Chapter 16 – Establishing an Empire (3)

It had turned out that a number of the alliance’s coagulation realm experts had actually been working with Baiyu City’s army all along. In one fell swoop, they descended all, beheading dozens of shocked coagulation realm experts from the alliance.

In the Autumn of the 32nd year, after conquering numerous major cities, Baiyu defeated the remaining forces of resistance and unified the entire feathered race.

The 97 major cities in the feathered race had all surrendered to Baiyu City. They accepted Feng Yu as their king. 

In the Spring of the 33rd year, Baiyu City, which had been recuperating for several months, sent 50,000 troops to repel the yao race who had been plundering their resources in the south. The army then occupied several mining veins on the border, solidifying the feather race’s control.

The feathered race entered a period of stable development. The major cities were no longer independent. They were all under Baiyu City. 

In Autumn, King Feng Yu renamed Baiyu City to the Capital of Yu, declaring it the capital. He had established the first dynasty in the Yuan World, the Yu dynasty! 

At the temple of Baiyu Mountain, the king of the feathered race, Feng Yu, the tribe leaders, the high priest, and the people of the capital began to worship the Feather God. They announced the establishment of their dynasty to all. They were letting the Feather God witness the establishment of the Yu dynasty! 

The moment the dynasty was established, the heavenly brain stirred in the void. A thumb-thick, one-foot strand of merit appeared in the Heavenly Dao Dimension and descended on the Yu dynasty founding ceremony. 

The merit hovered in the sky for a moment and then split into two before rushing down. One of them had nine layers of merit while the other had one. Nine layers of merit gushed into Fang Yu’s forehead, transforming into inner energy.

The other layer of merit divided itself into dozens of parts. It was absorbed by the heroes and generals who made great contributions to the unification of the feathered race.

The Capital of the Yu dynasty became the core of the feathered race. It was a place of prosperity and faith.

With the establishment of the Yu dynasty in the south, the strength of the feathered race had finally been unified. Their burst in strength shocked all the other races.

In summer 38, after five years, the cultivation of the Yu dynasty flourished. Coagulation realm experts constantly emerged.

As the emperor of the Yu dynasty, Feng Yu could obtain an endless amount of cultivation resources. Feng Yu had advanced, stepping into the tenth stage of the coagulation realm. He was on the threshold of breaking through!

Then, in order to expand the feathered race, the ambitious Emperor Feng Yu summoned 53 vassals and an army of 800,000 troops. The force was divided into four armies and declared war on the surrounding races: the Yi, the Yao, the Xing, and the Jia.

The four races lacked unification and were scattered, each of their cities independent. A single city simply couldn’t compare to the might of the Yu dynasty.

The Yu army steamrolled the cities, plundering, destroying, and conquering cities. They relegated the people of the foreign race as slaves.

In just a half month, the four armies conquered numerous territories and cities, expanding the Yu dynasty several times over.  It seemed like the four races would be annihilated completely. It was akin to genocide. 

Under such a deadly crisis, the remaining cities of the four races grouped up under the direction of their leaders. They were going to integrate their armies to jointly resist the tyrannical invasion of the Yu dynasty.

Although the feathered race was a powerhouse, containing numerous experts, it was still only one race. It was up against four races.

When the four races gathered and jointly resisted them with their remaining strength, the Yu dynasty’s army began to falter in their advance, their pace of conquering drastically slowed down.

Over time, the strength of the four races actually increased, and they began to take back their land. They gradually pushed back the Yu dynasty’s army.

When the two armies were at war, coagulation realm warriors began appearing in the four race’s armies. Many hidden experts had emerged.

In a yao city that had been conquered by the feathered race, a man dressed in a royal blue robe embroidered with gold put down the intelligence report. He was in a lavish mansion. “The experts of the other races have appeared. It looks like they can’t just stand by and watch anymore.”

Several feather generals, dressed in black armor, stood up. “Your majesty, we wish to lead the army to eradicate the enemy.”

“No, we shall let our army recuperate. I hereby order the remaining three armies to retreat to the nearest city and fortify. Currently, it is best if we don’t instigate a battle. Spread this decree as soon as possible.” 

Although the generals were puzzled, they immediately responded, “Yes, your majesty!” and carried out the order.

The might of the feathered race was beyond any of the expectations of the other races. Although the unification of the feathered race was surprising, the other races didn’t believe it would affect them to this extent.

None could have fathomed that in just a few years the Yu dynasty would be able to take on four races at the same time. They were even winning!

After thousands of years, the might of the races in the southern continent were approximately equal. The weaker races were either swallowed by the wilderness or brought to extinction by the other races. Currently, it was common knowledge that one race couldn’t completely crush another race.

However, the Emperor of the Yu dynasty showcased the domineering strength of the feathered race, startling all the other races. They were afraid.

They were afraid that the feathered race wouldn’t be content with obliterating the Yi, Yao, Xing, and Jia races. The feathered race would then invade other races, seizing territory and dominating the southern continent. 

With the strength displayed by the feathered race, how could the other races resist? It was because of this that they secretly sent out their own coagulation realm experts to support the four tribes. Their primary goal was to halt the expansion of the feathered race.

Of course, it would be best if the feathered race were to be severely damaged because of the war. Their development would be inhibited, and their overall strength would decline. 

The other races’ coagulation realm experts came in droves.

Emperor Yu was clear on the strengths and weaknesses of the feathered race. His initial goal was to seize the territory of all four races in one fell swoop. The other races would be too late to react, and the feathered race would obtain the most benefits.

If he succeeded in eliminating the four races before the other races realized, the other races would lack a reason to secretly interfere. In addition, their differences were too large for them to group together and launch an all-out assault on the feathered race for a couple of already extinct races. In the end, they would have to regretfully watch the Yu dynasty collect its spoils of war.

When that happened, the Yu dynasty would continuously strengthen itself, its territory the size of five races. The end goal was to unify the entire southern continent!

However, he had underestimated the strength of the four races. The four races were able to scrape together a resistance and buy enough time for the other races to intervene. The other races had come. It was time for a change in plans.
