Chapter 9

Qiao Luo enjoyed sleeping in, especially when his Zhou Zhou gege spooned him in his bosom. It was practically impossible for him to get up willingly.

He reached out a hand to caress Fu Zhi Zhou’s face, rubbing the stubble that he hadn’t managed to shave off yet. He said in a conclusive tone, “See, we can sleep together.”

Fu Zhi Zhou was afraid of squeezing Qiao Luo so he pasted himself on the edge of the bed to sleep. He was afraid of dropping out of bed, so he slept as if threading on needles, practically draining himself mentally and physically.

He pushed the other towards the bed, sat up, and spoke with a dark expression, “What else can we do? My waist is about to break.”

Qiao Luo followed as he sat up too. One hand went to rub his still-sleepy eyes, while the one rubbed Fu Zhi Zhou’s waist, “I’ll give you a massage.”

Give what massage this early in the morning?

Fu Zhi Zhou slapped off Qiao Luo’s hand and stood up, warning him, “If you whine and make a fuss about sleeping together tonight, I’ll send you back immediately.”

Qiao Luo looked at Fu Zhi Zhou pitifully as he dragged out his syllables, “Why are you so fierce again? Didn’t you coax me when I was frightened at night?”

Fu Zhi Zhou choked, then hastily said with a dark expression, “Stop dreaming!”

Although the aircon was turned on and there was no summer heat blazing in, Qiao Luo’s small face was rosy as he slept nestled in Fu Zhi Zhou’s arms. His slightly dazed eyes still carried hints of sleep in them, but he could guarantee that he wasn’t dreaming. His Zhou Zhou gege had used an especially warm, an especially gentle tone, to coax him. He felt aggrieved and was about to complain when he was interrupted by Fu Zhi Zhou.

Fu Zhi Zhou took the clothes to the bathroom, which had been ridiculed by Qiao Luo yesterday, to wash up. Just before he closed the door, he threw out a sentence, “Don’t act cute with me. It won’t work.”

Qiao Luo pouted out an “oh” and then rolled back into the blankets. Raising his calves into the air, he started to play games on his phone.

When the bathroom door opened again, Fu Zhi Zhou came out holding a……

Qiao Luo nearly staggered as he jumped out of bed.

Fu Zhi Zhou’s hand held a light gray, cotton, small little cloth……

It was his underwear!

Qiao Luo stuttered, “Zhou Zhou gege, you, you, you, my, my, my, why did you take my, my underwear?”

Fu Zhi Zhou eyed him with a dark face, “You don’t know how to wash it after showering, so by leaving it there, aren’t you waiting for me to wash it?”

Qiao Luo, “……”

Having Fu Zhi Zhou hand wash a piece of cloth that stuck to him intimately was just too extremely embarrassing!

Qiao Luo’s face was about to explode in redness. He buried his head into the pillow and trashed his legs around while yelling, “AHHHHHHH! Why didn’t you ask me to wash it myself!”

Fu Zhi Zhou wiped his hands clean and plucked out the head buried in the pillow, “Stop shouting. Get up for breakfast.”

Qiao Luo’s face was still red and flushed. He wasn’t able to digest his breakfast because every time he glanced at the balcony, he could see the little underwear swaying in the wind and his face would immediately turn into an apple. With every glance, he would continue to blush red. And thus that night, Qiao Luo slipped into the bathroom and washed his underwear before he even bathed.

In the ten days that Qiao Luo spent with Fu Zhi Zhou, he had never forgotten about this incident.

Before, the habit of washing underwear while bathing was something that Mother Qiao spent a full 3 years nagging and begging for Qiao Luo to do, but was ignored by him. After this incident, the habit was well-developed by Fu Zhi Zhou.

This summer vacation was satisfactory and gleeful; Qiao Luo spent 20 days in Europe and then lazed around and played with Fu Zhi Zhou for another 10 days.

Amidst the joy, came sorrow. Senior high had started and on the first day of school, the teacher announced stoically that school would start at 6.45am, where they would have self-study till 7.30am. After that, it was breakfast and the first class would officially start at 8am.

