Hello, friendos. I finally have some down time in my hotel room, so I felt the need to upload some chapters for Sick Villain bc the last update was almost two weeks ago. I finished a couple of them, so I’ll be posting them on today and tomorrow. Enjoy~

Zhu Tong didn’t know for a moment whether he was telling the truth or joking.

–Did he come because he was worried?

Kinda true, but not quite hitting the spot.

Zhu Tong didn’t know whether to nod or not. He sat on the lounge chair with his back against the wall, staring blankly at the youth standing in front of him.

He felt kinda… nervous.

Shao Ming raised his eyebrows. He didn’t have the heart to tease him anymore, so he sat down beside him, “Are you here alone?”

Zhu Tong nodded subconsciously, then shook his head hastily, “…Uncle Liu sent me to the square.”

“…”

Shao Ming changed the topic, “Is your foot all right?”

Zhu Tong replied, “It’s all right.”

“Let me take a look.”

“No need…”

Shao Ming squatted down on one knee as he spoke, then grabbed his right leg despite Zhu Tong’s refusal. He placed the injured leg onto his lap.

Before Zhu Tong could finish his refusal, he instinctively exclaimed.

–Then, he heard someone exclaim louder than him.

Among the girls waiting to buy milk tea at the counter, someone shrieked, and then quickly covered her mouth in surprise.

Zhu Tong looked over subconsciously and saw them scrambling to raise their mobile phones one by one. Their cameras were facing Zhu Tong’s direction.

“!”

Zhu Tong was startled, and instinctively retracted his legs.

Shao Ming pressed his legs a little bit forcefully, opened his pants legs and looked at his ankles. The redness has gone down a lot, but was still noticeable. The state made him frown.

Although the milk tea shop was situated on the square, the distance from the entrance of the square to the milk tea shop was not close.

Despite that, this injured young master was still queuing outside.

Shao Ming let go, looked up at him and said, “How long have you been queuing?”

As soon as his legs were free, Zhu Tong immediately put them down, and replied in a panic, “No, not long.”

It was less than half an hour, so it wasn’t long in Zhu Tong’s opinion.

Shao Ming doubted his answer nonetheless. “You know you have an injury on your foot, but you still go to the queue?”

Zhu Tong glanced at the long queue in front of the counter, and said dully, “Well, they also do the same.”

“…”

‘Oh, so you queued up because others did that?’

Shao Ming looked at him with a complicated expression for a while, then suddenly laughed and said, “Why are you so honest?”

Zhu Tong: “…”

‘Is this a compliment or an insult?’

Before he could react, the girls at the front of the counter became excited again.

‘Why is the handsome xiao gege suddenly kicking!’

‘Why Mr. Waiter is so proficient and natural at caring for him!’

‘His smile in the end is so doting!!!’

The girls almost couldn’t restrict themselves from huddling together and screaming loudly!

On one hand, Zhu Tong was nervous about Shao Ming’s indistinguishable attitude, but on the other hand, the girls were suddenly excited and joyful.

‘What are you so excited about??’ Zhu Tong complained in his heart.

Shao Ming was not affected at all, and continued to “scold” him, “In the future, if you come to this shop, just come inside directly. No need to queue.”

Zhu Tong still insisted on defending himself. “I didn’t come to find you…”

“I know,” Shao Ming interrupted him, “Didn’t you think I went to work?”

Zhu Tong: “…”

This clearly painted Zhu Tong as someone who sneaked behind Shao Ming’s back!!

Shao Ming still looked at him with a smile, “Where do you think I work? Washing dishes in a restaurant? Or moving bricks on a construction site?”

Zhu Tong suddenly looked at him in astonishment.

Shao Ming was taken aback by his look, and after realizing it, he said in fake surprise, “So in your opinion, I am more suitable to move bricks on a construction site?”

Zhu Tong was dumbfounded for a moment. ‘Stop putting words into my mouth!!’

When Shao Ming said he wanted to work part-time, he did think about various jobs. He looked at Shao Ming’s current appearance. He was wearing blue work clothes and a peaked cap. It was simple, but he looked capable and refined.

He said very sincerely, “This is also very suitable for you now.”

Shao Ming: “…”

–”Also” very suitable?

So this young master really imagined the scene where he went to the construction site and wore those yellow safety hats?

What made him have such a misunderstanding of himself?

For Shao Ming, who has always cared about his image very much… His narcissism was hit for a bit.

