Jake ignored the notifications because his job was far from over. His plan to deal with the enemy in a single strike worked because all the conditions were met. He hit two critical spots, the enemy got too close, and he used dark flames at their full power. Still, it would be difficult to assume that the other bosses would make things easier for him. Still, at least they were frozen on the spot for a moment when they realized what had happened.

Jake had the chance to free himself from the bandages by swinging his sword with all the strength he still had, and that decreased their debuffing effects. Thanks to the surprise, the enemies stepped backward and bombarded Jake with the Poisonous Arrows. It was really annoying how these guys had been designated, it seemed that they built their entire build with the goal of annoying their enemies instead of trying to kill them as fast as possible... that definitely was the worst type of enemy that Jake hated... even though he wished to be that annoying to his enemies.

Jake swung his sword around to block them, but the gravity still was affecting his body, so he failed at blocking some of them, even though he protected his left side with his shield. All of a sudden, some dark flames appeared around the mummies, and they stopped attacking to move away. Jake's plan to scare them worked rather well, so he charged toward them.

Jake chose the nearest enemy and then used a quick sequence of skills. Swarm, Double Strike, Sonic Blows… Each of those skills hit the enemy numerous times and activated lesser Vampirism. Jake recovered the health he lost thanks to the poison arrows and took his chances to kick the head of that mummy with all his might. The beast used the bandages to protect itself, but Jake's attack still pushed the monster backward and hit the other mummy that was about to use its spells again.

The monsters used Poisonous Aura because they would need half a second to recover and because Jake was about to attack them again. Jake felt his muscles and bones hurting when they used that skill. He had no idea how it worked, but the closer he got, the more painful it got. To make matters worse, it was a pain multiplied by two.

Still, Jake didn't retreat and then attacked one of them with his shield and sword. He used his shield to smash the head of the enemy and pierced the enemy's heart with his sword.

Two down, three to go. The nearest enemy began to move away from Jake when he began to move to recover his shield and sword. It seemed like he was planning to use those against that mummy as well. In any case, the mummy sure looked fearful of dying, and Jake didn't imagine how such a thing was possible. In any case, he readied himself to attack, but then his body got heavier again. His health began to decrease faster than before, and he realized that the other two mummies had approached and they were using both hands to strengthen that spell. The third mummy did the same… Jake was too dangerous for them to let him move.

Fortunately, the enemies couldn't use any other spells while they were using that. However, when Jake turned around to attack them, his first step made him feel like he was about to crush his own body against the floor. It would be such an excellent opportunity to level up his Gravity Resistance… unfortunately, he didn't find any item in the shop that granted such skill yet.

If he couldn't move, Jake would attack from a distance. He didn't have to kill those assholes right now to free himself from the gravity magic, after all. Jake used all his might to raise his shield and then threw it toward the enemies, and at the last moment, he enhanced the borders with these dark flames.

The mummies tried to repel it with numerous bandages, but that only worked to put those on fire. The shield was blocked by their arms instead, but they lost those, and Jake couldn't have asked for a better result since they used their arms to control gravity magic. The gravity spell was undone, and Jake charged toward one of the enemies and swung his sword with all his might.

"Wait! Wait!" The mummy shouted.

Jake frowned for a moment since he didn't expect to see the boss claiming for mercy. Still, he didn't stop his attack. Once again, he swung his sword diagonally and split the head and the left side of the torso of the creature. He didn't know if those creatures had such a low defense of his combo with dark flames was that powerful… Nevertheless, Jake got satisfied with the result.

In the brief time Jake took to recover, he saw the enemies running away. That was quite funny, if anything… Jake decided to chase them, but the broken bones in his legs prevented him from using his full speed. Jake clicked his tongue and then grabbed some potions. The downside of focusing on single and powerful attacks was that they didn't combo well with Lesser Vampirism. Nevertheless, the bosses were pretty far away from the last room of the dungeon, so Jake was confident that he would catch up with them before they could try anything.

Along the way, Jake healed a bit, and his speed increased, but also along the way, he got attacked by numerous Poisonous Arrows. He had no idea how the enemies could attack him when they couldn't see him, but he used his shield to protect his back while he tried to block most of the frontal attacks with his sword.
