Playground of the Gods

“The Play of Gods” initiated by the superior Gods even among the Gods.

Humans who become chosen by the Gods become apostles, enables them to travel to and fro the spiritual higher realms, to the “The Playground of Gods”.

There, what space awaits them? And which God will they be competing against. It is only the Gods who know the answer.

And……

The place where Fei and the others came to, didn’t have anything but a wide-spread sky.

A vivid Gradation of Blue. Where the sky seemed to continue till the horizon, below them were the sea of pure-white patches clouds.

The upper-half was the continuous deep-blue sky. The lower half was the continuous sea of clouds.

The total of twenty-two apostles, including Fei, continued to freefall hundreds of meters in the sea of clouds that filled the world below.

“Wha!? What the Heck is Thiiisss!!!!!!!?????”

Amidst the roaring wind, Pearl screamed at the top of her voice.

“Aren’t we just continuing to fall! Is it something like, if we are unable to fly, we will be deemed disqualified. Reche san, can’t you  you do anything about this!?”

“N-…… it’s not like I can’t do, I can fly in the skies or can do something like that though”

Reche, who was moments prior, falling on her back, had now held her, her arms folded around her.

But even while being clung upon by Pearl in mid-air, The ex-kami sama girl was as relaxed and unfazed as always.

“Why don’t we just continue falling till the point we are still curious about it? If we fall tens of thousands of meters like this, and then encounter a ground in the end.” “We will be squashed flat as we land on the ground!” 

“But, I will be fine.”

“EVERYONE BESIDES YOU WILL GET COMPLETELY WIPED OUT OH GOD!!!”

And… they continue to fall down the sky… with only a sea of clouds seeming to open up as they continue falling though……

And as Fei continues watching at the spreading white sea of clouds, he encounters an anomaly which seemed to unfold.

 *sfx Lightening

A sound heard-reverberated as if the air had just suddenly burst out open, following which the sea of clouds opened up revealing us to that huge ocean which is lied on top of this vast as the sea of cloud itself. And just like that, in between the hot huge, thick, bulgy cotton-candy like cloud, there was now a big hole spreading open—- and in the depths of which, there is seen a black shadow slithering and shimmering.

[TL note: The cloud description seemed fun. ehehehe]

“……”there’s something under the sea of clouds!”

Coming towards the surface. Something incredibly huge ─────────

An unbelievable huge dragon comes and breaks open through the sea of clouds.   

“What the hell is that?”

It’s bizarrely huge. 

It was so huge that Fei, who was free-falling from a high altitude, couldn’t see the whole thing even if he looked down. The dragon, bathed in the light of the sun had its whole body shining with deep purple color through its scales.

Bigger than elephants, even the whales—

More than even that Titan God itself—

It is way bigger than any God I’ve ever seen up till now. 

 “No way. ……” 

 “That is!?” 

Fei’s words were followed by an apostle who was also free falling through the space. Pearl’s former teammates, the nineteen members of the “Flaming Light”.  

All of them were looking down at one single place: The Giant Dragon below them, with pale faces. 

“Are you kidding me, in such an important time……” 

“It’s Ouroboros!”

After that scream, everyone, including Fei started having cold sweats running down the spine.

*sfx shudder

The moment he saw the “God”, his spine shuddered in fear. There was no logic or reason to it. Just the mere fact that it exists was enough to make a person tremble in awe.

It was such an existence —-

…… This is the first time for me too.

…… In comparison to the Gods, I have met so far, this one breaks all those preconceived conventions! I just can’t just stop shivering.

“This is that Ouroboros. ……!”

The God of Infinite Ouroboros.

Capture success even now remains 0%. No matter who it was in the past. Be it the saint, the superhuman, even that genius of playing games known to the entire humankind. All were defeated equally, just like a newborn baby. The God of Despair against whom no one had ever succeeded ever in history.

Forgetting how to blink; Fei focused his eyes, staring towards that.

Down…down…down… we, being led by that God of Infinite, Ouroboros; continue falling down the sea of clouds where that swims.

“I will challenge you, (and your) God’s Game!”
