8 in the morning on a weekend.

Lin Baizhou sat on the sofa in Jiang Yunshu’s office, irritated. He ruffled his hair, sighed then growled, “AAAHHHH!!!! I’m really going fucking crazyyy!”

“Dr. Lin,” Jiang Yunshu circled the key words in the question and quickly filled in ‘C’ on the answer sheet, “the invigilator should keep quiet.”

“Hoho.” Lin Baizhou was in a bad mood and said vexedly, “My teacher wrote this set of exam questions. If you’ve memorised the previous year’s exam questions, just give up now. Don’t bother wasting my time!”

Jiang Yunshu said indifferently, “Hush, Dr. Lin.”

“Tsk.” Lin Baizhou was shrouded by an air of displeasure. “Cheat and you’re dead.”

Jiang Yunshu found his threat amusing. Lin Baizhou had confiscated all the electronic devices. There was nothing on the table other than a set of papers and pens. Even the internet cable in the office was unplugged. How could he cheat?

Fuck. Lin Baizhou was expressionless on the surface, but he was actually going nuts inside. He might’ve lost his mind as well; rebirth, souls—how could such a thing exist? Fuck! He actually wasted a good weekend to accompany a lunatic— The more Lin Baizhou thought about it, the more he felt he was an idiot. The universe is made up of matter AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!——Lin Baizhou, have you studied for 23 years for nothing

He was about to burst out, but when he saw Jiang Yunshu’s serious and focused expression, he sat down aggrievedly, clamouring in the process.

Jiang Yunshu couldn’t control the edge of his lips from twitching. This world’s Lin Baizhou and his world’s Lin Baizhou had not one thing in common, yet they were equally interesting.

After 120 minutes, the alarm clock went off. Lin Baizhou rudely pulled Jiang Yunshu’s paper, too anxious to mark his exam paper. He then took out a red pen.

Almost everything was correct.

A thin layer of perspiration formed on Lin Baizhou’s back. There were quite a few problems he wasn’t certain he could mark. After all, their majors were different.

“Hm?” Jiang Yunshu came over, wanting to read it. “Which problem is wrong?”

“Fuck.” Lin Baizhou grabbed the exam paper and took a few steps back. The gaze he directed at Jiang Yunshu was laced with horror. “Have you lost your memory and completely forgot all about these before or you forgot just a part of it?”

Lin Baizhou still couldn’t believe him. Jiang Yunshu felt resigned. “I told you, I’m not Jiang Yunsu. I have never lost my memory.”

“Fuck.” Lin Baizhou mumbled.

After more than ten seconds of silence, Lin Baizhou repeated, “Fuck.”

Characters in TV series who become smart after losing their memory and suddenly acquire other technical skills or something are all bogus and unreal.

Amnesia was tantamount to the brain being reformatted and people with complete amnesia were no different from a newborn baby.

Last night, he went to ask Jiang Yunsu’s attending doctor, and of course, he gained nothing. Not disclosing the patient’s information was something every doctor must do.

But as it happened, a nurse talked about a strange occurrence. She said, “Patients who have just lost their memory will generally be in a very confused state and will keep asking the same questions. But I clearly remember that the expression of that patient, Jiang Yunsu, was calm. He even politely borrowed the telephone of the nurse station from me. But the phone numbers he pressed were all weird. The numbers he dialled started with 1, which was really baffling.”

“Fuck.” Lin Baizhou ‘s mind was currently in a state of perplexity. He rambled about incoherently and spoke contradictorily, “T-This isn’t unusual. Maybe you were secretly studying medicine before you lost your memory and then you made up with classes this month. Yes, there’s also that possibility…” But he knew very well that it was impossible to gain such comprehensive knowledge in just one month.

Jiang Yunshu also knew that Lin Baizhou would not be able to accept it immediately.  He himself took three days to accept his current reality. He said empathetically, “It doesn’t matter, I believe in your ability to accept things. If you still want to verify, we can continue.”

