Elsa and Mozart made their ways to the stage accompanied by the cheers from the audiences. Although she was still a 12 years old girl and just entered the academy not long ago, Elsa already had a dedicated fans club thanks to her beauty and strength.

As the little princess of Menzel clan, it was normal that Elsa became the idol and the goal of many youths in the academy. On the other hand, as the only underdog remaining, there were a number of people supporting Mozart. They were hoping to see another surprise.

Mozart himself was quite handsome. He might not have Qi Long's friendliness, nor Paul's gentleness, however his cold expression, the faint baleful aura around him, and his political background managed to attract quite a number of girls.

"Will Elsa be fine?" Linda asked worriedly. Elsa was her friend. In addition, she was betting for her win in this fight.

Lisa was also worried. The faint baleful aura around Mozart made her uncomfortable. According to Linda's information book, he was born in an aristocrat family. Both of his parents were famous politicians, James Clinton and Vanessa Hughes. Both were still alive. However, she had a strong feeling that the boy was not as simple as it was shown in Linda's book.

"She will be fine. She had promised to meet me in the final." Erza assured both of her friends. She was confident of Elsa chance to win. However, there was one thing that bothered her. She always had a strange feeling whenever she looked at Mozart.

She sensed a familiarity from him which she could not explain. She was sure that she had never met him before.

Realizing Erza gaze on him, Mozart looked back at Erza with a smile. There was no malice in his eyes, instead they contained profound meanings and gentleness.

Erza was taken back. She unconsciously turned her head around to avoid his gaze which caused Mozart to chuckle in return.

"Woaaahh.. Did he just look and smile at us?" Linda exclaimed.

"Not us, just Erza. Do you know him?" Lisa replied before turning her head to ask Erza. Erza shook her head in reply.

Standing a bit further away from them, Beel was looking at Erza and Mozart short interaction with a profound look. He seemed to be in a deep thought.

"Are you ready?" The judge asked Elsa and Mozart for confirmation. Both students nodded.

"Fight!"

Elsa quickly casted ice barrier to surround her and then started to cast 'Ice Pillar' on Mozart. However, Mozart suddenly vanished from her view. The next thing she knew was the ice barrier behind her was broken and she was forced to cancel her attacking spell. It was unthinkable that her barrier was broken that easily.

Elsa swiftly moved her body to flee while casting freezing magic around her. Since the magic was rather simple, it was not enough to completely stop Mozart attack. Soon, cutting wounds started to appear on Elsa body. She immediately froze those wounds to stop the bleeding while kept running away hoping to create some distance between her and Mozart.

However, the situation was getting worse for Elsa. Finally, after realizing that she would never be able to outpace Mozart, Elsa decided to take a gamble. She stopped running away and began to cast a wide range magic.

Mozart was taken back by the sudden change in her strategy. He was confused on what to do and hesitated for a short while. If Elsa was not Erza friend, Mozart would definitely launched a fatal attack to her neck, chest, or stomach. Unfortunately, she was her best friend.

In the end, he decided to stab her back shoulders with his dual daggers. Elsa cried out in pain but she still managed finish her cast.

'Absolute Zero!'

The stage then turned into a world of ice and Mozart was trapped in the ice. Elsa knew that the ice would not be able to hold Mozart for long so she quickly created stepping stones made from ice and walked upward. Next, she froze her wounds and the nerves around them to stop the pain. Finally, she managed to catch her breath.

Standing high above the ground, Elsa was confident with her chance of winning. Therefore, she just kept looking as the ice around Mozart started to crack. Mozart was finally freed.

"Thanks for the win." Elsa grinned.

"Oh, you think that you have won? What if I say that I could fly?" Mozart reply caused Elsa expression to change.

"Don't bluff."

"You would know whether it is a bluff or not. Wanna bet? If I win, help me to get close with that friend of yours." Mozart sent a voice transmission directly to Elsa mind.

"You mean Erza? Who are you? I won't sell out my friend." Elsa replied back with a voice transmission. She was not surprised with the fact that Mozart was able to send a voice transmission.

Normal thief and warrior would not be able to do that before reaching a knight realm, but obviously Mozart was not normal. Normal thief would not be able to break her barrier in one attack.

"Yes, who else. You don't need to know who I am. You just need to know that I have no bad intention toward any of you. If I had, you would not walk away with just two big wounds on your shoulders."

Elsa looked at Mozart in the eyes and said "Fine. I would help you get close to Erza but whether you succeed or not, that would be up to you."

"Of course." Mozart was smiling.

"Don't be happy too soon. My condition is not that you have to defeat me. Instead, I want you to give up this fight."

"Oh, don't have confidence to beat me?" Mozart teased.

"I just do not want to expose all of my trump cards before fighting her in the final." Elsa snorted. Mozart knew who was she referring to.

"Think you can beat her? How about we make a bet? If you win, I would be your lover. If you lose, you just need to fall for me. I truly do not mind a concubine like you." Mozart laughed.

"Shameless." Elsa gritted her teeth. "Don't waste my time, do you accept my condition or not?"

"Hahaha. I accept. I was planning to fight her in the final to deepen our bond but I decided to rely on a more reliable method." Mozart laughed.

"I admit defeat!" Mozart calmly stated. It was followed by a silence then a big round of applause from the audiences.

Although the audiences were finding it strange that both contestants stopped moving for some time and just keep staring at one another, they assumed that Elsa and Mozart were just thinking about how to proceed with the match. They assumed that Mozart was eventually unable to think of ways to reach Elsa, hence he admitted his defeat.

Some people were disappointed with the result. They believed that Mozart should be the winner. The only reason Elsa managed to get away was because Mozart hesitated and decided not to land a fatal blow. Some said it was an act of gentleness, while some said it was a naivety. Regardless of what they said and thought, the winner was still Elsa.

The loser, Mozart, went down from the stage and walked back to his seat, while Elsa, the winner, went to the infirmary. People found it funny as they pondered who was the real winner.

The championship continued on. The sixth match winner was Harry Well. He would be Elsa opponent in the quarterfinals.

Generally, Archer was not good in an one on one fight. They were great in ambushes, wars, and group fights, but an one on one tournament match was truly not their forte. Therefore, managed to proceed to the quarterfinals was a proof of Harry remarkable talent.

As the only archer remaining, the audiences were looking forward to his fight with Elsa, a long distance fight between a mage and an archer. It would surely bring a different spectacle from the usual fights which consisted of warrior, mages, and thieves.

After beating Lisa in the previous round, Paul was up against another summoner in this round of 16. The contracted creature was surprisingly a dog, a Hell Dog. It was a beast from Gods realm.

Fortunately, the beast was still in its early youth. Otherwise, the summoner might not be able to control it. Since the beast was still too young, similar to the previous round, Paul also managed to pass this round in a convincing style. He was the seventh match winner.

The last fight in this round of 16 was a big match between rank 9 Qing Tian and rank 10 Emily Stone. Qing Tian was a warrior using a broadsword, while Emily was an Earth Mage. Both were in upper level apprentice realm.

Since the beginning, both contestants were equally matched. Earth mage was known for their defence, while two-handed sword warrior was known for their offence. Amanda was finding it hard to block Qing Tian advance, while Qing Tian was finding it hard to move around and fight in his usual overwhelming style.

In the end, it was Qing Tian who managed to become the winner. As a result, he would be the one facing Paul in the quarterfinals.

While everyone was focusing their attentions on the stage, a figure appeared at one of the corners in the arena. She wore a magnificent white colour imperial robe which perfectly matched her silver colour hair.

"Is it truly impossible to avoid one fate?" The woman sighed.
