Chapter 12: Don't Open Your Mouth

Ling Huan's white and slender fingertips lightly touched the wet nose of the curly bunny.

[1] 行云流水(xíng yún liú shuǐ); lit. moving clouds and flowing water (idiom); very natural and flowing style of calligraphy or writing.

[2] 语重心长(yǔ zhòng xīn cháng); meaningful and heartfelt words (idiom)

[3] 粑粑(bā bā). I think he means to ask about his 爸爸(bà ba ); father. 粑粑 and 爸爸 have different tone. I don't think this was a typo. Kids who just learn to talk tend to do that,  just like my niece and nephew  so I will use pinyin if it come up again in later chapter~

And, this 粑粑 is actually from 糖油粑粑(táng yóu bā bā); sweet snack made from glutinous rice, sugar and honey, common in Changsha. Check this pics

[4] 憋(biē); to choke, to stifle, to restrain, to hold back, to hold in (urine), to hold (one's breath). I assume he was going to say 别(bié); do not. For this word I won't use pinyin or all of us might be confused  I think author was trying to be a bit realistic regarding how kids talk? (^～
