Chapter 2.1 - Arrogant

At present, it seemed that acting according to the plot was indeed the best option.

  Furthermore, the matter regarding time rewind was that it would feel fun at the beginning. However, as time went by, even without being locked in the black room, you could still go crazy.

  Yet, wasn’t the interesting thing about life was the fact that it could continue onward or fade away? the fact that it could come to an end sooner or later?

  Being stagnated like this in daily life was too boring., especially for people like her who didn’t have any dreams, For her, being stagnated in time was no different than going to jail. Besides, she couldn’t have a lot of time to enrich herself and did a more meaningful thing.    

  She was a person who had no dream, no goal, and wasn’t interested in anything.

  Moreover,  seeing those two ’soon-to-die’ faces when she woke up every day was seriously a mood destroyer.

  The hypocrite friends asked her why she was in a daze, Chacha shrugged and said: ”Nothing I was just thinking about Ning An and it really makes me very unhappy. Later, after school is over, let’s stop  and teach her a lesson.”

  This plot was written in the book and she followed it closely.

  The male and the female lead weren’t on a good term with each other. Chen Chacha dedicatedly extorted the female lead. After resisting, the female lead conceded and hands over the money. Because the female lead had no money to eat, her stomach rumbled and the male lead heard that. 

  The tsundere male lead laughed at her. Yet afterwards, he invited her to a meal.

  The relationship between the male and the female warmed up and Chen Cha’s act of seeking death help the story advance.
   
  The Yellow eyeshadowed girl revealed a satisfied smile and said, “It’s good. She and I happen to be the student on duty today. I could send others away.” [T/N: other students who were on duty with them, so they’ll be just both of them in class.]

  “En.” Cha Cha nodded and said, “OK, it’s decided then. I’ll go first, see you after school.”

  Chacha went to school and found her classroom. At this time, there was only one person in the classroom. That person whose back towards Chacha was reviewing the lessons.

  Chacha silently took a seat and opened her phone to check the date.

  It’s 2012, on the early February

  Chacha stayed up late to read this novel called “My love ah, love ah, it’s dead” because her online friend told her that the villain with the same name with her was very interesting. Thus, she read it.

  As a result, she didn’t find anything ‘interesting’ from this. Instead, she only thought that the villain’s luck was only inferior to that of the male and female lead.

  Firstly, she was stupid but exist until the end of the story.

  Still, it was only someone like this whose luck defied heaven could reach this kind of achievement

  This novel was influenced by the works from 2012. Things that were popular in 2018 had already begun to take shape in this book.

  For example, touch-screen phones, internet, Weibo, etc.

  However, this world was a semi-modern and semi-impractical. [T/N: things were still in its building process, the foundation is not firm yet]

  In this period of time, a man called Ma baba hadn’t been widely known. And A-X-Baba had not existed yet and made  Ma baba felt regret. [T/N: A-X-baba, Alibaba but the li is censored]

  A person named Wang baba hadn’t be a good motivator and hadn’t come up with a well-known theory of how to earn your first billion yuan. [T/N: Ma Baba, Wang Baba. Ma and Wang as in their name, and Baba refers to father or in this case someone with superior status.]

  However, in this world, there must be someone who was already doing these things. Once the internet swept the world, they would become the father of hundred millions of people.

  She had a lot of information that the people in this era didn’t know.

  Although her family members were never good to her, she was surrounded with hypocrite friends, and she still had to deal with the plot and acted as a villain, but she still could look for a way to survive through these difficult situations for the sake of herself.

  Where’s the fun of just merely following the plot?

  Seizing the opportunity to make money was something that the 90’s generation in the 21st century ought to do.

  Making a large amount of money, no matter how crude her method was, when the time came she could just break her way out with the money. 

  Even if she didn’t have money, then that’s also OK. In the worst case, she would just return back and continued her life as a salted fish. [T/N: salted fish – a metaphor for those who doesn’t work, barely move, and doesn’t have any dream.]

  If a person didn’t have any worries, one wouldn’t feel the need to be afraid of anything.

  After pondering about it, Chacha decided to sort out all the information she knew one by one.

  It’s 2012 and she was in the third year of senior high school.

  So, she needed to take the college entrance examination once again………

  And it would surely be a nightmare for her.

  She’d think about it another time. First, she needed to think of a way to make money.

  Chen Chacha’s half brother liked to frame her the most.

  Her father hated Chen Chacha.

  After she became an adult, her allowance was reduced.

  Later on, he basically cut off Chen Chacha’s living expenses. She couldn’t bear with it since she used to live extravagantly. Later on, she was deceived by another down to the wrong path. She supported that person and that person effortlessly got a large amount of money to squander. Basically, she was thoroughly destroyed by that person.

  Chacha didn’t want to be like that. She was a person who liked to spend her days with ease and led a happy life. She didn’t want to just exist, she wanted to be alive.

  Since her biological parents were crazy rich, she could just go and rely on them.

  However, at present, she needed to go according to the plot. She wasn’t worried, sooner or later she would meet them. Then after meeting them she would squeeze out some money and spend her present life nicely.

  She lived a miserable life as a daughter because she was swapped. However, although her life was miserable because she was swapped, she wouldn’t give up and would try her best to strive for the better.

  No matter how you look at it, the latter choice was more well-received. [T/N: the latter refers to the “new” Chen Chacha that wants to make a difference in her life.]

  After school, Chacha followed the classroom’s number to find the female lead’s classroom.

  Although there was a lot of people, once they saw her, they instinctively stepped aside to give her space to walk through.

