The end of the new year is approaching so Zhao Jinxin and Li Shuo went back to New York to celebrate the new year.

Ever since the two got together, the relationship between their fathers had changed from being close to being intimate. Therefore, it was natural to spend the Chinese New Year together.

As soon as Zhao Jinxin returns home, he will lose the ability to take care of himself in an instant. This is also the reason why he is unwilling to stay at home. Since he is the only son of the Lao Zhao family and has a mild blood coagulation disorder, he has been spoiled since he was a child. While he is used to being taken care of, he also resists this kind of excessive attention. So, he usually lives in his own apartment. But this year, he brought Li Shuo back so he can only stay at home as a good son.

With Li Shuo around, Zhao Jinxin basically refused all services in life so as not to make himself look like a waste. But he clings to Li Shuo very much. During the annual vacation when he gives up work and social life, he just needs to enjoy his life quietly. And his life revolved around Li Shuo.

After observing for a few days, Mrs. Zhao, who dotes on her son so much, couldn’t stand it any longer. When she gave Li Shuo a red envelope on New Year’s Eve, she called him aside along the way and said with a hint of some embarrassment: “Xiao Shuo, Can Auntie say a few words to you?”

Li Shuo gently supported her back with his hands and took her to the side in a gentlemanly manner. He avoided the window vents that were opened for ventilation and then smiled and said: “Of course.”

“Jinxin is… You know our family dotes on him so much. But we have a sense of balance on how much we spoil him. We should have courtesy, self-restraint, and humility. So I dare say that he was spoiled but not really spoiled.”

Li Shuo said with a smile: “I understand. You and Uncle have taught your child well. Jinxin is very balanced.” He thought helplessly that what Zhao Jinxin showed in front of most people was indeed as what his parents had said.

“But, after you two are together…” Mrs. Zhao hesitated to speak.

Li Shuo had already guessed what she was going to say so he didn’t rush her. He just smiled gently as he looked at her.

Mrs. Zhao smiled embarrassedly: “Xiao Shuo, our whole family likes you very much and we hope that you and Jinxin will live together for a long time. It is precisely because of this that Auntie wants to remind you that even though he is my son, you really shouldn’t spoil him so much.”

Li Shuo chuckled: “Auntie, does it look like that?”

“I mean…” Mrs. Zhao sighed and said in a low voice, “The more you spoil him, the more…difficult it is to deal with him. This is the same as raising a child. You are very good. With you being such a good match, Auntie really doesn’t want you to have any conflicts because of personality issues.”

“Auntie, don’t worry.” Li Shuo gently put his arms around her shoulders and comforted her: “You said it yourself, Jinxin has a sense of balance and I have a bottom line. If you think that no matter what he says, I will still spoil him, that’s because I wanted the same thing.”

Mrs. Zhao looked at him suspiciously.

Li Shuo blinked at her and shouted for Zhao Jinxin: “Jinxin, come here.”

“Every taste is different.”

“It’s too troublesome. Many sauces can’t be good at all. Such as vinegar. It can’t be delicious when dipped in vinegar.”

“But I really want to try it.” Li Shuo looked at him with a smile.

Zhao Jinxin smiled: “Okay, you wait. It’s rare for my Li Shushu to ask for something. Even if you want to get your hands on the dirt on the moon, I’ll get it for you.” After he finished speaking, he walked to the kitchen and at the same time, told the housekeeper; “I’m going out to buy something for later. Please give me the key.”

Mrs. Zhao was dumbfounded when she saw that Zhao Jinxin really went to the kitchen to find all kinds of sauces. Zhao Jinxin used to become very lazy at home and even asked someone else to pour him a glass of water.

Li Shuo smiled and said, “Auntie, look. Am I right?”

Mrs. Zhao hesitated for a moment, not knowing how to answer.

Li Shuo looked into her eyes and said with a light smile: “Auntie, my point of view is this; as long as I can make the person I love happy, then why not do it? Even if he is being spoiled, it doesn’t matter at all. Anyway, I have a good temper. Jinxin is the same. As long as I speak up and as long as he can do it, he never says ‘no’ to me.”

Mrs. Zhao was stunned and couldn’t help laughing again: “You guys… That’s very good then.”

Li Shuo lowered his head and kissed her gently on the forehead: “You don’t have to worry about us. We are really fine.” He smiled, “Now I have to go to the kitchen to stop him.”

When he got into the kitchen, he saw Zhao Jinxin was shuttling among the busy servants, searching for all kinds of sauces from the cabinet and refrigerator.

Li Shuo hinted with his eyes that the helpers should leave first. He then walked over and encircled his arms around Zhao Jinxin from behind him: “Okay. Don’t bother about it. I’m just joking around with you.”

Zhao Jinxin grinned: “You think I don’t know what you guys are trying to do? You want to show your mother-in-law that you’re particularly favoured, right?”

Li Shuo smiled and said, “Whose mother-in-law?”

“Why is she not your mother-in-law?” Zhao Jinxin turned around and put his arms around Li Shuo’s waist, “You belonged to our Zhao family.”

Li Shuo poked his chest: “You also belonged to our Li family. You still need to call me husband. So who is whose mother-in-law?”

“Don’t worry about these titles.” Zhao Jinxin licked his lips, “Didn’t I cooperate enough just now?”

“Oh. Is it because other people are there that you decided to cooperate with me?”

Zhao Jinxin pinched Li Shuo’s waist: “Li Shushu has learned some bad tricks again. He’s always trying to find fault with his words.”

Li Shuo couldn’t stop laughing.

“What did you guys just talk about? You’ve been whispering for a long time.”

“Ah, Auntie told me not to pamper you too much or you will be spoiled.” Li Shuo pursed his lips and nodded. He suddenly looked serious, “I think what she said makes sense.”

“Where is any sense in that? Is this what my mother said?” Zhao Jinxin hooked Li Shuo’s neck. He then threatened in between his teasing with his words, “Li Shushu must pamper me. I am Li Shushu’s only treasure, am I not? Hmm?”

Li Shuo chuckled: “Yes. You are right.”

“Li Shushu is also my only treasure.” Zhao Jinxin stared at Li Shuo ecstatically with his flirtatious peach blossom eyes, “I hope you can ask more of me because I am willing to give you whatever you want.”

“But I already have you and my parents. So I don’t need anything else.” Li Shuo pressed himself close to his chest, “I really don’t need anything else.”

“Me too. Me too.” Zhao Jinxin hugged him tightly and said softly against his ear, “But I still hope that you will say a hundred words of love to me every day, kiss me countless times, and look at me with the kind of looks that only I can see. I will never get tired of these in my life. If you don’t give me enough of these, I will ask you for it and you shouldn’t feel annoyed.”

Li Shuo smiled dotingly: “Why would I find you annoying? You can say whatever you want.”

“Actually, I have a better way to eat potato chips.” Zhao Jinxin bit Li Shuo’s ear and pressed the weight of his body onto him, “Put them on your body. And then I can…”

The door of the kitchen was suddenly opened. The housekeeper saw what was happening inside and immediately stood upright in embarrassment. She turned around: “Young Master, do you still want the car keys?”

“Yes.” Zhao Jinxin pulled Li Shuo along with him, “We’re going out for a drive.”

Zhao Jinxin turned his head and winked at him.

Li Shuo smiled knowingly of his intention.
