In the dining area of the hotel, Rusheng's attention was on Lu Lian as he couldn't help but look at her in between the chat with his sister. Ming Lan was aware of it and just waited for her brother to get jealous.

Ming Rusheng saw that Wen Zac exchanged his dish with Lu Lian after passing her the dish of cut meat pieces. He looked really attentive and caring towards Lu Lian and she even accepted it.

Even he himself never had done this for her as he never got the chance to do so. Looking at the two, anyone would think they were dating for real.

Wen Zac and Lu Lian looked in harmony. When Wen Zac wiped her mouth with a tissue when she had something on her lips, she didn't mind it. They looked happy while certain someone was turning into ashes with all that jealousy.

Ming Lan finally spoke, "Did you not like the food, brother Rusheng?"

He finally got back to his senses and replied, "No it's good."

"If you don't like it, we can order something else or go to some other place. "It's fine."

On Wen Zac and Lu Lian's side, they were not bothered with anything. At Least Lu Lian pretended she was fine.

"For the next date, I am planning for us to go to some other place," Wen Zan informed.

Though Lu Lian was aware of it when Wen Zac explained the conditions of their five dates, she still felt a bit startled, "W-Where?"

"Long drive maybe," he replied calmly. "In alone we might have a good time together and it will help us to know each other well and also we can get closer which is not possible in such crowded places. We don't want to be in the next day's headline right?"

Lu Lian nodded to it but her mind was stuck to a few words he said- 'Alone time, can get closer to each other.'

'What does he mean by that? Is it what I am thinking?' She felt a little anxious and then looked at the man who was calm and looked like he had said nothing wrong.

"Next weekend we can plan it," he said again, looking at her.

Lu Lian nodded but inside she thought, 'isn't it going a bit faster?'

He observed her reaction though she managed her best to hide. "You don't want to? I have told you even before when I asked you for five dates. If you don't want to, we can stop here."

"No, it's fine. I was just thinking where we will go," she handled the situation.

"Fine then," he said casually and resumed eating.

Lu Lian peeked at him and now her doubt was getting clear that Wen Zac was changed. He was different from how he was when they met on the blind dates. What changed him so much or was it like he was already sure about getting married to her?

Soon they finished dinner while talking about here and there.

It was time for Lu Lian to leave and she was talking to Wen Zac while ready to get inside her car.

"I can drop you at home," Wen Zac said.

"It's fine. You should return to your grandma," she replied.

He stared at her for a while and said, "You are really considerate. That's why you didn't let me come and pick you up."

"If you were me, I am sure you would have done the same," she replied with an assuring smile.

"The old lady likes it when I am by her side," Wen Zac said and finally the mention of his grandma brought a smile to his lips.

"Grandparents are always so special even though they can trouble you with a hell of lot of nagging," she replied.

"True."

Both smiled at each other and everything turned calm and easy going.

"I will get going then," Lu Lian was about to sit inside the car but Wen Zac stopped her. "You are forgetting something."

She looked at the purse in her hand as that was the only thing she carried with her. As it was in her hand, she offered him a questioning look to know what he meant.

"We are on a date and you can't just leave like that," he replied.

It puzzled her even more to think what more was left. "Is there anything else?" she asked.

Wen Zac nodded and before she could ask what, he leaned forward and pecked on her cheek as he stayed like that for a few moments.

Lu Lian's eyes were left wide open as she didn't expect this at all. She thought it was just a first date so they will just get to know each other but….

Wen Zac moved back. "For the first date, it should be enough. I hope you felt something at least so on our next date you would be prepared for more.

She looked at him and gulped in shock. 'More?'

Seeing her shocked, he asked, "Only this much has shocked you. I wonder what you will do when we kiss for real."

'Isn't he being so bold suddenly? How can he talk so easily?' she thought.

As if he had read her thoughts, he replied, "You should have known I am bold when I asked you for five dates and said we will do everything to check our compatibility and that includes everything..I mean everything," he said confidently looking into her eyes as if he really meant it.

Lu Lian nodded hesitantly and he spoke again, "You seem to be a little anxious. Let me ease you," saying he moved closer and pecked on Lu Lian's forehead and caressed her head, "I hope you feel better now. I am doing it so you get used to it sooner."

Lu Lian didn't know what to say. If she planned to marry him, she should not mind it. He was not a bad person at all. She believed things will get right and she will stop feeling shocked over such things. In the end, after the marriage, she had to be with him for life.

"I will get going then," she said.

Wen Zac held the car door for her and she sat inside. Saying bye she left.

When these two were talking standing by the car, Ming Rusheng and Ming Lan came out too. Ming Lan saw them and said, "Brother, wait for me here. I forgot my cell phone inside."

Ming Rusheng nodded as his sight was fixed on the two people standing in front of him while Ming Lan went inside.

Ming Rusheng saw the two talking, smiling at each other, and then Wen Zac pecked on Lu Lian's cheek. Ming Rusheng tightened his fists and thought to go to them but he controlled. Alter he was them talking standing even closer where Wen Zac talked and Lu Lian looked flustered. Ming Rusheng was sure it was not any normal talk or a confident person like Lu Lian would never act like this. Then he saw Wen Zac pecking on her forehead and patting her head.

Though Wen Zac was his friend and he trusted him, Lu Lian was his woman, and even this much closeness with any man he would never tolerate.

Before he could even think about going to them, Ming Lan arrived there, "Brother we can leave."

They saw Lu Lian leaving in the car and Wen Zac turned as his sight met with Ming Rusheng.

Ming Rusheng looked at Ming Lan. "You can take a car and go back on your own. I have something to do."

"Suddenly?" she asked.

"Hmm, don't ask much," Ming Rusheng said as he walked towards Wen Zac who looked like he was waiting for his friend to come to him.

Ming Lan could only agree while Ming Rusheng went to Wen Zac. "Can we talk?"

Wen Zac nodded and the two left the place where Wen Zac had parked his car. It was an isolated parking place as not many cars were parked around.
