Jiang Yang impatiently looked at Lu Qiang. "Now tell me what exactly happened? I am asking this as a doctor, not as her brother."

Lu Qiang kept silent for a while and narrated to him all the things that happened the previous night. As he recalled Jiang Yuyan's reaction, he couldn't help but feel even angrier at himself.

Jiang Yang understood Lu Qiang must be blaming himself, thinking it was all his fault.

"You did well," Jiang Yang assured him.

Lu Qiang didn't expect this reaction from Jiang Yang, although he was cool about letting him go closer to his sister. Instead of feeling angry and confronting him, Jiang Yang was consoling him.

"Trust me, that's not your fault, so stop blaming yourself."

Lu Qiang continued staring at Jiang Yang in disbelief and couldn't utter a single word.

Jiang Yang expected this reaction from him and teased, "You must be feeling overwhelmed after hearing it. Right?"

Lu Qiang didn't know how to answer Jiang Yang. His two lines 'You did well, and it was not your fault' were still ringing in his ears.

Not getting an answer from Lu Qiang, Jiang Yang continued. "You should be as you are sitting with the best brother and a best friend in this world."

Lu Qiang smiled at his words, but that smile didn't last too long. Leaning forward, he sat with his elbows resting on his thighs, his head lowered down, and the sight fixed on the floor, Lu Qiang mumbled.

"I didn't see her from that moment."

"I could guess it when I saw you sleeping outside her room. I am sure you couldn't muster up the courage to go inside."

"Hmm!" Lu Qiang nodded while still looking at the floor.

"Do you like her that much?" Jiang Yang asked.

"I love her." Came the firm reply from the hurt man.

"I see! But before moving ahead, you should know about her past."

"Doesn't matter to me."

"I know, but to understand her better, you should know about it."

Lu Qiang agreed, "Hmm! I will."

Seeing Lu Qiang so silent and lost, Jiang Yang asked, "You must be having so many questions in your mind regarding what happened to her."

Lu Qiang nodded, "But, I am sure, I'll get the answers from her, one day."

"I hope so too."

Both were busy with their thoughts when suddenly Jiang Yang spoke.

"You know? It's been eight years, but still, she couldn't forget anything. You are the first man she allowed to cross the line she drew around herself. Besides father and me, she never had any man in her life, not even as a friend. I don't know why, but you and your presence affects her differently. She is not reluctant towards you."

Lu Qiang listened to everything as he sighed deeply, "I can't see her being hurt and weak like that."

Jiang Yang raised one eyebrow and smirked, "Weak? Hmm! You are mistaken, my friend."

It puzzled Lu Qiang, "What do you mean?"

"Let me tell you, she is very strong and can be the cruelest person if she ever wants to be. Her weaker side is far better than her stronger side. Even I am scared to see that strong side of her."

Every word of Jiang Yang surprised Lu Qiang, leaving him wondering what the meaning of this was. He suddenly felt like the woman he loved; he knew nothing about her.

"I saw that side of her four years back, but only once. I even doubted she had multiple personality disorder, but all that was her hidden anger which exploded after being buried for a long time. I always wished, not to see her like that ever again, and I wish nothing should happen to bring out that side of her."

Lu Qiang continued listening to everything carefully. His brain filled with so many questions, but at the same time, he felt worried about Jiang Yuyan. Still, he didn't ask anything as he wanted to get all the answers from her. He wanted her to trust him and tell him everything.

"I think you should freshen up and I'll go check on her," Jiang Yang suggested.

As Lu Qiang agreed, pointing towards the wardrobe, Jiang Yang offered, "You can use my clothes."

Lu Qiang looked back at him. "I guess I don't need your approval."

Looking at the clothes that Lu Qiang was wearing, Jiang Yang commented. "Yeah! I can see, as someone already approved for it."

Smiling, Lu Qiang went to the wardrobe; just then, Jiang Yang called him.

"Lu Qiang!"

Lu Qiang turned around. "Hmmm?"

"Whatever happens, just be patient and don't give up on her."

"I won't."

Lu Qiang replied in a firm voice and turned towards the wardrobe. Pulling out the clothes from it, he went straight to the bathroom.

Jiang Yang went out of his room to go to his sister's room. Standing outside the door, he knocked on it, but there was no reply. He knocked again, instead of entering directly into her room.

It was his habit to knock just once, then wait for a few moments and enter inside the room, but this time he waited and knocked again.

When there was no reply even after knocking on the door twice, he opened the door and entered, but Jiang Yuyan was nowhere. He heard a sound from the bathroom, so he understood where she was.

Stepping towards the bedside table in the room, Jiang Yang opened the top drawer and took out a medicine strip, a fresh one that missed only two tablets.

Seeing it, he pinched the space between his eyebrows and sighed.

The door of the bathroom opened, and Jiang Yuyan came out wearing a bathrobe with her wet hair tied in a towel. She saw her brother holding a medicine pack in his hands but said nothing.

"Good Morning, Yuyan."

"Morning, brother." Wishing him, she went in front of a dressing table.

Jiang Yang's sight passed across his sister's neck, but he immediately averted it and turned around to put the medicine strip back in the drawer.
