Ch.51 Will You Fight? (2)

The original character’s father, Father Xiao was a famous pianist, and the original character’s mother, Mother Xiao was a violinist. Xiao’s father kept a low-profile, he was less exposed to business matters and had a gentle personality, but he was very charismatic when he played the piano.

Therefore, although Father Xiao didn’t earn as much money as a family business, he still had a lot of connections. After all, most of the people that pianists came into contact with were not ordinary people.

The Ji family almost collapsed due to the financial problem they had faced back then. Father Xiao met Grandpa Ji because he loved to listen to the piano. After hearing Grandpa Ji talk about his situation, Father Xiao didn’t make any guarantees.

However, Father Xiao asked around, and several of them helped the Ji family get through their period of difficulty because of Father Xiao.

This is what Ji Xuan meant about, the Xiao family had used to help the Ji family when they were met with some difficulty.

Xiao Yu was the Xiao family’s only child. Both Father Xiao and Mother Xiao chose to not have another child because they were busy running to various concerts. Especially Mother Xiao, she always felt that there was still room for her to improve, and kept on working hard.

Since Xiao Yu was born, she asked Father Xiao to teach Xiao Yu every day, hoping that she would become a famous pianist like Father Xiao, rather than being unknown, like herself.

It was a pity that Xiao Yu turned out just like Mother Xiao, who wasn’t talented in violin, and Xiao Yu’s piano skills were just average. Even with the guidance of a world-renowned pianist, she just barely got full marks for her piano exams, but she never won a championship in any competition or music festival.

Although Father Xiao didn’t force it, Mother Xiao wasn’t satisfied. Xiao Yu was still young and rebellious. She hated the piano that tied her down all the time, and she also hated her mother who always forced her to practice the piano and her father who couldn’t help with it. They were always quarreling at home, even the last time she met her parents, ended with a fight.

The morning when her parents died in a car accident, it happened when they were on the way back home after the New York Music Festival.

The original character, Xiao Yu didn’t even have the time to argue with her mother on how she was being too controlling over her, and she didn’t even have the time to go to a concert with her father, and just like that, she became an orphan. The fortune left by the Xiao family instantly made her relatives, that acted really kind to them at first, to pounce on her like a pack of wolves.

Even if her father had many friends, they couldn’t stop her from being exploited by her relatives, even if she was about to turn 18 that year, greedy people would always have all kinds of reasons, such as funerals and ancestral graves, they could create any sort of reasons to get a piece of her fortune.

Only the Ji family bore the infamy, they helped lead the funeral to a perfect end as their in-laws, and helped her and Ji Xuan hold a wedding.

Grandpa Ji was a very good person. He said that Ji Xuan was willing to take up this responsibility. The banquet was held to shut the other’s mouths, anyway, she could only get the marriage certificate when she turned 20.

Two years later, she can make her own decision whether she wants to get that marriage certificate.

What happened was the original character did fall in love at first sight for Ji Xuan, and Ji Xuan did too, fall in love at first sight when he saw her. On the night of the wedding banquet, she was 18 years old, they had sex.

This is how Ji Yu was born, but unfortunately, the original character had always kept a secret from him. This secret led to the beginning of her downfall. Xiao Yu suspected that her parents didn’t die in an accident, also, her mother had very high expectations of her to become a pianist.

Based on these two points, the original character’s desire to become a pianist after her parent’s death was like the last straw that she held tightly onto as she was sinking deep.
