TL: ClearSprings

After blacklisting another person, Tang Tang fell into contemplation.

Su Can’s words and actions this morning made it clear that she has torn faces with her and stood on Shen Yulin’s side. Therefore, in any event, she should not have posted such a Weibo, not to mention she was flamed by the entire network right now. It is also unlikely that their company would allow them to have any association with Tang Tang.

Yet, Su Can still posted something on Weibo now. Could there be some internal conflict between them?

Their group has not become whole yet and they are already falling apart. It seems their future is somewhat bleak. [Why not read directly on ClearSpringsTL(.)c o m? Also, please do not repost elsewhere.]

Tang Tang had already deleted Su Can’s WeChat. As for Su Can, she was still restlessly waiting on the other end for Tang Tang’s reply.

Although she made it into the top 9, her popularity was not that great. The reason for her previous jump in popularity was largely because of Tang Tang. But now, Tang Tang did not debut and then she and Shen Yulin are at odds. As she reflected on her current situation, Su Can immediately understood that, going forward, she had to continue to pretend to be Tang Tang’s bff and continue to hype their sisterly feelings. Perhaps when Tang Tang is in a good mood, she might pull her along…

She believes Tang Tang would definitely return to the entertainment industry and that she and Tang Tang would go back to being close. She was not the one who caused Tang Tang to lose her chance to debut. Besides, Tang Tang was actually not too bright and was easily moved. Therefore, as long as she continued to act like she did before, Tang Tang will definitely feel touched.

After waiting and waiting, her mobile phone finally got a reply. Su Can hastily opened WeChat.

Tang Tang sent a screenshot. It was a comment under the Weibo post.

[OMG, begging you to stay a little farther away from Tang Tang. All because she causes trouble and you get scolded!!!]

When Su Can read these comments, even though she was happy, she still did not dare to let Tang Tang see them. Therefore, just a moment ago, she only sent Tang Tang a screenshot and did not have Tang Tang look on Weibo.  Tang Tang is an overly sensitive girl and cannot bear to see people scolding her online. As such, Su Can was certain that Tang Tang would not dare to look on Weibo anytime soon.  The result was that Tang Tang unexpectedly went on Weibo.

Su Can immediately felt anxious. Just as she was about to reply to Tang Tang, another message come in. [Why not read directly on ClearSpringsTL(.)c o m? Also, please do not repost elsewhere.]

[Listen to the fans]

Su Can: …What … does… this mean?

[Have a better memory, ok?]

[Dear]

Su Can’s face turned pale. What did Tang Tang actually mean by have a better memory?  Is she saying listen to the fans and stay away from her, or is there another meaning?  Su Can was baffled. After hemming and hawing, she still decided to act like she did not understand and continued to reply to the message.

[Tangtang, I have never thought that you implicated me. All along, I have been quite grateful to you. Without you, I do not know what I would have done during these three months. You will always be my best friend. Do not the fans words seriously…]

Hit send. Submission failed.

Send again. Failed again.

Offline? Bad signal?

Su Can was dumbfounded. She turned off the wireless, turned on 4G, and hit send again. After that, there was finally activity from WeChat. A big box popped up.

[You are not friends. Please send a friend request first…]

There was a buzz in Su Can’s head.  [Why not read directly on ClearSpringsTL(.)c o m? Also, please do not repost elsewhere.]

The issue was not the internet speed, but because Tang Tang… deleted her?

Having solved another minor inconvenience, Tang Tang put down the mobile phone. When she glanced at the rearview mirror, she happened to accidentally meet Uncle Li’s line of sight. She gave a polite smile and continued to turn her head to look out the window.  She was thinking that, after she was not so busy, she would completely change her communication methods, otherwise changing one or two contacts at a time is truly annoying.

The vehicle proceeded steadily for nearly 50 minutes and stopped upon arriving at Shengyu, broadly known as Shengyu Media Corporation.

According to the novel’s setting, Shengyu Media is the colossus of the Entertainment Industry.  Its headquarters is located in S City and the company has businesses all over the world. Their brokerage companies, record companies, and film companies all have outstanding performances. Their music albums, concerts, movies, TV dramas, variety shows, and books are all flourishing.

And all of these belong to Ming Shaoyan.

When she thought about how she would be meeting Ming Shaoyan in a moment, Tang Tang suddenly felt a little nervous.

Some of the previous messy speculations once again rushed forth.

Tang Tang shook her head and walked into Shengyu.  There was very little difference between it and the company that exist in reality. There were handsome men and beautiful woman coming and going in all directions. After Tang Tang stepped in, no matter who it was, as long as their gaze fell on Tang Tang, there was no one who was not surprised.

“Isn’t that Tang Tang?”

“Why did she come here? Don’t tell me she wants to sign with our company?” [Please read directly on ClearSpringsTL(.)c o m? Also, please do not repost elsewhere.]

