The Strongest Sect of All Times

Chapter 22: aptitude transformation fluid

“What?! Li Qingyang joined the Ironbone Sect?”

“What?! The Ironbone Sect Head gave pointers to the Azure Mountain Sect elder, making deeply grateful?”

“What?! The Spirit Spring Sect had an arm cut off because of him?”

The martial artists who had not been there to see it with their own eyes all had the same expression on their face — complete and utter stupefaction.

It had to be said.

Jun Changxiao’s three actions on the training field had caused quite a stir!

When he brought Lu Qianqian and Li Qingyang back to the sect, it was only about noon. The city exploded with the news, as everyone started discussing.

“Impossible!”

“That garbage sect actually has such a valiant sect head?”

“It’s not just a rumor, right?”

“Don’t call it a rumor! I personally saw it happen!”

“Unbelievable!”

“The Ironbone Sect cut off Elder Wei’s arm, isn’t that equal to thoroughly offending the Spirit Spring Sect?”

“The Spirit Spring Sect is not affable. In my opinion, they will soon lead people to Qingyang Village and look for trouble with the Ironbone Sect!”

The matter the people were worried about, Jun Changxiao was also worried about.

However, thinking about his 97 contribution points and the items he could buy, he was quite confident. As long as the Spirit Spring Sect dares to send people over, I will make them return lying down.

What did he transmigrate for?

Wasn’t it to become stronger, to act cool?

Being bullied by others? Chased all the way to his doorstep? This was not something uncles could endure, nor could aunties or children endure.

The great Sect Head Jun quite anticipated the future now. If the Spirit Spring Sect came looking for trouble, it was a great way to promote the sect. He would let the world know: my Ironbone Unyielding Sect is something you cannot offend!

A gust of wind blew through the worn down wooden doors, creaking with a ‘gazhi ghazi’, seeming like they were about to fall off.

Li Qingyang stood about ten meters away, looking at the ruined buildings and then at the signboard which read ‘Ironbone Unyielding Sect’. With a grimace, he said, “Sect Head, is it too late to rescind my application?”

“Too late.”

Jun Changxiao’s response was filled with bitterness.

(Dear all the readers, this is my Ironbone Unyielding Sect!

Within 100 years, not only do I have to make my sect the top sect on this continent, I also have to recruit 100,000 disciples — simply hell mode!)

“Hee-hee, hee-hee!”

A three-year-old without diapers happily hopped along the road. He stopped at the entrance to the sect, and industriously fertilized the weeds.

“Aaaah!”

Jun Changxiao pulled out his blade and roared, “Kid, you dare to urinate in front of my Ironbone Sect, this lord must cut off your ding-dong!”

“Sect Head, calm down!”

Li Qingyang quickly grabbed him, fearing that he would do something insane.

“Wahhh!”

The three-year-old child was frightened and started to cry. He ran off, but also shouted his grievances. “Mommy! Gousheng is bullying me!” [1]

“Aaaah!”

Jun Changxiao roared, “Brat, if you call me ‘dog leftovers’ again, don’t think this lord won’t butcher you!”

“Sect Head, calm down! Calm down!”

Li Qingyang clutched onto his arms.

“Huff!” Jun Changxiao took a deep breath, stabilizing his mood. “As the lord of a sect, how could I lower myself to the level of a three-year-old child?”

Shua!

He flicked his sleeve and said, “Let’s go, we should go inside—”

Putong!

Just as he walked to the entrance, the signboard was blown off by the wind and smashed into his head, sending him sprawling down the stairs.

Li Qingyang: “…”

Lu Qianqian: “…”

“Aaaah! I must destroy it!”

“Sect Head, calm down! That is the signboard of our Ironbone Unyielding Sect!”

“Since our Ironbone Unyielding Sect must develop, we should first clean up the interior and exterior of the sect. These broken doors and windows should all be replaced.”

Sitting in the main seat of the hall, Jun Changxiao commanded.

This trip to Qingyang City had put money into his pockets. The first thing he had to do was repair the sect. It didn’t have to look splendid, but it should at least be pleasing to the eyes.

“Sect Head,” Li Qingyang reminded with a whisper, “Your head is still bleeding!”

