After stopping the car, they decided to move away the stones in the middle of the road, so they went out and checked.

Jin Yang no longer felt the sharp pain in his legs, so instead of sitting in a wheelchair, he walked while carrying Yin Yiliu in his arms.

The stones blocking the way out of the city seemed to be rubbles knocked down from the surrounding buildings that had been smashed into the already soft ground by strength-type evolved people.

The stone wall was built tall. Zhao Qiyang jumped to touch the top of the wall. He was not short, but his hand still couldn’t reach the top. He was still a palm’s length short.

“They stacked them way too high!”

Zhao Sihui tried to hit the wall with all her strength but it didn’t budge. It seemed that the wall was pretty well-built.

The black wolf, who had been following behind the car, finally saw the people getting out of the car. When it saw Zhao Qiyang leaping to touch the top of the stone wall, it got excited and howled before running over to them.

It had only recently been born. It was still a child in human terms, not far from Zhao Qiyang.

Zhao Qiyang raised his guard when he noticed the black wolf’s eager gaze. He hadn’t forgotten his grudge against this animal. If Jin Yang hadn’t pulled him in time, his head would have been separated from his body by now.

Among the team, he was the one who had the most animosity towards the black wolf.

The wolf clearly didn’t like him either. Its very human-like eyes cast a contemptuous look at Zhao Qiyang while snorting through its moist nose, and it dashed towards the wall in excitement.

It used a lot of force, slamming its head and body into the stone wall like it couldn’t feel any pain at all. The dust in the crack between the stones fell off, and the wolf’s body bounced away from the impact.

Yin Yiliu winced in pain on behalf of the wolf. What was this dumb little wolf doing?

Zhao Sihui tried to drill a hole in the stone wall with the steel needle formed from her hand to peek through the wall, but it didn’t work either.

She shook her head at Jin Yang and said, “I can’t. It’s too tough.”

Was changing another route the only option?

The black wolf pup, who thought that the game of hitting the wall was uninteresting, smelled a trace of blood mixed with a tinge of rotten smell between the stone wall and the shops.

It was curious, wagging its tail and slowly approaching the source of the smell.

The smell came from a jewelry store.

Wagging its tail, the wolf took a glance at the humans who were still examining the stone wall before it followed the smell into the store.

In addition to gold, there were all kinds of diamonds in the jewelry store. The wolf wasn’t a fan of the glittering gold. When it saw the source of the smell, even a brave little pup like it was shocked. “Awoo!” it let out a howl and hurriedly ran out of the shop.

In a panic, its toe was caught in the door of the jewelry store, causing it to whimper in pain. After it ran towards Jin Yang and the others, it reluctantly approached the fur dumpling it had looked down on.

When Yin Yiliu read the brain waves of the little wolf, she was momentarily stunned. This was the first sentence it said to her after this stinky wolf’s true nature had been exposed. After listening, Yin Yiliu moved her gaze towards the jewelry store.

The little wolf said there was something very disgusting in there. When Yin Yiliu asked what it was, it said it was a human being.

Yin Yiliu didn’t know what was so scary about people, but the wolf’s reaction and the silent jewelry store gave her the intuition that something unusual was in there.

She tugged at Jin Yang’s sleeve, jumped out of his arms, and motioned for him to follow her.

The Zhao siblings saw Jin Yang following the mutated rabbit to the jewelry store and understood that they must have discovered something.

This rabbit was very weird. Although they had always seen and heard Jin Yang, who was as cold as a lump of ice, talking to the rabbit in a gentle voice, and most of the time this rabbit would even nod its head seriously like it understood what he was talking about, they still felt very unbelievable.

What was so special about an ordinary rabbit?

Later, the Zhao siblings came to understand that it was precisely because Yin Yiliu looked so ordinary that it was unusual.

After the apocalypse, all animals and plants looked like they had eaten growth hormones. Only this rabbit maintained its original size. In this world where ‘big’ was the norm, it wasn’t normal for Yin Yiliu to remain so small in size.

Jin Yang bent down and picked up Yin Yiliu, holding her in his arms, before they entered the jewelry store. He was afraid that something in the store would spring up and hurt the little thing.

After the wolf provided them with the information, it sat at the foot of the stone wall uninterestedly.

When Jin Yang walked into the store, he listened carefully to the surrounding movements, but there was no sound at all. It was reasonable to say that there couldn’t have been any scary creatures inside.

But when he reached the innermost part, he immediately understood what caused the black wolf to run out, and Yin Yiliu saw it as well.

Jin Yang frowned and subconsciously covered the little rabbit’s eyes. He didn’t want her to see the eerie scene, however, his hand was pressed away by the rabbit’s paw lightly but firmly.

Yin Yiliu wanted to see. She couldn’t always be protected by Jin Yang, oblivious to her surrounding dangers. She needed to learn to grow up on her own.
