Along with Xetis’s scream, Pei Xia hastily turned around and was pleasantly surprised to find that Lucifer had appeared behind him without him noticing.

The palace doors were pushed open, and Lucifer and Harry stood at the entrance. Seeing Pei Xia turn around, Lucifer offered him a reassuring smile and then lightly patted his shoulder.

“Pei Xia, it’s very dangerous.”

Pei Xia wasn’t entirely sure what Lucifer meant by “dangerous.” At that moment, Prince Harry cried out in concern and rushed toward the red-haired beauty who had fallen to the ground.

“Xetis, are you okay?!”

“Get away!” Xetis impatiently pushed him aside, then swiftly got to his feet, eyeing Lucifer warily and with hostility. “Who are you? A Light Mage?”

Lucifer cast a casual glance at him.

Pei Xia was even more infuriated than Lucifer. Xetis had pushed away Prince Harry, but instead of getting angry, the prince gazed at Xetis with a look of infatuation.

“Insolence! This is Lord Lucifer, the Holy Son of the Church of Light!” Pei Xia stood proudly, holding his sword and using an imposing tone.

Xetis shivered and quickly pulled Prince Harry in front of himself. The prince looked at Lucifer, his face showing a struggle between infatuation and clarity. When he gazed at Xetis, he became entirely entranced.

Pei Xia was absolutely furious. It was clear that Lucifer and Prince Harry had a deep relationship, and yet the prince was acting this way. He couldn’t believe that Lucifer was falling for such a two-timing man!

Such a man was not a suitable match. He was simply not worthy of Lucifer!

Of course, leaving aside worthiness for now, the attitude of the red-haired Xetis and Prince Harry toward Lucifer was making Pei Xia very uncomfortable. What was going on? They looked like a legitimate wife and a cheating husband glaring at a mistress.

Were you two even a match?

Pei Xia snorted and said, “If you two are fine, we’ll take our leave!”

Reluctantly, Prince Harry reached out a hand, saying, “Lucifer.”

However, Lucifer didn’t respond to him. Instead, he continued to grip Pei Xia’s shoulder, looking somewhat serious.

“Pei Xia, do you know who that person is?” Lucifer asked.

Pei Xia shook his head.

Lucifer continued, “He’s a demon.”

“Oh *!” Pei Xia was startled and took a half step back instinctively, bumping into Lucifer’s chest. He quickly realized his reaction and stood upright, gripping his sword in a defensive posture.

No wonder he was wearing fur in the middle of summer. He definitely wasn’t human!

The demon Xetis chuckled and hid behind Prince Harry, saying, “Ridiculous! Why do you label me a demon? Is there such a beautiful demon as me?”

Prince Harry nodded in agreement, “That’s right. Luci, you must be mistaken. Xetis is so beautiful, gentle, and kind. He can’t possibly be a demon.”

Pei Xia commented, “To have bewitched Prince Harry like this, it must be a demon.”

Lucifer, however, remained calm and said, “In that case, all we need is the light to clear up this misunderstanding.”

With that, he raised his hand, and a white holy light appeared. The radiance resembled a self-propelled meteor, heading straight for Sistes.

Xetis’s expression changed, and he hurriedly tried to run to the side. However, he wasn’t fast enough and was quickly struck by the light meteor, letting out a scream.

Prince Harry rushed to him with concern and held him in his arms, saying, “Don’t hurt Xetis! Help! Someone, help!”

Pei Xia couldn’t help but mutter quietly, “Good thing the Holy Son isn’t that deeply in love with you.”

Lucifer raised an eyebrow, asking, “Hmm?”

Pei Xia quickly explained, “Nothing, I mean, Prince Harry and the demon seem to be deeply in love.”

Lucifer nodded gently and remarked, “It appears so, but it’s all superficial.”

With a loud clamor, a group of guards rushed over, forming a protective circle around Prince Harry and Xetis.

“Please be careful, Your Grace!” Pei Xia furrowed his brow, feeling a bit nervous facing so many opponents. He cleared his throat, preparing to call for Beta, Tom, and the others.

Lucifer remained calm and said, “Don’t worry, Pei Xia. This demon in front of us is a succubus. They can seduce others and create deep emotional connections, but their combat abilities are not particularly high. It’s fine to eliminate him.”

Pei Xia discreetly glanced at Lucifer, feeling that the Holy Son seemed somewhat different from before for some reason.

As he stole that glance, Lucifer caught it and subtly turned his head, showing a very evident smile to Pei Xia. He extended his hand, gently patting Pei Xia’s clothing:

“Don’t worry.”

The succubus’s aura, tsk.

A hazy light enveloped Pei Xia, driving away those annoying auras. Then, Lucifer was about to kill Xetis.

He was the most powerful light magician. When the guards looked at Lucifer, they also showed signs of struggling. This made Xetis extremely panicked.

A man even more beautiful than himself, a man who could shake his mental control – he was terrifying!

As Lucifer was about to kill him from a distance, Xetis clung to Prince Harry, pleading for mercy: “My lord, spare me, please! It’s my first time in the mortal world, and I’ve never harmed anyone! I’m innocent!”

Prince Harry, shocked by Xetis’s true identity, looked momentarily dazed. Xetis quickly kissed him, and Harry became resolute: “Lucifel, please spare him! I don’t care that he’s a demon; we truly love each other!”

