Chapter 31.1 - Rushing Out of the Giant Tree Area

The Zhao siblings glanced at each other, both not knowing what to do. As Jin Yang approached them, Zhao Sihui hesitated for a while before suggesting, “Why don’t we take a detour? This shouldn’t be the only exit.”

Jin Yang shook his head, disagreeing with this, “If we go somewhere else, how do we know if there is nothing else there as well?”

They thought that Jin Yang had a valid point.

Yin Yiliu’s jumping ability had improved significantly. It was perfectly possible for her to jump to the top of the stone wall. Her marble-like clear red eyes stared closely at the top of the wall. She squatted on Jin Yang’s arms and lowered her little buttocks, preparing to leap.

Her plan was straightforward. She would just stand on top of the wall to scout the other side.

However, before she could jump, Jin Yang pressed her head down. When she looked at him, her Big Golden Thigh’s gaze shifted coldly towards the black wolf that was squatting in the corner and wagging its tail.

“Let the wolf go instead.”

Who knew what lay beyond the wall. Since this wolf had shamelessly tagged along with them, it should contribute a little.

The black wolf understood Jin Yang’s words. It whimpered aggrievedly and stood up reluctantly. Then it bent its hind legs slightly before powering up its leg muscles and leaping. Its front paws firmly gripped the top of the stone wall, and its hind feet stood firmly in the cracks between the stones.

As the fluffy white fur on the tip of its ears shook, Yin Yiliu really felt like stroking it for some reason. Jin Yang had always been the one to stroke her fur. She was also a fluff lover, okay? She liked girly things and wanted to pet cute animals too!

If her rabbit neck wasn’t so short, she would have buried her face in her own soft little belly.

At this moment, looking at the white fur on the tip of the pup’s ears and its smooth black fur, she couldn’t help making grabbing motions with her paws. If the wolf wasn’t a black belly1, she would have already gotten her hands on its fur.

The wolf took a look over the wall before getting down. After it had stabilized its body, it took a glance at Jin Yang and walked to Yin Yiliu’s side.

“There’s absolutely nothing on the other side except for…a tree.”

Yin Yiliu was incredulous as she listened to the wolf’s sound waves. There were now trees everywhere, and the city was about to be taken over by them. Could it be that their judgment was wrong, in fact, there was nothing behind the stone wall, and the human skin flowers in the jewelry store were just a mere coincidence?

This group of evolved people built the stone wall merely to prevent ordinary people from leaving the city?

As she was still thinking, the intermittent sound waves of the little pup came through again.

“But it’s really big, way too big.”

Yin Yiliu couldn’t imagine how big a tree could be, but she knew that she needed to be cautious. The sight of the weird flowers just now left too deep of an impression on her, and now she had developed an emotional aversion to plants.

So she jumped off Jin Yang’s arms, hopped to a tree beside the road, patted the trunk, and gesticulated frantically with her paw-paws with her fluffy chest held up high, attempting to express her thoughts through gestures.

The Zhao sibling’s only thought was that the little rabbit was way too cute, tip-toeing on its hind legs and waving its short little ‘hands’ while chirping, but they couldn’t understand what Yin Yiliu meant.

Zhao Qiyang scratched his head while wondering aloud, “What is it doing? Dancing?”

Yin Yiliu sighed at his stupidity and looked at her Big Golden Thigh with expectant eyes. I’m sure he understands me!

Sure enough, Jin Yang didn’t let her down. After some thinking, he looked at the little rabbit and asked, “You mean that there is a giant plant on the opposite side?”

Yin Yiliu clapped her little paws excitedly and jumped back into Jin Yang’s arms. My Big Golden Thigh is as smart as expected.

Looking at the excited rabbit, Zhao Qiyang was puzzled. What ability did Bro Jin use to seamlessly communicate with the rabbit? How did he comprehend such abstract gestures?

With the knowledge of what was on the other side, everyone felt slightly reassured.

Jin Yang walked to the stone wall. He handed Yin Yiliu, who was in his arms, to Zhao Sihui and told them to back away before touching the hard stone wall.

Yin Yiliu sighed in her heart that Big Golden Thigh’s hands were so beautiful that it was unfair. The joints were slender and well-proportioned. When he was clenching his fist, she could see the slightly protruding veins at the back of his hand, which looked really cool. She looked down at her meaty little paw and sighed again. By the time she raised her head, Big Golden Thigh had punched at the stone wall.

The skin on his arm hardened rapidly as if a layer of hard scales emerged from his flesh and blood to the surface of his skin. Yin Yiliu guessed that his evolution might be taking the genetic form of another animal.

But when his fist with a faint golden shine slammed into the stone wall with a dull thud, she couldn’t help but widen her rabbit eyes. The point of contact had dented inward, and dust was flying in the air.

Jin Yang’s arm wouldn’t break, right? Why did he suddenly become so fierce, and more importantly, were there animals that were golden in color? Jin Yang was not genetically mutated, was he?

Before the people who were eating melons2 at the side could react, Jin Yang had already thrown another punch at the sunken stone wall. As a thump sounded, a huge rock stuck on the wall was knocked out, leaving a hole in the middle.

Once there was a breakthrough point, it would be much easier to break down the stone wall.

Zhao Qiyang took the initiative to do the labor work and dug from the hole. Yin Yiliu, on the other hand, was a little worried. She jumped to Jin Yang’s side and raised her head to look at the man’s clenched fist.

“What’s wrong?” When Jin Yang looked down at the little rabbit, he gave off a very indifferent feeling, but Yin Yiliu could hear the gentleness hidden deep within.

She saw that the man didn’t pick her into his arms like he usually did, so she stubbornly pounced at Jin Yang, her paws grabbing onto his clothes like a koala.

Jin Yang didn’t expect her ‘sudden attack’. He subconsciously held the little rabbit’s heavy buttocks to prevent her from falling.

Now Yin Yiliu could see the man’s hand. There were some grazes on the back of his hand stained with dust, and the surrounding area was red and swollen.

He had really gotten injured!

The little rabbit glanced at Jin Yang complainingly before taking out a small bottle of alcohol from her space, struggling to hold the slippery bottle with her paws. Jin Yang couldn’t bear to see her struggle and held it for her.

She hugged the stopper of the bottle and removed it with a pop. The strong scent of alcohol irritated the rabbit’s nose. She sneezed and plopped in Jin Yang’s arms with her little paws all spread out.

Then, she took out some cotton swabs and gauze from her space and carefully disinfected Jin Yang’s wounds, smearing on the alcohol while looking at his face.

Jin Yang had always had a cold expression. She didn’t know if it was because he had just used his abilities, but there was still a touch of gold in the center of his eyes, which seemed to be much darker than when Yin Yiliu first saw them.

It was as if he couldn’t feel the pain in his hand, his deep and serene eyes kept staring at Yin Yiliu, causing the little rabbit’s heart to beat rapidly. She quickly lowered her head and focused on disinfecting his wound.

Damn it, the villain is too charming, what should I do?!

Jin Yang was way too good-looking. Being stared at by such a superb handsome man, there was no one whose heart wouldn’t pound, that is, unless they were dead.

Fortunately, he couldn’t tell if the rabbit was blushing because her face was covered with fluffy white fur. She kept her head down pretending to be calm.