 Chen Chacha was stupid. However, she was the male lead’s white moonlight. Her look was very outstanding and otherworldly beautiful. She was tall and had nice curves. The clothes she wore were all from famous brands. In normal times, she always put on a cold and arrogant expression which made her seem even more aloft. 

  She stood like a sore thumb in this group of high-schoolers who were devastated by the school life, had haggard complexion, and had low-spirit.

  They didn’t seem like people from the same world.

  Today she didn’t lift up her exquisite chin.   

  Her eyes were slightly drooping and her gaze was glued to the ground. Her face didn’t show any special expression. Compared to the usual, she looked more like a quiet introvert.  

  Although most of the girls harboured slight jealousy and hated her, they also couldn’t help looking at her for a few more times.  

  The boys usually were hindered by her haughtiness which could stab their self-esteem. But, today the gazes that usually avoided her, openly looked at her face and they couldn’t help but indulge in it.    

  When Jiao Yushi walked out of the back door, he happened to see Chen Chacha coming over.

  Jiao Yushi liked her, but he didn’t tell anyone.

  This like of him was more like an admiration towards her face. It wasn’t enough for him to make a move. Let alone, reaching the level of confession.

  Jiao Yu stared at her for a few seconds and was about to look away when he noticed that today Chen Chacha unexpectedly didn’t see him?

  Chen Chacha should have noticed him from an earlier time that he paid more attention to her than others.

  She was very arrogant because she knew that Jiao Yushi liked her. As a result,  She deliberately became even more arrogant in front of him and yet, still subtly hung on him. So that he would have to maintain that kind of love. 

  It was a very amusing attitude.

  Yet, it was also very low and stupid, making people burst into laughter.

  Jiao Yushi unconsciously stopped his step. He wanted to see to what extent would Chen Chacha ignored him

  Anywhere Chen Chacha goes, everyone would make a way for her.

  She walked towards him, yet he didn’t get out of her way. Chen Chacha’s figure slightly paused. The eyeball under the slightly drooping eyes shifted slightly and looked at his feet.

  As if she was just looking at an obstacle, she didn’t look up. She just moved two steps to the side and walked past him.

  Jiao Yushi’s expression was somewhat subtle.

  Previously, her arrogance came from the fact that her family was rich and the beauty she was born with. She had fully experience being the center of attention, thus why she was arrogant. She probably also thought that as long as she wanted, there is nothing in the world that she could not get.

  It’s a kind of shallow insight, an arrogance that came from an exaggerated opinion of one’s ability.

  Today, her arrogance was simply in its purest form.

  Everything around her did not deserve to enter her sight. As though, if she looks at it more, it would just be a waste of her time.

  Jiao Yushi originally wanted to leave and yet he stopped and stood at the back door, leaning on the wall beside the door.

  Chacha came into the classroom from the class’ back door. There’s hardly anyone left in the classroom, only a few unremarkable average students remained. There wasn’t any sight of the male lead’s figure.

  “You don’t need to sweep the floor.” Said the girl with yellow eyeshadow. She waved her hands to them, indicating that insignificant passerbys should just hastily go.

  “but…..”

  “Shut up and get lost! Don’t annoy me.” The girl with the yellow eyeshadow wrinkled her eyebrows

  “Fine.” When several passersby left, they saw Chacha. They were astonished by her beauty and unconsciously slowed down.

  As though if they did so, they could be remembered by Chacha.

  The girl with yellow eyeshadow smiled at Chacha and said, “you’ve come.”

  “En.” Chacha remembered that during Chen Chacha’s high school period, she had two hypocrite friends.

  One particularly loved to use yellow eyeshadow and the other one especially loved to apply nail polish

  Both of them looked down on Chen Chacha very much. They despised Chen Chacha’s arrogance, stupidity, and her ease to be provoked. Even with a slight provocation she would eagerly go and seek trouble with the female lead.

  If a major issue really happened, they would just throw all the blame on Chen Chacha.

  After graduation, Chen Chacha parted ways with them. Many years later, Chen Chacha muddled together with rubbish people whose life was worse than death. While they were still as despicable as before, currying favour with the powerful and spent a happy life.

  Chacha remembered so many things, but she didn’t remember any of their names.

  The sole purpose of the names of the supporting characters who were quickly got rid of was to be forgotten by the readers.

  “Why hasn’t Lu Ruoruo come?” The girl with yellow eyeshadow was a bit agitated.

  Chacha shrugged to express that she didn’t know either.

  It seemed like the name of the girl who loved to apply nail polish was Lu Ruoruo

  “Yao Yiyi, you ask them to go, then what should we do with those several sections that needed to be swept by them?” The adorable girl with delicate facial features stared at Yao Yiyi.

  Chacha attentively looked at the female lead Ning An.

  Ning An looked very delicate and pretty. People would get a kind of favourable impression at first glance.

  Her figure was leaning towards the petite type. Her chest was very standard and flat.

  “What’s the hurry?” Yao Yiyi argued while looking at Chacha.

  Chacha was still staring at Ning An

  Ning An noticed that Chen Chacha was staring at her all the time. Her gaze didn’t harbor the usual contempt and arrogance, but it harbor a kind of unpleasant scrutinizing overtone.

  She was irritated and said, “what are you looking at ?!”

  Chacha pondered for a moment, what would a tomboy do at this time ?

  She recalled a tomboy she had seen once before. Her eyebrows slowly raised up in a frown and her mouth curled up. She raised her chin and cockily looked at her.
