Hearing this question Dante chuckled lightly

"Don't worry, They'll be just fine."  said Dante

I instructed Lennox to not push them to any harm, if they're truly at their bodies limit he won't push them any further. I even personally checked his teachings to make sure it was true."

"Well... If you say it like that then I guess there's nothing to worry about" said Rebecca

"Just make sure to not push them too far, they're still growing boys afterall. we wouldn't want to leave them with any long-lasting damage to their bodies."

"Of course" replied Dante nodding in agreement

Hearing this Rebecaa smiled she rose from her seat

"Well, seeing as the matter with the boys has been settled, I will be taking my leave. There's still many matters with distribution and compensation for the victims that needs o be settled before we leave this fortress"

As Rebecca spoke, a slightly haggard look appeared on her face causing Dante to cough guiltily. He knew he was no help to Rebecca when it came to these many administrative duties. The best he could do was stay out of her way, causing her as little stress as possible.

Knowing this Dante  smiled at Rebecca.

"Very well then Rebecca, I won't bother you any longer."

Hearing this Rebecca smiled towards Dante one more time before quickly leaving the room.

A while after  Rebecca left the room, Dante's thoughts couldn't help but start to drift off.

Originally this trip wasn't supposed to be so eventful.

What was supposed to be a standard Bandit subjugation to test his strength had quickly devolved into something much more deadly involving powers and beings he could barely even comprehend.

If he wasn't careful Rebecca may have even lost her life this time.

It was times like this that were truly humbling. It made Dante realise that while his title of Dragon son and Prince consort may seem grand and influential, in front of some it was  nothing more than useless fluff.

There were still terrifying beings and powers in this world that Dante simply couldn't understand . He was still a frog in a well.

But even with all this it wasn't like his trip was completely fruitless either.

He had managed to not only awaken his Dracolich Dragon soul but even awaken it up to the Mature adult dragon stage!

If it wasn't for this circumstance and pool of blood. It may have even taken years to accomplish a similar feat.

So while the source of this opportunity may be a twisted and disgusting crime, Dante couldn't say for certain that he regretted it.

After all back at the capital he was falling deeper and deeper  into the struggle for the throne of the Vaenam kingdom.

Any strength he gained would  never be looked down upon.

'Lloyd you bastard!' Thought Dante

'Just wait, when I get back to the capital a whole new round of hell will be awaiting you!'

...

Like that another day had passed as the victorious soldiers and refugees had stayed inside of the bandit fortress.

By now all preparations had been completed and everyone was finally ready to take their leaves

A massive convoy of treasure soldiers and civilians could be seen with Dante leading them at the head.

Dante took one last look at the fortress that had been completely ransacked and abandoned by his soldiers before he looked back to his convoy soldiers.

"Let's head back Victorious! Let's head back home!"

"Yes my lord! " roared the soldiers in with fervent vigour!

This time they had done the impossible. Hordes of undead monsters, giant bone golems and vicious bandits.

Despite facing these enemies and facing an overwhelming numerical disadvantage they had still managed to come out victorious.

It was a miracle, no, a legend!

A legendary tale that they would pass onto their children and many more generations to come!

They had fought a mythical war with the legendary Dragon Son of war and they had come out victorious!

With war drums still beating and victorious roars of soldiers echoing, the convoy headed back..

…..

Many  hours after the convoy had departed from the bandit fortress,

The sky above had turned dark as an ominous and eerie aura had descended onto the scene of this gruesome battlefield.

In this strange scene a hooded figure suddenly appeared in the sky.

The hooded figure didn't remain in the sky too long and quickly descended into the bandit fortress. The figure didn't stop to search the fortress and skipped past many layers descending into the basement that once housed the wretched blood pool.

But strangely enough the hooded figure wasn't attracted to the location of the blood pool but instead drawn to a different scene.

An ashy charred section of the floor.

If one had been there when Dante had descended to the location they would realised that that was the exact spot in which Dante had burned the wretched corpse master into ashes.

The figure was completely hooded but as soon as the figure looked towards the pile of ashes a two deep green flames burst forth from where it's original eyes should have been.

The hooded figure slowly strolled towards the pile of ashes and rummaged around before it eventually found something.

It was a finger. More specifically, it was the forefinger that had once belonged to the corpse Master.

The finger had completely charred black by Dante's devastating Draconic flames and cracks could even be found around the finger as if it could break apart at even the slightest of touches. But even with that an undeniable wretched and evenly aura could be felt leaking out and around the finger.

Realising this the flames of the hooded burned even brighter than before.

Suddenly a terrifying green flame burst out from the hooded figure setting the entire fortress ablaze in the emerald green flame.

The fire raged on for an hour burning everything to the ground and by the time the fire had been completed all traces of the man had been completely erased, as if no other being had been here in the first place.
