Ch13 - Stop it! Stop it

Sunnyshies: I found many people confused about ch 12. Man, I really wanted to write big spoiler, but…hahaha….Let Fang He-miao explore all the mysteries for a while.

For this chapter, I will used these term, and you’ll see them from now on. 

I divided the section of the Peach-core Space, cause it was really big and Fang He called them differently.

Peach-core Space – the whole magic space itself. (there’s also the peach-core spaces, that will be mentioned when describing the Peach-core Building–just treat it as the room inside the house.)Peach-core Wonderland– the small word inside the space, the whole wilderness.Peach-core Building– A three story house resembling the peach core bell.

There’s also another place (the center of the peach-core space), but I’ll update when Li Zhen and Fang He come there.

Fang He rub his head against him for a while, and Li Zhen’s response to him was just rubbing his head and smoothing his fur. It’s totally unlike normal people’s reaction. 

Fang He was so sad that he couldn’t be any more sadder. What would he do in the future? At this time, Li Zhen seemed to be stuck on the edge of completely becoming a zombie. Fang He also didn’t know if Li Zhen would eat people after he went out. Now that Li Zhen did not eat him, could this prove that Li Zhen was not controlled by the zombie’s instinct to eat?

 

Fang He stood on Li Zhen’s shoulders, he looked around and planned to go to the Peach-core Building first.

Looking at this giant peach-core bell with it’s natural pattern, Fang He didn’t know how to get in. He ran around the Peach-core building and found a door-like structure in the other side. Fang He stretched out his cat paw and pushed hard, and the door opened silently.

The interior within the Peach-core Building was spacious and bright, with a light taste of peach wood. Over all, the whole building consists of three floors, and each floor has winding branches of peach-core pattern, forming many spaces of different sizes.

The light came in from the openings of the giant peach-core bell, lighting up two whole peach core spaces. These spaces were formed from the branches and vines of the peach-core pattern, although they are separated from each other, the gaps are connected, and this strange structure makes every small space very bright and spacious. 

Fang He looked at it for a while in surprise, then climbed up along the lines of the branches and vines. Li Zhen also quickly followed behind him. The winding branches and vines did not hinder their movements even when changing lines.

He turned around each spaces inside, except for the branches at the entrance of the top floor. The complicated structure of these branches form three complex script, but the scripts are too complicated. For Fang He, who has little knowledge, he don’t know it at all.

After turning the whole place around, he did not find any other clues, so even if Fang He wanted to figure out the origin of the Peach-core Wonderland, he could only set it aside.

Turning his head, he looked at Li Zhen, who was always following him. Fang He flicked his tail to Li Zhen’s side. If only there was food here, honestly, they would not need to go out.

However, after a short while, Fang He perceived something. Some sort of information about the Peach-core Wonderland flooded into his consciousness. Fang He vaguely knew that there seemed to be a limit to how long they could stay here. After a while, he and Li Zhen really left the Peach-core Space and reappeared in Li Zhen’s room.

Fang He was taken aback, the sky outside was already bright. He hurriedly to the bay window of Li Zhen’s bedroom, then relying on a cat’s good eyesight, Fang He looked down from the height of the 22 story building, and saw that the people below are in a mess. Listening with his ears upright, he could hear fearful screams of people everywhere. 

Fang He’s cat paws were pressed on the bay window glass, and his jasper-like cat eyes looked at the situation downstairs. And just like his previous life, at dawn on this day, the whole world fell into extreme panic without any warning. More than 80% of people were infected with the zombie virus for unknown reasons and became zombies that eat humans and various animals.

A few years after the apocalypse started, people speculated that the zombie virus outbreak was caused by an unknown powerful cosmic rays that day, then the zombie virus suddenly spread throughout the world, which lasted at least twelve hours. Then, the zombie virus that was suddenly stimulated by the cosmic rays suddenly became dormant again and turned into an ordinary zombie virus that was transmitted using blood and fluid secretion.

 

It’s just that people still don’t know the origin of this zombie virus. It is as if this virus just appeared out of nowhere and then pushed humanity to the edge of struggling to survive.

