

Shao Ming: “…”

During the examination just now, the doctor saw Zhu Tong’s complexion, and suggested that the youth get a few more extra checkups. Simply put, he was treated like a patient with a terminal illness.

Zhu Tong listened to all of the doctor’s lectures calmly, without any excessive emotions on his face.

To Shao Ming, it looked like he didn’t really care.

Shao Ming smiled and said, “You used to go to the hospital for checkups, right? You went there alone?”

Zhu Tong replied, “Well, almost.”

The family doctor, who was hired by his grandfather, was responsible for the arrangement. He couldn’t rely on his father.

He spoke indifferently, making Shao Ming’s smile slightly more restrained.

‘Going to the hospital for such an important health check-up alone? Without any family accompaniment?’

‘His health was so poor, do his family members even worry about him leaving A City by himself?’

‘If I don’t accompany him to the hospital today, then he’ll plan to come here alone?’

‘Or… just skip all this check-up.’

Shao Ming’s thoughts were running a mile an hour as he sat in the corridor, waiting for Zhu Tong’s number to be called.

‘This Young Master is really… so miserable.’

When the two returned to school, it was already the last afternoon class.

Shi Wenshu was not in the classroom; and the Class 3  students, who were usually self-conscious about discipline in self-study classes, were actually quite noisy now.

As soon as Zhu Tong entered the classroom, someone stopped him and informed him, “Zhu Tong, Shi-laoshi asked you to come back and go to the office.”

“…” Zhu Tong paused, and asked politely, “Do you know what’s going on?”

Someone from the back rushed forward to answer, “It’s the homeroom teacher of 1st year Class 1 who asked for you. It is said that she will bring Xiang Chuan to apologize to you. The school issued a notice to punish Xiang Chuan for serious misdeeds. I guess he came to ask you to intercede.”

“Hey, he has the nerve to intercede? Wasn’t he very aggressive when he did it?”

“He’s the one who hurt Zhu Tong until he’s like that, and he has the gall to ask to be forgiven with just an apology? Hey, I never knew that the power of such an insincere apology is that powerful. Who needs the school rules, am I right?”

What happened in the P.E class was well known to everyone in the class. At this time, everyone was filled with righteous indignation.

Perhaps it was because of the white moonlight Shao Ming in this class that managed to block the halo of Xia Yang’s heartthrob-ness. Thanks to that, everyone’s brain circuit was normal, and they could discern the good and the bad with their own morality.

Zhu Tong turned his head to look at Shao Ming, feeling that the taller boy was illuminated by Buddha’s light.

It was a powerful buff that can expel all approaching demons.

Like, one look and the demons go all “puff”.

“You look at me like that, do you want me to go with you?”

With this almost-mocking tone, the Buddha’s light (in Zhu Tong’s eyes) disappeared immediately.

Zhu Tong: “…”

He coughed and said, “No need.”

Then he turned and walked towards the office, which was located on the second floor.

Lu Shiman, the homeroom teacher of 1st year Class 1 was located beside Shi Wenshu’s desk. She brought two other students: Xia Yang and Xiang Chuan.

“Shi-laoshi, this matter is simply a misunderstanding,” Lu Shiman looked at Shi Wenshu and said, “Xia Yang’s fall by the sink was indeed his own accident, but Zhu Tong in your class was there when he fell. The fact is that he saw Xia Yang falling down and yet, he didn’t help him. Of course, I believe he definitely didn’t do it on purpose. Xia Yang also meant the same thing at the time, but he didn’t have time to explain. Xiang Chuan misunderstood his words and acted impulsively. Let it go, it’s just such a small matter, it won’t cause the school to record a major demerit for him, right?”

“Small matter?” Shi Wenshu almost laughed angrily at her, “It turns out that in Lu-laoshi’s heart, a student blatantly beating others at school should count as just a mere ‘trivial matter’. Is coughing blood a trivial matter too, then?”

This has been going for 10 minutes. Lu Shiman has been trying to persuade Shi Wenshu for so long, constantly emphasizing that Xia Yang’s wrong words were unintentional, and Xiang Chuan’s actions were also unintentional.

