Li Su stopped him. “Yuan Mo, come and sit down. Let’s talk.”

Wen Yuan Mo gave Li Su a blank expression. Although he was unhappy, he still sat down.

Li Su sighed. “Do you think mum is not as good to you as before? Do you think that mum is better to your older sister now than to you?”

Wen Yuan Mo remained silent.

“You ask yourself, how did mum treat you before? But what about you? How did you treat me? Mum had a fever these past few days and felt sick. Your older sister came home after school every day, cooked, and took care of me. She did her best. How about you? You knew that I was sick, but you didn’t come home. When Li Su saw that Wen Cai Er was awake, she said, “Why are you up so early? Go brush your teeth and wash your face. By the way, I made a red and blue chequered skirt. It’s on the table for you. Try it and see if you like it.”

Li Su pushed Wen Cai Er out of the kitchen. Before Wen Cai Er could react, she saw the brand-new skirt on the table. Wen Cai Er stared at it. Was such a beautiful skirt really for her?

Wen Cai Er held up the skirt, her hands trembling. Her eyes were moist. Was she dreaming? If this was really a dream, then she hoped that she never woke up.

Wen Cai Er washed up quickly. She then ran back to her room and put on the new skirt. She stared at herself in the mirror. It was so beautiful!

She was also a girl, so she liked beautiful clothes and jewellery. However, her mother rarely bought her new clothes. She wore her school uniform and sportswear every day.
