331 Curse Hero And Sword Hero's Betrayal

After an hour had passed, Brandyn was getting worried and he couldn't help but ask the heroes, especially towards Alister, "Are you sure you won't check up on the Sword Hero and Curse Hero? We haven't heard of their status for far too long."

Brandyn observed that compared to that Sword Hero who was just a wannabe leader of the hero party, Alister was the true leader of the hero party. While the Sword Hero was out, Alister already had friendly relationships with every member of the hero party aside from the Sword Hero and the Curse Hero.

At least, Brandyn knew that the heroes present in the training ground would rather listen to Alister's orders than his. Because of that, he could only inquire to Alister and couldn't directly command the hero party to check up on the Sword Hero and the Curse Hero.

As for why Brandyn himself didn't check up on the Sword Hero and Curse Hero, it was due to the risk not being worth it. Not because he would risk his life, but because he feared risking the lives of Alister and the rest of the hero party.

The biggest reliance of the human race aside from those sealed ancestors were none other than heroes. So the King and the Pope didn't want to risk the possibility of the hero party being assassinated by the demon race before they could grow up.

So aside from training and teaching the heroes about combat, Brandyn also acted as the bodyguard of the heroes.

Who knows if the divergence of the Sword Hero and Curse Hero away from the hero party was a trap set up by the enemy?

If he was careless enough to leave most of the heroes just to save the Sword Hero and Curse Hero. Compared to the lives of two heroes, the lives of eight heroes were far more important.

Knowing Brandyn's dilemma, Alister asked with rhetoric, "Why should we? A perverted emo and an egomaniac isn't worth our attention."

"Even if the lives of those two were in danger, it doesn't concern the rest of us. After all, the Spear Hero can replace the Sword Hero. On the other hand, that Curse Hero is a deranged pervert and our hero party doesn't want such a troublesome time bomb."

When Brandyn and the seven heroes heard Alister's comments about the Sword Hero and the Curse Hero, they were confused as to why he insulted the Curse Hero as a deranged perverted Emo.

But knowing that Alister wouldn't lie, Brandyn asked, "What happened to the two of them? How did you know?"

Although Brandyn was a Master Warrior and he could use his aura sense to check the situation of the two heroes, it would be imposing upon their privacy and even the privacy of the royalties within the palace.

After all, his aura sense worked by having his current location as the center and sensing his surroundings in a 360-degree perception. It would be inevitable to let his aura sense cover the other parts of the palace but doing so would offend the royal family.

In response to Brandyn's question as well as the heroes' curiosity, Alister nonchalantly responded, "I can do whatever I want. If I want to know something, I'll know it."

Afterward, Alister started narrating what happened with the Curse Hero and the Sword Hero, "The Curse Hero…"

After Alister told Brandyn and the seven heroes about the Curse Hero's disgusting deeds and the Sword Hero's pathetic failure, the seven heroes looked down upon those two, especially the Curse Hero whom they abhor.

On the other hand, Brandyn was caught up in a dilemma as he wanted to at least clean up the mess before it became a bigger mess but he also couldn't leave the eight heroes alone, or else their safety would be compromised.

However, the heroes seemed to not care about the Sword Hero and the Curse Hero which troubled Brandyn even more.

But before he could think more about that problem, Alister's question entered his ears, "What if I were to reveal that the Curse Hero has betrayed the human race and is currently cooperating with the Demon King? Furthermore, the Sword Hero begged for his freedom but in return, he became the Curse Hero's accomplice."

"Would those two heroes be sentenced to death for betraying the human race and conspiring with the Demon King?"

When Brandyn heard those questions from Alister, he couldn't help but feel skeptical about Alister's involvement. After all, it was too coincidental that when Alister was indifferent to the Curse Hero and the Sword Hero, Alister then revealed the betrayal of the Curse Hero and the Sword Hero.

However, with the disgusting acts of the Curse Hero as well as the Sword Hero's subservience to the Curse Hero, Brandyn also couldn't help but believe that the Curse Hero might really be conspiring with the Demon King.

Brandyn knew that although the heroes summoned weren't righteous and filled with justice, they shouldn't at least be too evil and abhorrent. After all, the heroes were picked by Fantasia herself so Brandyn believed that the Goddess wouldn't choose evil people as heroes.

The only cases where heroes were evil and betrayed humanity were due to what they experienced afterward, not because they were evil when they first arrived in Fantasia.

And with the interference of the Demon King, there was indeed the possibility of the Curse Hero being led astray by him.

Not completely believing Alister, Brandyn asked, "Are you sure you aren't slandering them? You do know the consequences of your unwarranted suspicions if those two heroes were executed yet were innocent?"

In response to Brandyn's question, Alister retorted, "Well, as they say, to see is to believe. Do you want me to bring all of us there? The Curse Hero and the Sword Hero are currently communicating with the Succubus Demon General Delia."

However, when Alister suggested that, Brandyn shook his head, "No, if what you are saying is true, then it's too risky. I can't defeat the Delia alone so I'll contact the other Master powerhouses in the kingdom."
