T/N: Hi guys, we are now stepping into VIP chapter territory! Which means it starts to get paywalled in the original source. So do consider supporting the author at JJWXC (link and instructions in the novel summary) and me (for buying the chapters *ahem*). There is a huge increase in word count for each chapter for the VIP chapters (from 2-3k to 6-7k Chinese character count!). I’ll be splitting the chapters and posting them on different days, so that I can maintain my current update schedule of twice a week (every Wed & Sat). Each chapter part is >1k English words, and I’ll post 1-2 parts each time depending on how fast I translate (I have a full-time job from 9am-9pm on weekdays, I can’t churn out whole chapters biweekly T.T). The total number of parts will be shown at the end of the chapter title e.g. ‘Chapter 24.1 – Big Golden Thigh Who Stood Up for Bunny (1/6)’, so for those who don’t like to read split chapter parts, you can come back and read the whole chapter when you see (6/6). Thanks for reading our bunny girl’s adventures in the apocalypse, have a nice day everyone~

At the moment, Qin Fuhai and his teammates were all standing quietly while facing another group of people who were not far away.

The trees and the ground around them had been riddled with holes, and tall trees nearby had been snapped in half. Tree branches fell,  scattering dust in the air.

Some mutated insects that were hiding in the grass were startled and ran out. A half-meter-long centipede ran by Sun Fang’s feet, and her face went pale with fright.

She didn’t dare to move at all. She didn’t want to distract the teammates in front of her.

Qin Fuhai handed Yin Yiliu back to her, and the woman and child were shielded by the group of men standing in front of them.

She could only see the men’s trapezius muscles and broad backs, blocking all the danger ahead. Sun Fang’s eyes reddened, and she held Yin Yiliu closer in her arms.

Qin Fuhai didn’t dare to let his guard down.

Their biggest crisis of getting chased down by the beast had been solved. The huge mutated wolf lay on top of the tree it had knocked down, and the snapped tree trunk as thick as two people hugging around it pierced through the abdomen of the wolf. The blood that gushed out of its body formed a blood-red pool.

The gray fur of the wolf was torn with wounds of varying sizes, but the wound that caused its death was the one on its face.

A sharp icicle was thrust into the eye of the mutated wolf; the bloody scene sent chills down the spines of Qin Fuhai and the others.

There was a small creature leaning against the wolf mother. It was the wolf’s newborn pup.

The little pup was about half the height of a man, and its fur was soft and shiny. It was completely black from head to toe, except for the two white fluffy patches on top of its pointed ears. Its pupils were red, which was a feature not commonly seen in wolves, and tears welled up in its crystal clear eyes like a human.

It whimpered and pushed its mother’s huge body with its nose, as if it was trying to wake its dead mother.

And the perpetrator was standing at a distance, casually glancing at the dead wolf mother and her strange little pup with an indifferent expression on his face.

These people who hunted down the mutated wolf were well armed. The large man standing at the front was wielding a modified hand cannon. From the looks of it, one could tell that it was a very powerful weapon. This was the weapon that was used to inflict multiple injuries on the wolf.

A cute little girl in a red dress stood behind him. She appeared to be around the same age as Yin Yiliu, staring fervently at the whimpering pup.

While hovering on top of everyone was a young man with wings on his back. His large wings resembled cattail-leaf fans1 flapping behind him, and his feet were a pair of sharp, hard, and big eagle claws.

One of his claws was grabbing onto the shoulders of another man in mid-air, while a huge bucket of water was hanging on the other.

The young man who was grabbed in mid-air had a frail body, and a layer of frost formed on the surface of his arm. He was the one who gave the mutated wolf the fatal blow by stabbing it in its eyes.

He hunted together with the mutated eagle-clawed guy as a power duo. Although the wolf mother was big and powerful, it didn’t even have the chance to touch them.

The little girl in the red dress with big round eyes and lovely face raised her head to look at the young man in mid-air, but what she said wasn’t exactly pleasant.

“Brother Qiu Qiong, can I have Baby Wolf now?” she asked while blinking her eyes and pointing at the little pup that was still clinging to the dead wolf.

The mutated eagle-clawed guy, Qiu Qiong, smiled and looked at the pup. “Of course, it now belongs to you.”

The little girl in red was the daughter of a big shot in the military. She had been raised in City H, far away from the capital, from an early age. These were the special forces soldiers who had been looking after her all this time.

As the apocalypse arrived, these people developed various mutated abilities. And in the last few minutes before the global network broke down, they received a message from the military big shot, their immediate superior, to bring the little girl to City B unscathed.

The little girl had been spoiled since young and had always been the boss of other kids her age. She never thought of her arrogance as a bad thing, and those who had watched her grow up thought she was innocent and cute.

‘She had every right to be arrogant.’ That was the way she was raised.

Following the apocalypse, they had chosen three soldiers with the strongest mutated abilities to escort the girl to City B. Everything was new to her, and she wanted to get her hands on everything she saw.

Qiu Qiong, the leader of the three, was also the person who spoiled the little girl the most. He would fulfill all her demands.

That was why when the little girl saw the black little pup behind its wolf mother, she was drawn to its unique fur color. “Brother Qiu Qiong, I want that puppy!” she demanded, pointing to the pup.

Qiu Qiong stroked her hair and smiled. “That’s a baby wolf.” he corrected her.

“I want that Baby Wolf then!”

The wolf mother was an untamed wild wolf that had just been transported to City M. It was pregnant at that time. After the apocalypse, it gave birth to a little wolf pup, and at the same time, evolved into the strongest mutated animal in the area.

It had very sharp senses. Although it didn’t gain spirituality, it sensed danger when it heard the little girl’s yelling and saw the dangerous-looking man set his sight on its little pup. It picked up the pup with its mouth, gave Qiu Qiong a deadly stare with its blood-red eyes, and let out a low threatening growl, trying to ward off these people.
