Heitang, who was left at home alone, slumped on the ground out of boredom. Suddenly, one of its fluffy ears sprang up. Heitang’s whimpering accompanied its agile legs as he rushed to the entrance.

The door opened a moment later. Heitang grabbed the trousers of the person who entered, scratching as if he was grinding his claws. Jiang Yunshu felt powerless as he accepted that his pants would get ripped.

Fortunately, Bai Tang arrived just in time. The little German Shepherd turned around and rushed to the sweet and loving omega, abandoning the stiff alpha. 

Heitang grew a lot. Its fur became unkempt and it seemed much more chubbier and larger than before. Lately, only one of its ears had begun to rise up. One stood up tremblingly, while the other drooped lifelessly, which made Heitang look extremely comical.

Bai Tang felt better as soon as he saw the dog. He knelt, took Heitang into his arms and caressed it.

Jiang Yunshu took out the result from his study and passed it to Bai Tang. He had no memory of the original owner, so he breezed through the psychological test.

Bai Tang struggled to grasp what he was reading, but he recognized the doctor’s scribbled words “permanent amnesia.” In addition, the Imperial Capital Hospital’s official seal was present. Bai Tang’s jaw, which was clenched tightly the whole time, suddenly relaxed, and the embedded fingernails on his hands began to unclasp. But soon, he sank into a state of bewilderment. Agreed? He  agreed just like that?

Undoubtedly, before Jiang Yunsu had revealed his true nature, the two had long been in a confrontation over the issue of studying. Negotiations, quarrels, and even cold wars had failed to make Jiang Yunsu back down.

Jiang Yunshu also nodded to express that he understood. He picked out a few ingredients out of the bags to place in the kitchen.

Bai Tang didn’t make a sound and just stood in the distance, silently observing the alpha’s movements. From washing the rice to cutting the meat, he was really skilled in using the kitchen utensils, and the way he seasoned the meat when marinating meat was well-practised. He couldn’t help but recall his memories of Jiang Yunsu. Did Jiang Yunsu know how to cook like this before? It seems like… he didn’t know at all? Did he?

His hands were trembling somewhat. Bai Tang used all his strength to keep it steady and said with difficulty, “I…eat this?”

“Mhm.” Jiang Yunshu hummed in agreement. “See if it suits your taste.” 

Bai Tang hesitantly put the meat into his mouth and chewed it. D-Delicious…! It had been three years. He had almost forgotten what meat tasted like.

Jiang Yunshu watched Bai Tang’s expression and finally felt relieved. “Eat a lot, you’re too thin. You need to take good care of yourself.”

After the meal, Jiang Yunshu went back to his study and habitually did his exam papers. Two and a half hours had passed since he finished a set of previous years’ exam questions. He stood up and walked out of the room, rotated his aching neck, and planned to take  a stroll on the second floor’s balcony.

He only walked a few steps when he saw Bai Tang suddenly rushing out of his room with his hands covering his mouth. He bumped into Jiang Yunshu head-on. 

With just a glimpse, Jiang Yunshu noticed Bai Tang’s paleness between his fingers which was completely different from his slight rosy complexion before. His brows instantly wrinkled. “What’s wrong?”

Bai Tang was about to shake his head, but vomit suddenly surged up his throat. He stumbled into the toilet, knelt on the ground and retched.

Jiang Yunshu panicked for a moment, but then he immediately calmed down. He went to the kitchen to pour Bai Tang a glass of water  and walked back to the bathroom, only to find that Bai Tang already had nothing to vomit, but instead had been retching acidic water.

This shouldn’t be the case. Bai Tang had something to eat for dinner. Him vomiting nothing meant that this was not the first time he vomited. He pressed the button for flushing the toilet, handed the water to Bai Tang, and said, “Rinse your mouth.” 

Blood rushed to Bai Tang’s face. Tears seeped out, and a bead of sweat slid down his chin. He took the glass in discomfort, brought it to his lips and rinsed his mouth.

Jiang Yunshu was about to speak, but Bai Tang suddenly turned around, held the toilet, and had another round of retching.

Jiang Yunshu poured another glass of water and asked seriously, “Bai Tang, be honest. How many times have you vomited?”

Bai Tang’s pale face was red from the lack of oxygen. He took a deep breath and whimpered, “9, 9 times…” 

“Acute gastroenteritis.” Jiang Yunshu immediately came to a conclusion. He picked up a coat from the sofa. “Let’s go to the hospital. Rinse your mouth clean, otherwise you’ll be more prone to vomiting.”