“How could that be possible,” Someone said in a hurried tone. “The entire network is scolding her. It is basically impossible for her to make a comeback. Director Ming dislikes these empty-headed flower vases the most.  Even if you sign someone, it should be signing someone like Yan Yan. Her kind, ah, was fated to never be popular…”

She is Yan Yan, but she is also Tang Tang.  Nowadays, she is unable to feel any joy in hearing these words.

These people speak maliciously of others behind their backs. When faced with such immoral situations, one must not keep a low profile.

Tang Tang coldly stared over there. A certain actress who spoke the loudest turned sluggish from her stare, but in the next moment she glared back fiercely.  She does not need to pay heed to a newcomer who relied on her face to gain a little popularity.

What a pity that Tang Tang did not see her staring back. The doors to the front elevator opened. A secretary, neatly dressed in professional attire, directly walked over to Tang Tang to personally welcome Tang Tang and bring her upstairs.  Just then, everyone saw Ming Shaoyan’s personal secretary appear here, so all conversations were instantly silenced.

Tang Tang was somewhat amused. However much Ming Shaoyan dislikes Tang Tang, she has already borrowed his name to show off twice.

[TN: I think the first time was when she got on his Maybach.]

Full marks for ability to act pretentious.  Tang Tang sighed with emotion.  One must say that this “Little Uncle” really comes in handy.

The one who came to receive Tang Tang was Ming Shaoyan’s personal secretary. He was neatly and tidily dressed in a western style suit, appearing as if he was ready to attend an important meeting in any moment. Tang Tang suddenly recalled a passage about Ming Shaoyan in the novel. Demanding. He was demanding of himself and also extremely demanding of others.

Even the secretary’s clothes were more were much tidier than the other secretaries’.

The elevator stopped on the highest floor, the eighteenth floor. The secretary pointed at the only door on the eighteenth floor and told Tang Tang she may go in herself. Tang Tang thanked the secretary.  Just as she was about to step in, she saw someone come out. [Come read directly on ClearSpringsTL(.)c o m? Also, please do not repost elsewhere.]

[TN: Author used “秘书小哥” but it was awkward to translate secretary young older brother so I just left it as secretary.]

Tall and long legged, a full head of grey hair done in an extremely pompous hairstyle, and an incomparably handsome face that was revealed when he lifted his head. Yet, the moment he saw Tang Tang, his handsome face was full of shock.

“How can you be here?!”

Bai Chen could not imagine why Tang Tang appeared here. After the shock subsided, only anger remained. As if he was afraid of being seen by others, he strode over in 2 or 3 steps with his long legs and wanted to pull Tang Tang aside.

The little handsome brother in front rushed towards her as if he wanted to beat someone. Tang Tang instinctively retreated a couple steps to increase their distance. She was a tad displeased.  [I would be too if you aren’t reading this on ClearSpringsTL(.)com]

“What are you doing?!”

And who is this?

Bai Chen had not yet sensed anything wrong, he only remembered how Tang Tang pestered him these last two months and felt unbearably disgusted.

He had someone he liked since early on. That person was thousands of times better than Tang Tang, but Tang Tang pursued him relentlessly. At the time, the program was still recording, and he could be captured on camera anytime and anywhere. He was a mentor and Tang Tang was a trainee. Therefore, even though he had a bellyful of fire, he could only endure.

Bai Chen is actually quite patient with women, but Tang Tang is the first and the only one of the opposite sex who caused him to not have the least bit of patience.

“Tang Tang, I’m telling you, I do not like you one bit. Not now and even less likely in the future. If you do not want me to loathe you even more, then it would be best if you get farther away from me.”

This familiar attitude and these familiar words, even if she did not recognize the face, Tang Tang could tell who this person was.

Isn’t this the little fresh meat that the author matched her with, Bai Chen?

Bai Chen is an artist under Ming Shaoyan?

She skimmed over the novel when reading so Tang Tang completely forgot these minor details.

In reality, Yan Yan is an actress and Bai Chen is a singer. Their circles were different so there was no intersection. Other than the times she is filming, Yan Yan did not particularly pay attention to what happens in the circle. Therefore, she only heard of the popular little fresh meat’s name. Yan Yan never saw Bai Chen in person. Only once did she search for Bai Chen’s picture, and that was out of curiosity after she finished reading the novel that day.

He was quite handsome.

But, compared to the person in front of her, there was a big difference. Tang Tang did not have to think hard to understand the reason.

The author who wrote the fanfic must be one of her fans and was definitely also a fan of Bai Chen. Otherwise, the author would not make them a pair. Since the author was a fan, the filter is somewhat thick. For example, the novel’s Yan Yan is proficient in 12 different languages and had an off the charts IQ and Bai Chen is a rarely seen musical genius in the Chinese circle with a top-notch appearance.

[TN: The author was not given a gender so I had to repeatedly use “the author” to reference him/her.]

The Bai Chen, who existed in the imagination, resembled the original Bai Chen, but as if his appearance was beautified.

