Chapter 4

“I’m not a child anymore. Of course I know that I can’t let strangers in at random! Haha, don’t be so worried. Come on, let’s eat while it’s hot!” Fang Qingci remarked and put in a piece of ham in his mouth. He chewed a few times, and his eyes lit up suddenly: “It tastes great! The craftsmanship is good, Ling Xun.”

After hearing this, Ling Xun who was initially depressed because he felt he had been nagging, suddenly felt ecstatic: “If you like it, as long as I am at home in the future, I can make it for you at any time.”

Qingci liked the food he cooked! Ling Xun was almost dizzy with happiness.

It was known that rude and tough soldiers were not welcomed by males. However, how could he imagine that with such a little chance, he might end up becoming the female zerg next to Qingci?

When he thought that even if there was such a slight possibility, he felt that happiness was like fireworks exploding in the dark sky, so gorgeous that he had an urge to shed tears.

After he left the military academy, he devoted all his energy to the army. When he was in the army, he often heard soldiers talk about males, and their words were full of expectation and yearning. However, he himself still didn’t feel anything. Even when he saw the zerg idols among the males, he didn’t feel much. He felt that he would end up being alone till he died of old age. This was nothing unusual, because males were rare and many females ended up being single for life. He had always thought that he would do the same.

But today, at the first sight of Fang Qingci, he suddenly understood why so many stupid females would be willing to give their lives for their males. He disdained them before, thinking that they had lost themselves in this way. But now he understood their thoughts. Love was so unreasonable, so blinding. It made female zergs, rush forward desperately, just like moths drawn to a fire. Even if they lost their freedom and their life, they would still not hesitate.

If it was for the zerg in front of him, he thought, he was also willing.

Seeing the female zerg in front of him go into a daze again, Fang Qingci waved his hand amusedly: “Hey, why are you zoning out again?”

Ling Xun’s eyes were attracted by the white and tender hand in front of him, which was so different from his own. There were no thick calluses caused by handling guns and weapons all the year round. Every inch of skin looked so perfect. He didn’t know what it would be like if these hands touched him one day. Thinking like this, the tips of his ears became red like a layer of blush had been applied on them.

Ling Xun stammered and said, “Is it really, really okay?”

Oh my God, Fang Qingci actually wanted to feed him something to eat. Was he really not dreaming right now?

Fang Qingci looked at Ling Xun strangely: “Your face is so red, are you sick?” He was a bit concerned so he wanted to retract the fork. He planned to touch Ling Xun’s forehead and look at him. Did he have a fever?

Seeing that the fork in front of him was about to leave, Ling Xun hurried to catch up, biting off the omelet, but he was reluctant to eat it immediately, keeping it in his mouth, only feeling extremely sweet.

“Sure, go ahead.” The tone was extremely gentle.

Fang Qingci buried his head and continued to eat. He finished the food and juice on the plate in one go, touched his stomach, and sighed contentedly: “That felt so good.”

He had spent the day busily running around in the Male Zerg Association for a long time, and moved to a new house. He was too excited and spent a lot of energy. Now that he had eaten enough, he felt very sleepy. Fang Qingci leaned on the soft sofa, drowsy, and fell asleep just like that.

Ling Xun couldn’t help being a little surprised when he saw that he was asleep. Did he trust him that much?  However, Qingci, who fell asleep with his eyes closed like this, was really cute, and it made the zerg fall even harder.

Since Qingci slept in front of him with peace of mind, did that mean that he had a very good impression of him? Thinking of this possibility, Ling Xun felt that his heart was beating wildly out of his control. What was this sweet feeling?

In fact, Qingci was not so careless as to fall asleep in front of a relatively unfamiliar zerg who he had only seen twice. It’s just that, he was used to trusting in the safety of his previous country’s army. He was very relaxed in front of Ling Xun who was a soldier, so he went to sleep peacefully. Therefore, this misunderstanding ensued.

To Fang Qingci, there was no concept that his identity had changed. He had accepted that he was a male and he knew that those females who looked like him and had male appearance characteristics were actually not the same gender as him. But the thing was, he couldn’t really remind himself all the time that they were not the same gender. In fact, he still regarded the females as males who were on earth before, with which they could all hang out and drink together.

Ling Xun knew that at this time, he should leave to be considered a polite female. However, looking at the little male who was sleeping soundly in front of him,  he couldn’t stand up and leave.

The little male zerg’s petal-like lips slightly revealed a gap, and with each breath, the entire space was filled with the smell of his sweet pheromone. Surrounded by such a smell, Ling Xun couldn’t help but have the illusion that he was his female making him reluctant to leave.

He had been watching his outline with a gentle gaze. Slowly and firmly, the zerg in front of him was carved into his heart, and he could no longer erase it.

Beep—his light brain suddenly vibrated slightly, and a line of information appeared on the screen.

It was a message from the military department, and he had to go there.

Ling Xun took a deep look at the little male zerg again, and then forced himself to look away with great willpower. He stood up and walked out silently.

Fang Qingci found that he had returned to the familiar apartment again, and the computer screen in front of him displayed unfinished novel documents. On the ashtray next to the keyboard, there was still half an unfinished cigarette. A faint plume of smoke curled up. It turned out that he just had a dream. He was still on a strange planet and had not returned to earth.

This dream made him a little melancholic, but immediately, his spirits picked up again. He was a very adaptable person and since he was here, he would live his life well.

For the first time, he was thankful that he was an orphan and had no family. If there were family members who he couldn’t let go off on earth, he would definitely not be so relaxed now.

He stood up and stretched slowly, with a happy smile on his face.

Looking at the bright side, if he was still on earth, he would not be able to live in such a big villa even in a hundred years, right?

Looking at the sunset outside the window, his heart was full of longing and yearning for the future.

That’s it. From now on, he would be a male zerg named Fang Qingci. Even if he is no longer in human society, he would live a good life, and experience everything this world had to offer.

After two days of chaos, Fang Qingci finally settled down. Everything that had to be purchased had been purchased. Finally, he could live quietly.

He also didn’t plan to go out and take a look at it for the time being. In essence, he was still the same old recluse. If he could stay at home, he wouldn’t want to go out.

Why walk around under the scorching sun, when he could stay at home and play games leisurely?