Fang He looked at the bay window for a while, and then his cat paws shrank. He was reborn two days before the end of the world, but all kinds of accidents made this advantage disappear. He turned to look at Li Zhen, who was always following him a few steps away. He then made a decision in his heart, starting today, he will take Li Zhen with his cat body to explore this apocalyptic world. 

Just when Fang He’s determined green cat eyes and Li Zhen’s seemingly evil looking pure black eyes met each other, Li Zhen’s cell phone suddenly rang outside, breaking the silence between one person and one cat.

Fang He’s cat ears moved, while Li Zhen over there did not respond. Fang He hesitated for a while before running over. The mobile phone placed on the coffee table by Li Zhen was lit up. Fang He leaned over to see that the caller ID above, and it seemed to be Li Zhen’s sister Li Yue.

Fang He turned his head and looked at Li Zhen who came out. He was a little sad and worried. If Li Yue could still call, then it means that Li Yue is not infected with the zombie virus, but Li Yue is a pregnant woman who is about to give birth. Can she protect herself when there are such zombies everywhere?

The cat paw pressed the phone. His soft paw pad slid against the phone for a long time before he finally connected the call. Unfortunately, Fang He could only hear Li Yue saying something vague, and then there was no sound anymore. 

Looking at the phone with black screen, Fang He-mao used his cat paws to dial back for a long time, but it just didn’t work. Fang He meowed in anger for half a day. Then Fang He remembered that on the first day of the apocalypse, the communication system only lasted less than half a day before it completely collapsed for some unknown reason.

Fang He became anxious, and circled around the phone. He didn’t know if he was too anxious that even Li Zhen could feel it, Li Zhen stretched out his hand to smooth the fur on his back. Fang He paused. He looked back at the expressionless Li Zhen, and made up his mind to help Li Zhen find Li Yue no matter what.

Fang He jumped off the coffee table and started to carpet search Li Zhen’s room. However, Li Zhen has a lot of things, especially the things on the bookshelf. There’s too many, Fang He didn’t know how to start. He thought to himself, if he could take all these things away, he would collect materials while searching for people along the way.

Then, something strange happened. Li Zhen’s desk where Fang He’s cat paws were stepping on suddenly disappeared. Fang He who suddenly fell to the ground was stupid for a while, then he became excited. When he sensed that Li Zhen’s desk was now inside the peach-core bell, the whole cat spins around excitedly several times. He then ran to Li Zhen’s bookshelf and received the whole wall of books into the Peach-core Space. 

Fang He took all the things in Li Zhen’s room into the Peach-core Space. He found a relatively large space in the peach-core shaped building, and tidied it up according to the layout of Li Zhen’s room.

When he walked to Li Zhen’s laboratory, Fang He squatted at the door and looked at it for a while. He is a little bit resistant to these experimental equipment, but this is probably Li Zhen’s baby. Otherwise, he will not be so careful in organizing a whole separate house to collect these things. So Fang He will also receive these experimental equipment in the space.

In the corner of the wall, Fang He accidentally found an independent power supply device, which looked like a solar generator. Fang He took a lot of effort to collect the solar panels that was placed outside.

When everything was cleaned up, Fang He stood in the empty room, while thinking about the next arrangements. Yet, at this moment, chaotic footsteps sounded in the corridor, and a man’s mournful cries could be heard through the door. 

Fang He moved his cat ears, while Li Zhen next to him turned his head. Then suddenly, he left Fang He’s side, rushing to the door very quickly.

Fang He was shocked and immediately followed. He watched as Li Zhen kicked open the door that made out of steel plate, then rushed to the direction of the man who made the sound.

Meow! Fang He was frightened, then with a sudden surge of power inside him, Fang He ran out to chase after him. His speed is even much faster than Li Zhen.

When Fang He caught up with Li Zhen, the strange middle-aged man had already been forced into the corner by him, and Li Zhen was about to pounce on him. 

Fang He rushed to Li Zhen’s head. His cat paws controlled Li Zhen’s head tightly without scratching Li Zhen, blocking Li Zhen’s sight. He yelled, meowing at Li Zhen loudly.

Fang He will not let Li Zhen eat people no matter what. He had this dark feeling that as long as Li Zhen had eaten human flesh, everything would be irreversible.