The ill-fated lovebirds embraced, one begging for a chance to live, the other swearing he’d rather die if Xetis did.

Finally, Prince Harry held a sword to his own throat, threatening Lucifer with his life.

Pei Xia inwardly scorned their attachment to beauty over life and couldn’t believe that someone would fall in love with a demon. Lucifer, bothered by their noise, sighed softly: “Fine, let him go for now.”

Xetis and Prince Harry immediately embraced each other in excitement.

Lucifer shook his head and, with Pei Xia, walked outside.

Pei Xia looked back with concern and asked, “Are we just letting him go like that?”

Lucifer smiled faintly, saying, “Killing him now would also lead to Prince Harry’s death. Don’t worry. As long as he’s not foolish, he won’t dare to harm His Highness at the moment. We’ll find another opportunity to discreetly deal with him.”

“Yes, Your Grace!”

Lucifer was about to turn back and comfort Pei Xia, reassuring him not to be afraid, when he saw Pei Xia looking at him with a concerned and sympathetic expression.

Lucifer: “W-What’s wrong?”

Had he been hurt too? Lucifer found it somewhat strange, yet pleasantly surprised. It was challenging to evoke such sympathy from Pei Xia, even more so than pretending to be the Holy Son.

Pei Xia gazed at him and took a deep breath, comforting him: “Your Grace, they say there are plenty of fish in the sea. Why pine for just one flower? Prince Harry isn’t worth it. You will surely meet someone more exceptional!”

Lucifer: ???

Pei Xia: Sigh!

Today, he could clearly sense that the Holy Son was unhappy when facing Xetis and Prince Harry. However, he smiled tenderly and considerately in front of him. It seemed that he did have some affection for Prince Harry, but he didn’t want it to be revealed.

Pei Xia offered a few words of consolation, looking at him with sincere eyes: “If you’re not in a good mood, go back and rest for now.”

Lucifer: “Okay.”

He narrowed his eyes slowly as if he had discovered something significant.

Pei Xia believed he had feelings for Prince Harry. But why couldn’t he relate it back to himself?

So he furrowed his brow.

Pei Xia noticed this and thought, ‘Oh my! Lord Chosen One is still concerned about Prince Harry. How sad!’

They exchanged melancholy glances, then returned to their respective residences.

In the dead of night, Xetis, draped in a black robe, angrily stormed into the underground chamber of a hidden residence. He gathered his underlings, including the Dark Church cultists led by Patrick, in a secret meeting.

“Everyone, our formidable enemy has appeared in the Church of Light!”

Patrick and five others knelt around him respectfully: “Dark Son, please enlighten us.”

Xetis slapped his thigh in anger: “The Chosen One has returned; kill him for me!”

Patrick exclaimed in shock, “Isn’t that a bit too much? Are you returning to the darkness?”

Xetis furrowed his brow: “Nonsense! I’m talking about the Holy Son of the Light Church!”

“Oh, I see now! Kill him, and you can rest assured, Dark Son. We’ll make sure he’s dead!”

“No time to lose; I want you to act immediately!” Xetis said with a dark expression.

“Yes, Dark Son!”

Leaving the underground chamber, concealed beneath his black robe, Xetis’s beautiful face bore a sinister smile. “Heh heh, the Holy Son of the Light Church, huh? Don’t get cocky. I’ll make these two rival sects tear each other apart!”

In the royal palace, Prince Harry’s sleeping quarters, he looked at the guards in astonishment: “You mean, Lucifer has the Fruit of Life?”

“There’s no mistake. It was overheard by one of our knights during a casual conversation with their entourage.”

Prince Harry, deeply infatuated, slammed his hand on the table, his expression changing constantly.

While Xetis was a succubus and didn’t care much about Lucifer’s identity, he was afraid Xetis might escape. Now, it seemed there was a better opportunity to tighten their grip on Xetis.

Prince Harry sighed, “There’s no other way. Tonight, you and a few others will secretly find a chance to slip in and steal the Fruit of Life for me!”

“Yes, Your Highness!”

On an ordinary day, Lucifer was still surrounded by his followers. In recent days, the number of Light Church followers in Atna City has been rapidly increasing. They were even raising money voluntarily to build a Light Church branch.

Lucifer promised them that he would pass on the information to the main church and request bishops and priests to come and provide support.

In reality, the followers wished for Lucifer to stay here. However, they also understood that Lucifer belonged to all living beings, and a small city like Atna couldn’t hold him.

As Lucifer preached, Pei Xia sat in a corner, carefully observing his surroundings.

Sigh, people with looks, wealth, and talent, excelling in every aspect, were so rare. Especially when compared to Lucifer, Pei Xia couldn’t help but feel that no one could measure up to him.

It’s so challenging; someone like Lucifer makes dating seem impossible!

In the evening, as people slowly dispersed and Lucifer was having dinner, Pei Xia couldn’t resist asking in a low voice: “Your Grace, do you wish to experience love?”

Lucifer’s eyes flickered slightly, and he felt he should maintain some reserve: “Well, not really.”

Pei Xia immediately breathed a sigh of relief: “That’s great.”

Lucifer: “I think I do.”
