Lu Mansion, Lu Feng's Room...

Lu Feng put the photograph in his hands back inside the photo frame just as before, hiding it behind his picture. Walked towards his bed, he lay down just like that without even changing his clothes. His legs were hanging to the bed's corner, and his feet were touching to the soft light brown carpet on the floor as he stared at the ceiling. 

Thinking about the event from the party where he collided with Jiang Yuyan, Lu Feng sniffed his sleeves as he commented, "Still allergic to smoke?" 

Closing his eyes, Lu Feng kept lying on a bed, carrying a pleasant smile on his face with the memories from the past.

That day in the past, after making their promises to Jiang Yuyan and taking lots of pictures with the camera, all four went outside of the mansion because Jiang Yuyan wished to eat cotton candy. 

There was a small market nearby, so they went there, but the stall of cotton Candy was closed, and also the streets were empty, with only a few people walking across. Jiang Yuyan got upset, but these three couldn't let that happen.

"Don't be upset. I'll bring it to you anyhow. Stay here." Instructing, Lu Qiang started to walk further on the markets street.

"Wait, I'll come with you." Saying, Jiang Yang looked at Lu Feng, "You take care of her. We will be back soon."

Lu Feng nodded, and the other two went ahead. Lu Feng made Jiang Yuyan sit on the bench under the roadside tree, and suddenly Jiang Yuyan started to cough.

"What happened?" Lu Feng asked with concern.

"Cough-Cough! Cigarette smoke!"

Lu Feng moved his sight around and saw a boy who looked relatively older to him, was smoking while sitting under the tree, a few meters away from them. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt with a black leather jacket on him with ripped pattern jeans, his black hair dyed in two to three different bright colors strikes. 

Lu Feng first offered her water from the bottle she was carrying with her as the temperature on that day was on the higher side. Then he rubbed her back with his palm gently as he was worried to see her red face.

"Are you feeling good?" Lu Feng asked.

"Hmm!" She nodded, but her face was red because of coughing as she could still smell the smoke, and her eyes turned teary too.

Wiping her eyes, Lu Feng patted her head gently, "Wait here, I'll be back in a minute."

"Hmm! Cough-Cough." 

Lu Feng went to the boy and asked, "Can you please smoke somewhere else? My friend is not feeling well because of the smoke" and pointed towards Jiang Yuyan, who was still coughing lightly.

The boy looked at Jiang Yuyan and said arrogantly, "If that little girl has a problem, why don't you take her somewhere else?" and started to smoke again, ignoring Lu Feng.

"We are waiting here for someone, so can you go on the other side?" Lu Feng tried his best to keep himself calm after watching the rude behavior of that boy.

"I won't! What will you do?" The boy said and pushed Lu Feng by hitting hard on his chest." 

Anger evident in his eyes, Lu Feng wanted to hit the boy back, but something stopped him, and he turned his head to look at Jiang Yuyan, who was still coughing a little. 

Lu Feng was concerned about Jiang Yuyan and avoided reacting violently, because, for him, she was a 10-year-old little girl who could get frightened seeing the fight. 

Clenching his fists, Lu Feng said calmly, "Don't be violent. It's okay! We will go somewhere else" and turned to go back to Jiang Yuyan.

Just as Lu Feng turned his back, that boy laughed and said, "Hahaha! What a coward boy! If this girl is so delicate, then why don't you keep her at home, when you can't even protect her?" and started to smoke again, taking a big puff from a cigarette.

Lu Feng stopped in his track, gritted his teeth, and clenched his fist but didn't turn back as his sight was fixed at the girl, who was coughing and looking at him innocently as asking him to come back to her. 

Suppressing his anger, Lu Feng went to her, carrying a smile as if nothing happened.

Upon seeing still no reaction from Lu Feng, that boy became bolder and said, "Don't take her out frequently or something might happen, when someone like me put their hands on her. I wonder how delicious she will taste!" 

The boy licked his lips, holding a cigarette in his finger near to his lips. Taking a big puff, he exhaled the smoke in their direction while smiling viciously.

Hearing it, Lu Feng was exploding with anger and felt like to beat the boy until he died but went to Jiang Yuyan, having calm expressions on his face with a light smile. It was like a calmness before a storm. 

Kneeling in front of Jiang Yuyan, leveling himself to face her, Lu Feng held her hands and looked at her in the eyes. "Do you trust me, Yuyan?" 

She nodded, "Hmm!"

"Will you do what I'll ask you to?"

"Hmm!" 

She just kept nodding innocently, saying yes to his questions without bothering to know what was happening.

"Close your eyes tightly, and don't open it whatever you hear. Got it?" Lu Feng asked as he caressed her knuckles with his thumbs gently. 

As he said, she did, and Lu Feng moved her hands to put them on her ears. 

"Don't move your hands and keep counting numbers until I come back. Okay?" Lu Feng instructed to which she nodded again and Lu Feng went back to the boy.
