Way of Heaven

In the summer of the 38th year, the Yu dynasty was forced to treat from its conquered territory, due to the pressure from the other races. The conditions for retreating were that the four races must give them ten cities and resources for ten coagulation realm experts. 

At the same time, the Yu dynasty promised to never invade the territory of the four races. If they broke their promise, all the races who bore witness to their promise would attack the Yu dynasty at once.

This was the result of the four races’ efforts to negotiate with the Yu dynasty. They had managed to reduce the initial conditions.

The four armies of the Yu dynasty began to withdraw, returning with an abundance of plundered resources. News of this spread through the Yuan World rapidly. Whether it be the humans, the three-eyed race in the east, or the northern giants 5,000 kilometers away, they had all heard of what happened.

The Yu dynasty, alone, fought four races at once. The Yu dynasty had four armies that invaded the four races, and in an instant managed to completely suppress the four races, shocking all the races.

When the feathered race wasn’t unified, its strength was only slightly above the yao and yi race. They were in constant competition, balanced. Before now, there had been no race that could completely suppress one race, let alone four.

After this battle, the various races in the Yuan World realized the sheer power of having a unified race, a dynasty. They were shocked by the power of a dynasty!

Emperor Yu had unparalleled authority. He could mobilize his entire race to gather cultivation resources and raise more warriors. The life and death of his people were in the palm of his hands. There were many creatures that yearned to have such power.

During the centuries of city-like societies and expansion, there had been many opportunists who wished to unify other cities. However, most ended up failing as the other city-states resisted, not wanting to change the status quo. 

But with the emergence of the Yu dynasty’s stunning success, many people were inspired to persist in the goal of unification; they knew the benefits of such a system. Suddenly, key figures in almost all the races appeared, advocating for unification. They wished to become Emperor. They wanted to start a war for unification.

Between the years 38 and 50, monarchs in all the races led their armies to war. They conquered cities and countless tribes. Unification was approaching.

In twelve years, dynasties began to appear in the Yuan World one after another: the Cang dynasty of the human race, the God Eye dynasty of the three-eyed race, the Abyss Kingdom of the abyssal race, the Longbo Kingdom of the giant race, the Nuhai dynasty of the sea races…

With the transformation to dynasties, the world’s structure began to stabilize. Civilization was advancing. The Yuan World’s growth rate began to accelerate, and the world’s crystal sphere’s efficiency in absorbing void essence increased. The lake in the Heavenly Dao Dimension began filling up. The Heavenly Dao grew stronger. The flames of civilization fueled the Yuan World. The Yuan World was gradually becoming an Early Multiverse. 

These changes naturally caught the attention of Mu Yuan. Mu Yuan, who was still guiding a world tree avatar to find other worlds, turned his gaze over to his world, his gaze piercing through the void.

In the Heavenly Dao Dimension, Mu Yuan warped his body, hovering above the Origin Lake. Thick chains of laws blanketed the dimension. 

“What is the Way of Heaven? The Way of Heaven eternally controls the laws of all. It gives birth to all life. It exists in life. It’s everywhere.”

“The establishment of the dynasties in the Yuan World promoted the growth of civilization, and the energy was fed back into the Yuan World. The Yuan World’s laws are more powerful, more stable, closer to perfection. I can feel myself getting stronger.”

“The living beings in the Yuan World have given me a pleasant surprise.”

Mu Yuan felt his authority enhancing, the power he could wield much stronger than before. He was treading the Way of Heaven. The Yuan World was one step closer to becoming an Early Multiverse. 

“Cultivation is a key part of civilization. It seems like it would be best if I accelerate the development of cultivation in my world. The stronger the cultivation in the world, the more benefits my world will receive. If the cultivation in the Yuan World rises by several tiers, the enhancement to the world, brightened by the development of civilization, will surely allow my world to advance to an Early Multiverse!”

“Let’s see who’s the strongest living being in the Yuan World… the tenth stage of the coagulation realm…. Emperor Feng Yu… this will be interesting.”

Mu Yuan cast his gaze to a certain place in the Yuan World. The surface of the Origin Lake began to tremble, shining brightly. A picture formed on the lake.

The picture was inside a magnificent palace filled with gleaming lights. Beautiful palace maids waited at the side, and in the center of the picture was a middle-aged feathered man with pure white wings on his back. He was wearing the imperial robe. Each one of his gestures radiated an aura of majesty. 

He was the creator of the Yuan Dynasty, the number being under the heavens, Emperor Feng Yu.

It had been dozens of years since Feng Yu reached the tenth stage of the coagulation realm. His strength was already reaching the limit of the coagulation realm. 

However, Feng Yu still hadn’t stepped into the next realm because of a difficult problem, a problem that haunted every coagulation realm warrior in the Yuan World.

Feng Yu and the others would have long ago entered a new realm of cultivation if it wasn’t for a restriction set in place by the Mu Yuan. They naturally were unable to break through such a restriction.

During the descent of spirit qi, Mu Yuan established a law that all living beings in the Yuan World would have to remain within the bounds of mortals.

The reason he established such a law was because he wanted to tentatively test to see if this approach of cultivation was the right approach for his world. If this approach of cultivation ended up hurting the Yuan World, then Mu Yuan would be able to easily clean up all the mortal cultivators. Then, he would guide the living beings of the Yuan World down another road of cultivation. 

If this approach of cultivation ended up being beneficial for the Yuan World, then Mu Yuan would naturally remove the law, allowing cultivation to flourish in the Yuan World.

Mu Yuan was quite satisfied with the results. “It’s time to remove the law.”

Old blood oozed out of the pores of his body, bathing him in blood. He was like a demon.

Webbed cracks began appearing on Feng Yu’s skin like the breaking of porcelain. Dead skin fell off from his body, revealing a new layer of glistening skin.

After an unknown period of time, Feng Yu finished his transformation. His physical body had undergone a transformation, his organs pumping life, his bones thicker. 

Feng Yu opened his eyes. A gleam of light flashed through his eyes. His body was filled with vibrant energy, booming. He smiled.

“So this is the new realm… how powerful. My lifespan has increased to 200 years.”