Unfortunately, regardless of how handsome he was, Tang Tang was not interested.  In Tang Tang’s mind, a 19-20 year-old youth was essentially no different from a 13-14 year-old brat.

Currently, the beautified version of the brat Bai Chen, lowered his voice and menacingly warned her, “I don’t like you, so keep a distance from me. I told you this multiple times already. This is the last time. If there is a next time, you would not be able to bear the consequences.”  [There are no bad consequences for reading this on ClearSpringsTL(.)com]

The man was not talking big but he was quite big. Tang Tang pretended to be scared and cowered. Afterwards, she changed her expression in a flash, generously gifted Bai Chen with a roll of her eyes and backed away another two steps.

Bai Chen was baffled, “What are you doing?”

Tang Tang very perfunctorily replied, “Keeping a distance from you.”

Bai Chen: “…”

Bai Chen had never been rendered speechless by a girl before and especially felt choked by Tang Tang’s one sentence. He momentarily flew into a rage out of humiliation, “Then, why don’t you hurry and leave!”

“I already said stay away from me. You still have not left! What are you doing here? Inviting my enmity?”

“Why should I leave? I did not come here for you.” Tang Tang was simply bemused.

“If you did not come to Shengyu to look for me, then who are you looking for? Don’t tell me…” Bai Chen finally reacted and said in astonishment, “You came to find Director Ming???”

Tang Tang nodded. Yesh yesh, so hurry up and get out of the way.

Bai Chen blanked out for a moment, looked at Tang Tang from head to toe with eyes full of disdain, then sneered and spoke tauntingly.

“A person should have a sense of proportion and know their own worth. Tang Tang, I don’t know how you got in here, but as your former mentor, I nevertheless want to advise you to stop wasting time. Director Ming is not that kind of person and will not look upon a useless flower vase who has nothing but a face. Be clear about your own status and abilities. Don’t have crooked thoughts just because you have beauty and a have bit of popularity…”

“A person does need to have a sense of proportion, but one should also know respect.” Tang Tang’s expression turned cold. She was not keen on talking to Bai Chen too much, but those words spoken by Bai Chen were truly a bit offensive. Tang Tang interrupted Bai Chen’s words, “In my eyes as well, you are merely a minor celebrity who is a tad handsome and have a bit of popularity.”

Bai Chen felt that if he was not having problems with his ears, then Tang Tang has gone insane.

A tad handsome? A bit popular? A minor celebrity?  Bai Chen was stunned.

After Tang Tang was done speaking those words, she directly walked pass Bai Chen and walked towards Ming Shaoyan’s office. As she walked by Bai Chen, Bai Chen appeared as if he had just reacted and quickly sneered, “Then let’s see whether Director Ming would want you, who cannot even compare to a minor celebrity.”

Haha. Tang Tang was too lazy continue their exchange and directly headed to the office.

Bai Chen watched Yan Yan1 walk head into the office and laughed bitterly as he took large strides into the elevator.

[1 The author switched back to calling the MC Yan Yan here  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  ]

He has just been scolded by Tang Tang so did not have time to react. Now that he has calmed down, he understood why Tang Tang would ridicule him. Having pursued him for three months without any results, was she now changing tactics, loosening the reins only to grasp them better?

[TN: I also want to gift him an eye-roll as well (◔_◔)]

Unfortunately, she was too unbridled. Her stupidity was truly as incurable as it was in the past.

She even wants to enter Shenyu? Dream on. Shenyu is not a place that rotten fish or shrimp can enter.

Bai Chen went downstairs and Tang Tang, who was still upstairs, pushed open the office doors. The office was really big. It was at least more than 200 square meters. She passed through a small conference room, passed the waiting room, and passed a large screen before finally finding Ming Shaoyan.

Ming Shaoyan was facing away from Tang Tang and getting a book from the bookshelf behind the desk. He turned around when he heard Tang Tang’s voice.

The person was dressed immaculately in a grey high-end custom tailored Armani suit, dress shirt, vest, and tie. There was not even a thread was creased. Every line on the body, from the head down to the toe, emanated both stability and sternness. However, his figure well-proportioned. The custom-tailored clothing perfectly outlined his broad shoulders, narrow waist, and long legs. That, combined with a handsome appearance that did not lose to celebrities, he appeared as if he was a high-end fashion model who was meticulously prepared to be photographed at any time.

Ming Shaoyan glanced at his wristwatch, knitted his brows, and then raised his hand and gestured towards the sofa that was three meters away from the desk. He spoke as if he cherished his words like gold.

“Sit.”

Using her peripheral vision, Tang Tang peeked at the clock hanging on the wall that was showing it was already 5 minutes past 11 o’clock and at the sofa on the left that was closest to the desk. She silently cursed out Bai Chen and then sat down at the sofa indicated by Ming Shaoyan – the sofa on the right that was not as close to the desk.
