Sure enough, he had already returned. She saw Chi Chenyan sitting on the sofa, his laptop on his lap, his long fingers tapping on the keyboard, and still busy with work.

Lu Li narrowed her mouth.

Chi Chenyan heard Lu Li’s voice coming downstairs. He closed the laptop, looked at Lu Li, and said: “Lu Li.”

Lu Li nodded, “Yes.”

There were no words for a while.

Chi Chenyan spoke first: “Let’s eat.”

Lu Li: “Okay.”

The dishes were very rich. The two sat facing each other, the only noise was the slight clinking of the table wares.

Lu Li poked the rice in her bowl with her chopsticks.

She doesn’t often eat with Chi Chenyan. He is often busy working overtime and traveling every day. She is also busy watching shows and chasing stars. Both seem to have their own affairs, like two parallel lines that does not intersect.

Lu Li felt really embarrasses about eating like this, so she began a conversation: “Do you know that you made it into the super chat?”

Chi Chenyan reacted when he realized that Lu Li was talking to him. He asked, “What’s the super chat?”

Lu Li: “…”

The corner of her mouth twitched. She was too lazy to explain and just said, “It’s nothing.”

Chi Chenyan nodded, not interested in asking more, and continued to eat.

Lu Li was influenced by her mother. In order to maintain her figure, she usually ate very little for dinner.

She finished eating quickly, staring at the rice bowl in a daze.

She felt powerless living and dining with her husband.

Although she is having a good time in this loveless marriage, she still feels bored when her husband is in front of her.

Who would want a fake marriage for a lifetime. 

Which little fairy, who has grown up to be spoiled, would not want to be hugged by her husband?

Lu Li imagined being hugged and held high by Chi Chenyan, and couldn’t help but shiver.

Sweet love does not belong to the marriage of wealthy families. She and Chi Chenyan are not the same as other people at all.

Lu Li knew from the first time she met Chi Chenyan that their auras are polar opposites. The two are not suitable, and neither Chi Chenyan nor her, is the ideal type of the other person.

She also doesn’t like him, a man who has no interest in life except for work and inheritance. If not for this marriage, even if the two people meet, they will never look at each other.

It is said that when the two elders were planning their marriage, they counted the eight characters for the two. The fortune teller was so excited and said that he has never seen a couple more suitable. The two were a match maid in heaven. This once again strengthened the determination of the two families.

Chi Chenyan withdrew his sight.

Lu Li went upstairs to her bed room.

Chi Chenyan’s room has a matching study. If comes home, he will usually read and work in his study. Lu Li’s room is equipped with a fitness room with some fitness equipment and yoga mats.

It was late when Lu Li finished her exercise and went to the bathroom to wash.

After reading documents in his study, Chi Chenyan went to the cloakroom, picked out his pajamas, and then saw that there seemed to be more space reserved for Lu Li.

Lu Li loves to watch shows and buy clothes.

This is not a special hobby.

Chi Chenyan went to the bathroom with his pajamas, and just happened to meet Lu Li who was finished with her shower and coming out in her pajamas.

The two exchanged glances.