“Don’t bother, don’t bother.” Jun Changxiao patted the wound, which was from being hit by the signboard. “I will hand over these matters to you, complete them to the best of your abilities.”

“Yes!” Li Qingyang said.

“Alright.”

Jun Changxiao handed him several bank notes and stood up, swaying slightly. “This lord is a little dizzy. I will go back to rest first.”

The Ironbone Unyielding Sect was built on a barren hill near Qingyang Village, because ever since Sect Head Wang slipped off the cliffs, the villagers rarely visited.

But these days, the villagers discovered that numerous carpenters, bricklayers, and others climbed the mountain, transporting materials up and down the slopes.

“Is there an overhaul in the Ironbone Sect?”

“Did that Gousheng brat become rich?”

“Impossible. He went to beg Aunt Wang for food a while ago, how could he have money.”

“Go, let’s go take a look.”

The villagers climbed the mountain in small groups, but were stopped by Lu Qianqian at the pass. “My sect is being rebuilt at the moment. Those who are not disciples cannot enter right now.”

“Miss.” The villagers smiled and said, “We are people from the village, with Gou—”

Clang!

Lu Qianqian’s sword had already been unsheathed. She coldly said, “The sect head has commanded that whoever dares to say his childhood name will be summarily executed.”

Shua!

At that moment, the Qingyang villagers suddenly all become martial arts masters and disappeared without a trace.

Lu Qianqian sheathed her sword and muttered, “‘Gousheng’ sounds much better than ‘Jun Changxiao’, why is Sect Head so upset?”

Matters of rebuilding were handled by Li Qingyang.

The great Sect Head Jun sat cross-legged in his room, wondering, “The membership has been filled, but the disciples need to fulfill the missions in order to promote construction.”

Shua!

He opened the system interface and discovered that there were still no sect missions and was puzzled. “System, when will there be missions?”

The system said, [Wait.]

“…”

Jun Changxiao was speechless. He opened the store and looked to see if there was anything useful.

With martial skills and a weapon, there wasn’t anything he needed for now.

Wrong.

He lacked cultivation!

Jun Changxiao did not believe that he would be able to survive with his Meridian Opening Stage Five cultivation; he urgently needed to increase his cultivation!

“Is there an Experience Talisman?”

He started search, but founding nothing even when he hit the end of the list.

Jun Changxiao lay in his bed, covering the still bleeding bump on his head. “Does this mean that I have to be like the other martial artists here and actually cultivate through meditation?”

It wasn’t that he couldn’t, but that it was too slow!

After all, this body’s aptitude was only so-so. With no high-tier core technique, the highest he could reach was probably Martial Apprentice.

“Right!” Jun Changxiao smacked his forehead, exclaiming as blood spurted from the wound, “I can transform my aptitude!”

Shua!

He opened the interface again and scrolled through the list, locking onto an item named ‘Aptitude Transformation Fluid’.

He clicked on the details.

[Item: Aptitude Transformation Fluid

Effect: Can transform the body’s aptitude, upgrading the original foundation. Note: this item is limited to use by low-grade spiritual roots.

Effectiveness: Life-long

Price: 50 contribution points]

“50 points??”

Jun Changxiao reread and saw that the price was indeed 50 points and wanted to collapse. “An item to transform aptitude is so expensive?”

“Makes sense, makes sense. Aptitude decides a martial artist's cultivation speed and realm limit; there is a reason for it to be expensive.”

Without hesitation, he chose to buy.

[Ding! The host has spent 50 contribution points, obtaining Aptitude Transformation Fluid x1. The item has been transported to the storage ring.]

[Ding! Sect Contribution: 47/100.]

[1] Gousheng 狗剩, literally translates to ‘dog leftovers’. It is commonly used as an insult, meaning something along the lines of “you’re so trash that even street dogs don’t want you” or “dogshit”. But this is actually JCX’s nickname because in the countryside, many parents use a simple naming system based on when the kid was born. So 狗 (dog, ‘gou’) means he was born in the fifth month of the year and 剩 (left-over, ‘sheng’) means he was born on the eleventh day of the month — his birthday is thus May 11th.
