Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband

Jiang Yang looked at his sister and informed, "Soon, you have to shift to Lu Mansion. Start packing your stuff."

"Can't I just stay at university dormitory?" she countered.

"How can that be possible. You know…." 

"Why not? 

Jiang Yang was about to say grandpa Lu won't agree to it, but a voice interrupted him. Jiang Yang looked at his friend, who just agreed with his sister.

"She can stay wherever she feels comfortable," Lu Qiang said while going through his phone, his face devoid of any expressions as if the matter of Jiang Yuyan's stay didn't concern him.

Jiang Yuyan looked at him, surprised. She didn't expect Lu Qiang would say this but understood; he did it because of the previous night's incident.

"But grandpa Lu …...?"Jiang Yang tried to explain, but again he got interrupted.

"I'll handle him" Lu Qiang's reply was firm that left Jiang Yang fall short for the reasons to let his sister stay at Lu Mansion. Grandpa Lu was his biggest weapon, but that wouldn't work now.

Lu Qiang thought Jiang Yuyan didn't want to stay at Lu Mansion because of him, and whatever happened last night must have scared her, so he didn't want to force her to stay in Lu Mansion.

Jiang Yuyan thought he must be blaming himself for her condition, and that's why he is not forcing her to stay at his place. 

She looked at him, who looked different from his usual flirty self. Her heart sank, seeing him like this and wanted to say, 'It's not because of you. It's me, who is at fault,' but couldn't.

Jiang Yang came up with one more reason, "Mom-Dad already agreed for it and canceled her application for university dormitory."

"Don't worry; I'll arrange everything best for her," Lu Qiang again replied in the same way without giving a second thought about it and didn't even look at Jiang Yang to understand what his friend was trying to do.

Jiang Yang felt frustrated but still maintained his calm as he thought, 'What I was trying to do and what exactly happened. This brainless friend of mine is no fun.'

The doorbell rang. Jiang Yuyan got up and went to open the door. Just then, Jiang Yang turned to Lu Qiang.

"Lu Qiang!"

"What?" Lu Qiang still didn't look at Jiang Yang as he already knew what he would say.

"People always say, successful businessmen are the ones with zero EQ. You proved it right, man!"

Understanding the meaning, Lu Qiang looked at Jiang Yang and said with declared, "I can't let her stay at Lu Mansion against her will."

Before Jiang Yang could say anything, Jiang Yuyan came back with a food parcel in her hands. 

"I will arrange it," informing she went to the dining table.

Both got up from the sofa and followed her to the dining table to help her. Jiang Yang went to the kitchen to bring dishes, while Lu Qiang helped Jiang Yuyan to unwrap the food parcel. 

Jiang Yuyan left alone with Lu Qiang, and she felt uncomfortable. 

"I will do that," She said in a low voice while looking at the parcel.

Lu Qiang looked at her puzzled, so she again said, "Your hands will get dirty."

Ignoring her, Lu Qiang continued unwrapping the parcel, and Jiang Yuyan didn't dare to say anything further. 

When Lu Qiang opened the parcel and passed one container to Jiang Yuyan, his sight passed her collar. Being tall, he could see a red patch on the lower side of her neck, which hid behind her top's collar. Averting his sight, Lu Qiang moved a few steps away from Jiang Yuyan and stood at some distance.

Jiang Yuyan didn't fail to notice how and suddenly, he moved away from her although she was busy doing her work. She felt sad knowing why he stepped away from her. He must still be feeling guilty about the previous night. 

She decided to stay away from him, but when he did the same, she felt heartbroken.

Just then, Jiang Yang returned from the kitchen, carrying dishes and bowls in his hands and observed these two. Both didn't look at each other and were busy in unwrapping the containers. Lu Qiang had no expressions on his face while Jiang Yuyan seemed quite sad. 

Jiang Yang sighed and mumbled to himself, "Both are fools."

Jiang Yang knew both liked each other. Lu Qiang already confessed to him that he loved Jiang Yuyan, and about his sister, Jiang Yang knew her better than herself. 

It was not difficult for him to understand what his sister felt about Lu Qiang, but he was sure she would never admit it.

The three sat on the chair. Jiang Yuyan sat beside her brother, and Lu Qiang sat opposite to them. There was a silence in the dining room. Even the chatterbox Jiang Yang didn't know what to say. 

They only talked when someone needed to pass something. Lu Qiang was the most silent person on the table that he didn't even lift his face, not even once. 

Jiang Yuyan also noticed it, as she peeked at him in between.

Lu Qiang didn't eat much. He finished his breakfast soon and got up from his chair to wash his hands. Returning to the dining table, he informed, "I'll take my leave now. I have important work to do in the office".

Jiang Yang looked at his wristwatch, "Don't you think it's quite early?"

"Hmm! I need to prepare for today's important meeting."

Jiang Yang knew it was not true, but still, he didn't stop Lu Qiang, "See you again."

Lu Qiang nodded as he passed his sight across Jiang Yuyan, "Bye!".

Putting on his shoes, Lu Qiang left without looking back.

When he left, Jiang Yuyan felt choked in her throat. She knew Lu Qiang avoided looking at her or talking to her and maintained a distance with her. 

It was her plan initially, but she didn't do anything to stay away from him as he did it for her. Even if everything happened what she wanted, still, she felt like to cry.

She couldn't understand why she felt bad? Did she feel bad about making him feel guilty, and in response, he behaved like this, or was she just feeling bad because he avoided her?