The moment Qiao Luo returned home, he pounced on the bed and wailed, “I have to wake up at 6am, 6AM! This servant can’t do it!”

Mother and Father Qiao ignored him. Once Qiao Luo finished wailing, he went down to eat fruits in depression. They asked, “Do you want us to wake you up or are you setting your own alarm?”

After asking, Mother Qiao muttered again, seemingly answering her own question, “Forget it. I’ll just call you up. If I let you wake up on your own, you’ll definitely be late everyday.”

Qiao Luo felt as if he had nothing to live for, “I don’t want to go to school. School is a little vixen, sucking dry all my happiness and spirit.”

He mumbled to himself, immersed in his own world, “Ah! Oh, my little cabbage! Oh, my ground beans! 6am! Must wake up! I’m so tragic! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!”

Mother Qiao laughed to tears and gave him a box of strawberries, “Quit your dramatic baby act. Sleep early after having fruits. Tomorrow is your official first day of school so you can’t be late.”

On the first day of Qiao Luo’s new chapter in life—Senior high school, the Qiao family was in chaos.

Mother Qiao got up to knock on Qiao Luo’s door. The person inside was deep in sleep, basically unable to get up.

Father Qiao had no choice but to use the spare room key and unlock the door. He entered and forcefully grabbed the person up and dumped him back down with lots of effort. Qiao Luo just casually slid to the carpet next to his bed and almost fell back into his unconscious state.

Mother and Father Qiao were at their last straw and could only soak a towel in ice cold water, forcibly freezing the person awake.

They had spent most of their efforts and strength just to wake him up. The next step of wearing clothes, taking his bag and heading for school was practically done as if he was running for his life.

As they sent Qiao Luo out, Mother and Father Qiao gave each other a look. They finally understood this saying: When it’s time for the children’s senior high school, it was also a test for parents.

However, Father and Mother Qiao only had to experience one day of the ‘test’.

On the way to school, Qiao Luo felt as if he had suffered great injustice. He felt the urgent need to act cute to his Zhou Zhou gege so that he wouldn’t feel so terrible in the morning. Unbothered that it was only 6.30am, he called Fu Zhi Zhou the moment he boarded the train, “Zhou Zhou gege……”

The speed at which Fu Zhi Zhou answered was very fast, but the voice that came in was very fierce, “What trouble did you cause now?”

Qiao Luo was so sleepy that his eyelids were practically sticking to each other. His voice carried over hints of sleepiness and he complained, completely muddle-headed, “I need to attend school so early.”

Fu Zhi Zhou was unsympathetic, “Every one of your classmates has to wake up early too. This was how I spent 3 years of my senior high too. Do you think that you’re the only one going through this?”

Qiao Luo had already felt aggrieved at waking up at such an ungodly hour and then he was scolded by Fu Zhi Zhou, so he felt even more disgruntled. Qiao Luo hugged his phone and tugged on his bag strap as he pouted, “I just can’t get up…… not like I didn’t get up.”

Fu Zhi Zhou leaned on the wall outside his dorm and asked, “You can’t wake up, so why are you calling me?”

He was so sleepy that his brain couldn’t function properly. Qiao Luo pondered and still couldn’t think of any reason for calling Fu Zhi Zhou. He only knew that he must find Fu Zhi Zhou whenever he felt aggrieved. So after mulling over the question for a while, he said, “Then I won’t call you. I’m hanging up.”

Fu Zhi Zhou, “……”

This little rascal was really growing up. He actually dared say that he would hang up on him.

Fu Zhi Zhou had a dark expression and after bearing with it for a while, he surrendered and he reminded him, “If I wake you up, will you get up?”

Qiao Luo was made foolish from tiredness and only asked after a moment passed, “How can you wake me up? You’re not at home.”

Fu Zhi Zhou was raging in frustration from Qiao Luo’s puzzling IQ. He took a deep breath and said on his own accord, “I’ll give you a morning call.”
