Great Performance by Wakutsu

Wakutsu retreated. The Orc General slowly closed in on him. The distance between Wakutsu and the Orc General was about five meters.

The Orc General smiled at Wakutsu’s frightened appearance.

“Aa, ahhhh.”

Wakutsu screamed with his whole body, which was not something an ordinary person could do. It was a pity that only the chosen ones could do.

“Buhihihihihi!”

The Orc General waved his halberd in a threatening manner.

“Ugh, don’t come here!”

Wakutsu ran with his back to the enemy.

“Er, erkkkk!”

The Orc General approached Wakutsu with his huge body in motion. Okay, it’s about time. I’ll use [Earth Manipulation] to create a void in the ground between Wakutsu and the Orc General.

Hmm, this is hard. The pit didn’t spread downward at all.

“Ptooey, erkk!”

The Orc General stumbled when his foot got caught in the hollow of the ground, but he quickly regained his footing and started running again.

“Hey! Why isn’t he falling?”

Wakutsu turned around and shouted. The Orc General thrusted a halberd towards Wakutsu’s face.

“Hey! Watch out!”

Wakutsu, who grew up specializing in escaping and evading, managed to outrun him, but the situation didn’t look good if it were to continue like this. I used [Earth Manipulation] once again.

Zusher. (T/N: an sfx)

The Orc General got caught in a loop made of soil and dived to the ground with great force.

“Oops! He fell on his own.”

Wakutsu was agitated. There seemed to be more room than I thought. The Orc General was lying on the ground, his shoulders shaking. He was quite angry.

Wakutsu signalled towards me: ‘Try creating the pit once more!’, it read. Without needing to be told by him, I’d already been making the pit right in front of the Orc General for a while now, but I still couldn’t make it deep enough. It seemed that the floor boss’ room was particularly tough.

The Orc General stepped out and got stuck in the hollow, shaking with more anger. Wakutsu held back his laughter, until I couldn’t see his eyes. He seemed to realize that the pitfall challenge was almost a failure.

I took a close-up shot of the Orc General with his angry expression, and his face gradually turned black. When I pulled the camera back, his whole body turned black and a steam-like substance came out.

“Huh! What, eh!!”

Wakutsu decided to shoot a [Piercing] with a short spear, but the tip of the spear was stopped by the thick outer layer of the Orc General’s skin. He grabbed the short spear with his bare hands and pulled it out of his skin, throwing it against the wall.

“Ah, ahaha.”

Wakutsu laughed unintentionally.

“Buhihihihihi.”

The Orc General laughed, too. Slowly, he stepped forward, cornering Wakutsu against the wall.

“Erk.”

Wakutsu felt the wall at his back and knew he was completely cornered. There were no weapons around him. He was doomed.

“Buhihibuhihihi.”

Are you ready for this? That’s what it sounded like to me. The Orc General swung his halberd over his head.

“Damn! It’s time for my trump card!”

Wakutsu took out a white bead, the trump card that I gave him, from his magic pouch and thrusted it towards the Orc General. The bead emitted a strong light and the boss’ room flashed white for a moment.

“Eh.”

Wakutsu made a sound as if playing dumb. His gaze passed through the Orc General and stared off into the distance. The Orc General wielded his halberd without regard for Wakutsu.

Boom.

His head rolled on the ground, and blood spurted out of his neck. Slowly, the Orc General’s huge body collapsed and fell to the ground.

The camera caught the being that had cut the Orc General’s head off. It was the God of Death, clad in rags and carrying a scythe, drifting through the air.
