Your Distance

Chapter 15

That couldn’t even be considered a kiss. It was just a touch of lips.

Bai Changyi looked down at Ting Shuang, voice deep, “That’s it?”

That’s it???

What else did he want?

Ting Shuang’s face turned red. Before he had the time to speak, he heard Bai Changyi say, “At the very least, it should be like this.”

After which, his chin was seized by Bai Changyi, and he parted his lips.

“Mmph–“

The clean taste of aftershave and the smell of the hormones of a mature man instantly invaded Ting Shuang’s breath. Bai Changyi’s kiss was not pure, it was full of dominance, and could even be called rough. In the first place, he didn’t like to be gentle in this aspect.

At first, Ting Shuang struggled for a while, but was soon kissed until he was trembling. He found himself hooking his arm around Bai Changyi’s neck, and letting him take control.

(……)

He was leaning against the other party’s broad chest, moaning softly and panting ceaselessly.

Wait.

Leaning against the other party’s chest?

Leaning against?

Ting Shuang suddenly regained his senses, and turned his head to see the hand of his that had crept up onto Bai Changyi’s shoulder.

He hurriedly withdrew his hand and abruptly took a step back,  unexpectedly bumping into the washroom door with a bang.

“Ting Shuang, what happened?” Song Xin shouted.

“No–” Ting Shuang suddenly realised that his voice sounded weak and hoarse. If anyone heard it, they would think something was up. “Nothing… I just knocked into it.”

After saying that, he looked towards Bai Changyi, and saw himself in the mirror as he turned his head; His eyes were teary, his cheeks red, and his lips were swollen.

His whole face was flushed…

Hell, if he went out now, would Song Xin believe that he merely went to the toilet? There was no way he could say that a bee from the garden flew into the washroom and stung his mouth right?

Ting Shuang rubbed his lips and looked at Bai Changyi.

The Great Professor Bai was well (a) dressed (beast). His tie wasn’t loose, his glasses weren’t crooked, and his western-styled suit wasn’t even crumpled.

""

Ting Shuang suddenly felt off balance. Look at him, and then look at yourself. He doesn’t have a trace of incriminating evidence on him, and he’s going straight for a dinner appointment in proper attire. Yet you have to explain to your classmate how your mouth swelled up after using the washroom.

“How am I supposed to go out like this?” Ting Shuang pointed at his lips and complained to Bai Changyi in a hushed voice, “This is the great state you caused.”

Bai Changyi curved his lips up and said, “Think of a way yourself.”

Ting Shuang said, “I’ve never done something like this before. Never had any secret love affair…”

Bai Changyi glanced at the window, looked down at Ting Shuang, and asked, “And I look like someone who often has secret love affairs, huh?”

“No, no…” As soon as Ting Shuang thought about how Bai Changyi had to climb out the window, he felt a little bit, well, very guilty. He didn’t dare imagine (or witness) the scene, “Well, I’ll go out first, you… Be careful! After all, you have old arms and legs… Cough, don’t fall.”

Bai Changyi felt a little like laughing, “Mm, got it.”

Ting Shuang tugged on Bai Changyi’s tie and asked, “Um… Was it worth it?”

The Great Professor Bai would swallow his pride and climb out a window, all in exchange for a kiss.

Bai Changyi’s lips curled up, “It wasn’t really worth it.”

Ting Shuang couldn’t stop the corner of his lips from tilting up.

He pretended like he was going to turn around and exit the washroom, but at the last moment, he hugged Bai Changyi and sucked on his neck with all his might for several seconds, leaving a striking hickey.

Then he quickly slipped out of the bathroom.

Success.

“Which part do you not understand?”

Ting Shuang, looking as nonchalant as if he was just on a stroll, walked towards Song Xin.

“Oh, I thought about it and understood it by myself.” Song Xin turned to talk to Ting Shuang.

Song Xin didn’t ask about Ting Shuang’s mouth, but Ting Shuang took the initiative to explain, “The moment when I knocked into the door was an extremely tragic one. I knocked my mouth on the door handle, I think it’s swollen.”

“I was wondering why it looks like you ate something spicy.” Song Xin didn’t care about Ting Shuang’s mouth. He picked up a piece of A4 paper and asked, “Hey, where did you get this from? Did you ask the professor to mark your homework? “

Ting Shuang inwardly tensed up, but his expression was calm, “Oh, yeah… I made an appointment with him during Sprechenstunden and cleared up some questions. “

Song Xin was surprised, “This professor’s that good? He marked every single question for you?”

Ting Shuang said, “Maybe it was because there was no one else there when I was answering questions, except for me. So he just… Yep…”

Song Xin said, “Then I’ll make an appointment next time. I didn’t expect him to be quite so nice. I thought he didn’t care about his students’ life or death, and just left everything to his TA.”

Ting Shuang said, “Hehe… He’s quite nice… Maybe I was just lucky…”

The next day, Song Xin planned to make an online appointment to clear up a question, only to find that Prof. Bai’s schedule had been filled up a long time ago. He couldn’t help but think; Ting Shuang’s luck is really good.

Many days later, Song Xin finally made an appointment to see Prof. Bai with much difficulty. He presented his homework respectfully with both hands, but only got a single-line reply from Prof. Bai, “All questions regarding the homework assignments are answered by the TA.”

Song Xin couldn’t help but think again; Ting Shuang’s luck is really motherfucking good…