“Bbbzzzzzzbbzzzzz~~~“

Bai Tang sat kneeling on the sofa, his nose red. All of his attention was on the little German Shepherd sitting on top of the sweeping robot, moving from one end to the other.

This morning, he was dressed very thickly; an undergarment, two woollen sweaters and a large cotton-padded jacket on the outside with fluffy trousers and socks underneath. All of this was put on after the alpha locked his gaze on him. The large padded jacket was wide and long and directly covered his knees. He was completely bundled up when he knelt on the sofa with neither his hands nor his feet exposed. From a distance, he resembled an upright white dumpling.

Heitang stuck out its tongue, its bright ink-black eyes piercing. The sweeping robot vibrated non-stop and even its big drooping ears waggled with the vibration.

The sweeper reached the corner of the wall, detected an obstacle in front of it, stopped moving forward then turned around. Heitang, a casualty of this scan, was hit by the inertia and his body tilted. He rolled backwards and fell to the ground with all his four limbs pointing towards the sky, revealing his chubby belly. Little jio twitched in confusion.

“Hahahaha Heitang, you’re an idiot huff…” Bai Tang was amused. He trotted over to pick up Heitang and rubbed his face against the puppy’s warm belly. His throat was hoarse and his nose was clogged. He could only breathe with his mouth half-open.

As soon as his feet healed, he pleaded to Jiang Yunsu to let him do the housework again. But since the new house was equipped with a dishwasher and a sweeping robot, so the amount of chores left to do were much less. Thanks to Heitang’s company, he didn’t feel dull and bored.

“Heitang!” Bai Tang turned around and ran to the garden, his soft hair upturned, and his sickly brows were finally stained with a bit of frustration. “Keep up!”

The winter in the south was all clammy and damp, and its cold air could seep into the bones. In addition, the recent weather turned bad, so the temperature had dropped by a degree. It was only past 4 in the afternoon, but the sky was already gloomy.

As soon as Bai Tang opened the door, a burst of cold wind ruffled his hair and his nose felt even more runny. He breathed in with difficulty, and let out a cloud of air when he exhaled. He thwacked off the water droplets and hung the freshly washed clothes on the drying pole one by one. The cold, wet clothes quickly froze his already not-so-warm hands.

Hence, when Jiang Yunshu entered the door, the picture he saw was: Bai Tang pale face and rosy red lips. The thin omega had already sneezed five times in a row; his teeth were chattering as he rubbed his shivering hands.

“Bai Tang,” Jiang Yunshu strode over and said solemnly, “Do you want to have a fever?”

Bai Tang was frightened, and subconsciously took a step back. The clothes plopped to the ground. Trembling, he said in a hoarse voice, “N-No… I’m sorry, sir.”

Jiang Yunshu bent over to pick up the clothes and sighed. “Sorry if my tone sounded heavy, but the first thing you need to do now is to take care of your body. Didn’t I tell you yesterday not to do the housework first? Yet you’re running out to catch a cold.”

The imposing alpha stood in front of him, his towering figure seemed to block the gust  of wind. Bai Tang lowered his head, not daring to look into Jiang Yunsu’s eyes, and whispered, “I’m sorry, sir… I just saw that the clothes were already washed…”

Jiang Yunshu’s garrulous nagging was drowned out by his small rebuttal. He suddenly realised that this seemed to be the first time Bai Tang had said anything other than he was sorry and that he’d be obedient, even though it wasn’t an excuse at all.

Realising what he said, Bai Tang also panicked and admitted  his mistake, “I’m sorry, sir! I-It was my fault, I didn’t listen to Sir…. I…”

“It’s okay, you did a great job,” Jiang Yunshu seemed to be proud as if Heitang had just picked up the ball. “I’ll hang the clothes myself. Head in first and drink a cup of hot water. It’ll warm you up.”

“But…” Bai Tang wore an anxious expression, his feet were pinned to the ground . How could he let Jiang Yunsu dry his clothes?!

“Hurry up.” Jiang Yunshu said in a flat, expressionless voice. “I’ll get angry.”
