Chapter 38: 90-Degree Bow

Xia Yishan arrived at the set feeling anxious. Along the way, she was struggling with how to face her secret boyfriend, Su Jingting. She was not supposed to let anyone know about him.

However, when Liang Qiaoen took her to see the director, Sun Zhengting, her boyfriend was nowhere to be found.

The director went to Xia Yishan and politely informed her, “I’m sorry, Xiaoxia. Best Actor Su has an unexpected situation, so he’ll be here half an hour late. Please wait for him.”

“Don’t worry about it. I’ll just wait.” Xia Yishan waited at the resting area the crew had set up dutifully. Liang Qiaoen went to see the producer, while her assistant, Xiaoying, brought her a glass of warm water.

“Ms. Xia, I saw the male lead earlier.” Xiaoying was a rookie who had just finished her probationary period. She had not had much time on the set, so she would still get excited when she saw celebrities.

“Do you know who the second male lead is?”

‘Su Jingting is more handsome than the first male lead although he’s just the second lead.’

Xiaoying nodded in excitement, “It’s Best Actor Su. I’m his loyal fan.”

“Save your screams for when he arrives later.”

There was a commotion behind them. Xiaoying disappeared the next second as she chanted ‘Best Actor Su’ loudly.

Su Jingting was getting out of the hired car. He had dressed differently from the black suit that he usually had. Instead, he wore casual student attire, and his hair was wavy. Some wavy locks fell over his forehead, and gold-framed glasses were on the bridge of his nose. He looked like an 18-year-old youth.

She was stunned watching him.

She had lived two lives, and it was her first time seeing Su Jingting like this. He was such an adorable puppy!

She held her head down and looked at the little white skirt and shoes she was wearing. She had a cute hairstyle and simple makeup on, giving out the same vibe as the Best Actor Su did.

Su Jingting walked toward Xia Yishan directly. He had Assistant Sun and Ye Xin around him.

Xia Yishan was rather anxious, noticing that he was walking directly at her.

‘Is he going to expose our relationship…?’

Assistant Sun knew about both of them, so he spoke first, “Director Sun, Agent Ye, this is the talent our company has just signed. Her name’s Xia Yishan.”

Assistant Sun had been handling Su Jingting’s investments, so Xia Yishan did not find it odd that he called him ‘Director Su’.

Since he had already taken the effort to introduce them, Xia Yishan could only nod at the both of them, “Hi, Best Actor Su. Hi, Agent Ye…”

“Hi,” Ye Xin gave a formal smile.

On the other hand, Su Jingting looked at her for a couple of seconds. “Hi. So you’ve just signed under Asia Entertainment, which makes you my junior sister?”

What he said was unexpected. He surprised Assistant Sun and Ye Xin.

Assistant Sun reacted immediately and tried to ease the situation, “Yes, Ms. Xia is your junior sister. She has a cameo playing your first love in the movie…”

Su Jingting nodded. “Work hard.”

Xia Yishan did a 90-degree bow immediately. “Thanks, Best Actor.”

Su Jingting headed to his private dressing room, while Ye Xin glanced at her twice before leaving.

Assistant Sun was secretly mocking him, ‘He was throwing a tantrum because he was half an hour late due to work, and now he’s chilling as soon as he arrived. He usually wouldn’t even come to the set when he’s busy.

‘He called Ms. Xia his junior sister. That’s exclusively for her. He ignored all the beauties from the entertainment industry that wanted to ride on his fame.

‘Best Actor Su never involved himself with any celebrities in the industry at all. Now look at what he’s doing. He’s getting himself involved with Ms. Xia publicly.’

Su Jingting knocked on the dressing table three times and ordered, “I’ll buy everyone’s lunch and refreshments today. Go sort it out.”