But looking at the innocent and nervous looking person in front of him, Shao Ming couldn’t get angry at all.

“You…”

Shao Ming was rarely speechless.

At this time, a young man passed by the two of them. He took a bag of ice cubes from the freezer next to the lounge chair, went back to the counter, and said to them with a blank expression, “Can flirting wait until after work? I want to get off work on time.”

Zhu Tong and Shao Ming: “…”

‘What flirting?’

‘The fuck are you talking about?’

Zhu Tong blushed and wanted to refute that careless statement. But he somehow felt that the young man’s chastising voice sounded familiar.

Zhu Tong raised his head and looked at the busy waiter who had returned to the counter. When the waiter lowered his head to fill a cup, Zhu Tong saw his face clearly.

“Lu Zheyu?”

At that time, his homeroom teacher said that it was inconvenient for the second ranked student, Lu Zheyu, to give him tutoring.

‘So why is he here?’

His doubts were written directly on his face. Shao Ming smiled, and explained, “Well, he works here.”

Zhu Tong looked at Shao Ming, “So you two worked here together?”

Then, another voice sounded. The familiar voice was currently sitting on a rotating high chair by the counter. He dramatically rotated the chair, facing Zhu Tong. With a lollipop in his mouth, Luo Suo looked at Zhu Tong and spoke to him with a complicated expression. “Student Zhu Tong, although I understand that your head is filled to the brim with the thoughts of Ming-ge, but I have to remind you that we are classmates. I have been sitting here for so long, and yet, you haven’t noticed me. I felt so betrayed.”

Zhu Tong: “…Sorry.” He really didn’t notice that there were still other workers!

He realized something belatedly, and looked at Shao Ming, “Did I interrupt your work?”

Shao Ming immediately smiled and replied, “Yes, how do you plan to compensate me?”

“I…” Zhu Tong faltered as he racked his brain. After a while, he looked at Lu Zheyu who was busy, “Is there anything I can do?”

Shao Ming: “…”

He was about to stand up to help, but Shao Ming hurriedly held him down, feeling speechless and helpless, ” You can help the most by sitting properly.”

He then continued with a pained expression. “Your foot is also injured because of me. So if the injury worsens, I will blame myself very much… Anyways, would you like something to drink?”

Zhu Tong : “…”

Why did he feel that he was rejected?

As he thought about this, his ever-so-loyal system quipped at him: ‘Are you sure your help won’t just worsen things up?’

Zhu Tong didn’t give his beloved system an answer.

He looked around in the milk tea shop, and saw all kinds of ingredients and tools for the job. Lu Zheyu and the others were very proficient, and he… was completely unable to do it.

As if resigned to his fate, he said listlessly, “Give me a glass of boiled water.”

Shao Ming: “…”

‘What is this Young Master here for?’

He poured him a glass of water as promised, and then got back to work.

With the addition of Shao Ming, the efficiency of making milk tea was much higher. But Zhu Tong could only hold the boiled water and watch them being busy.

Good-looking people were eye-catching no matter what they did. And that effect was amplified the more there were good-looking people concentrated at one place.

Needless to say, Shao Ming was a handsome guy with a thick face, the kind who could make people fall for him just by looking at him. Luo Suo was not bad-looking, with an inch-shaved head and earrings, he had a handsome “bad boy” temperament that attracted girls.

What surprised Zhu Tong was Lu Zheyu.

His seat was situated behind Lu Zheyu’s desk, and this was the first time he looked at Lu Zheyu’s face with full concentration.

He had high brow bones, peach blossom eyes, deep eye sockets, and beautiful facial structures. The only “blemish” on his conventionally-attractive face was his deep, dark eyebags. It made him look gloomy and tired.

‘He didn’t have enough sleep?’ Zhu Tong took a sip of boiled water to moisten his lips, feeling puzzled.

And what’s even more strange is, why is this milk tea shop okay?

At this time, his phone suddenly vibrated continuously. Zhu Tong restrained his thoughts and took it out to have a look.

It’s Uncle Liu.

If Uncle Liu couldn’t find him, then he must feel like an ant in a hotpot1.

He lowered his head and sent a WeChat reply to Uncle Liu to share his address, asking him to pick him up later.

In front of the counter, Shao Ming packed a cup of milk tea and handed it to the customer. Looking back, he saw his deskmate currently playing with his mobile phone, looking obedient and quiet.

Really childish-looking.

A smile escaped from his lips. It was a rare, genuine one too.