‘Unintentional? My students coughed up blood and had to go to the hospital is unintentional? What a joke.’

Seeing that he was unmoved, Lu Shiman laughed nervously and said, “Shi-laoshi, I…”

“Needless to say, Lu-laoshi,” Shi Wenshu interrupted her, “I will reiterate one last time. These two students are high-schoolers, they’re on the cusp of their adulthood. An adult should be responsible for your own words and deeds. So, if Zhu Tong’s condition is worsened, they should bear the consequences of their actions and get expelled instead!” “…!!” Hearing the word “expelled” made Lu Shiman’s expression paled.

The reason why she was standing here now was to revoke the school’s penalty against Xiang Chuan.

The behavior of the students in a class was linked to the performance of its respective homeroom teacher.

It wouldn’t be long before the city will conduct the selection of outstanding teachers in various counties, and the teachers who were successfully selected would have the opportunity to transfer directly to the city. It was no-brainer for her to sign up.

If there was a questionable student in her class who got a demerit at this time, there’s no need to daydream – she wouldn’t be selected.

Demerits cannot be recorded, let alone expulsion.

But she had said all the good things, Shi Wenshu just refused to let go. She frowned and turned her attention to look at Xia Yang.

Xia Yang hesitated for a moment, then stood up and said, “Shi-laoshi, I know this matter is our fault. I can apologize to Zhu Tong, but Xiang Chuan did it for me. If he is demerited, then I am also responsible, and Xiang Chuan really didn’t use too much force.”

Seeing Xia Yang defending himself, Xiang Chuan was completely moved, “Yangyang…”

Xia Yang glanced at him, then lowered his head.

Although on the surface he was worried about Xiang Chuan, in his heart he was overwhelmed.

If Xiang Chuan hadn’t suddenly attacked Zhu Tong, he wouldn’t be in this precarious position now!

Lu Shiman took advantage of the situation and said, “Yes, Shi-laoshi, you also know that Zhu Tong’s health is not very good, Xiang Chuan just pushed him lightly…”

“Ah, I see. It turns out ‘grabbing someone by the collar, then throwing him until he hits a wall one meter away’ is considered ‘pushing him lightly’.”

A cool voice interrupted them. It came from the teacher’s office door.

Several people looked at the source at the same time, and their faces changed drastically.

Shi Wenshu was originally sitting behind the desk with impatience between his brows and eyes. When he saw the person at the door, his eyes lit up, and he hurriedly got up and said, “Zhu Tong?”

Then, the teacher walked over, his face was full of worry, “How about the inspection? Are you okay?”

Zhu Tong smiled at him. “The results of the check-up have to be picked up after class.”

“Then how do you feel now?” Another voice asked suddenly.

Zhu Tong’s smile disappeared instantly. He looked at Lu Shiman with an eager face, thought of what he had just heard at the door, and asked, “Is this teacher teaching Chinese?”

Lu Shiman’s face was slightly stiff.

‘What does he mean?’

Shi Wenshu answered, “Lu-laoshi teaches English.”

Zhu Tong said, “Oh, her student is so good at turning big things into small things, I thought she was teaching Chinese.”

Shi Wenshu: “…”

His student seemed to have forgotten that he also taught Chinese.

Lu Shiman’s face flushed immediately. “You…”

Zhu Tong stared at her expressionlessly, void of guilt. “Isn’t it?”

Xia Yang’s “it wasn’t intentional” became “it wasn’t intentional for Zhu Tong not to help him”.

Xiang Chuan used violence against him, but somehow it became “a slight push”.

He was hit until he coughed up blood, but it was blamed on his poor health, as if he’ll cough up blood no matter what external stimuli he’s experiencing.

Everything has become his fault, right?

“Lu-laoshi brought the students here today to apologize to me?” Zhu Tong glanced at Xia Yang and Xiang Chuan, then raised his lips and smiled.

Lu Shiman’s spine shivered from his inexplicable smile.

Zhu Tong purposefully enunciated his words slowly:

“I’m sorry, I don’t accept your apology.”
