With Masato leading us, we passed through the crane game corner and arrived at a corner where famous games such as Drum no Tatsujin are placed.

However, Masato stopped in front of a game next to Drum no Tatsujin.

Music Game huh. It seems kinda similar to Drum no Tatsujin.

Certainly, people are waving their hands at the ATM-like machine too…….isn’t moving like that seem a bit weird though…..? The notes were falling like a waterfall but how can they even keep up with those weird motions……

Wait, why are we here? He wants us to play that? Isn’t that just impossible?

“Seiya, we are doing this one.”

“….the washing machine huh?”

“This looks fun!”

“I have never even tried Drum no Tatsujin before…..”

“It will be fine! It will just be a friendly match between the four of us! Besides, this one has a lot of famous songs so it will be fun.”

Certainly, the game is displaying the player ranking for a while now and the songs were all from famous movies and even the opening of my favorite anime.

It seems that the songs the top players played were originals but it seems like we can try it out since the four will just be competing with each other.

“Then let’s start! Alright, since I’m on the left-most machine, I’m choosing the song okay.”

From left to right, Masato, I, Eihashi-san, and Ichinose-san line up in front of the machine. Apparently, on singleplayer you can play 3 songs for a hundred yen but with 2 or more players you can play up to 4.

First, we inserted a 100 yen coin and go through the tutorial.

It seems that you have to hit the button or tap the screen at the right time when the note intersects with the ring. From the tutorial, there are three main types of note, tap, hold, and slide. It’s very easy to understand.

“Alright! Then let’s play the first song……you guys know this one?”

“Ah, this one is from ‘Your Name’ right? I think it’s the theme song. I know it.”

“I haven’t seen it yet but if it’s the song……”

“I know it! I saw the movie too! So, which difficulty should we go with?”

“Hmm……easy would be like the tutorial you did earlier so how about we go with basic?”

Come to think of it, this guy didn’t play as a guest but has his own ID huh. He might have been quite a seasoned player here.

“Shiraki-san. Should we adjust the speed here?”

“Hmm, if it’s too slow then it might be even more difficult so I think normal might be the best.”

“Alright, I will change mine too.”

”Everyone. Are you ready? We are starting alright?”

The moment the song started, the notes flow from right to left. It is a little harder than the tutorial but I personally find it doable.

However, Masato on my left who probably used to high difficulty already is very annoying. It’s not that he tapped the screen loudly but it’s his movement that’s annoying.

When I take a quick look at him, he even hit the screen when the notes were absent or rhyme with the song so that he doesn’t miss the rhythm, he even has gloves on since who knows when. It was like he is playing a different game all by himself.

And in contrast to that, Eihashi-San on my right is making eh? And Ah? Sounds that I don’t know if she did it subconsciously or not.

Also, it seems that her timing is slightly off. When two notes were approaching on the same location, she often hit the button only once when they all reached the ring.

Also when the notes came from above and below at once, she flails her hands in the air since she doesn’t know what to do.

By the way, I also made a mess on my end while I was watching others play.

“Wha….EEH…..Uwaa…..”

“What the heck is up with your reaction speed…..”

“No, it’s nothing special really. My ranking is already high on the highest difficulty of this song so I think that it’s natural that I take first place right?”

“I got second so I’m already satisfied! Hiura-kun has a lot of misses so you probably missed the double rings right? And Reika…….should we go with easy next time……..”

After that Masato selected the hard difficulty for himself and naturally still ranked first. Seeing that, I decided to bring him down a peg and select a new song and difficulty for him myself.

“AH! You, this is the Master difficulty you know……”

“A master like you should be able to do it right?”

“Mine is easy. I’m ready.”

After confirming that everyone is ready, I pressed the button to start the song.

“We are starting okay? Oi! What are you doing!”

Masato raised my difficulty the moment I tried to press start. I didn’t notice it and the song was already starting.

The song I chose was a Vocaloid song but everyone knows it because it was made by a person who became famous under a different name later.

Well, naturally, I couldn’t handle the advanced difficulty since I’m only a beginner……

The one who chose the song next was Eihashi-san. She chose one from the same movie as before and surprisingly Ichinose-san chose an anime song for us next.

Since I focused my mind on the two songs they chose I was able to finish second for both songs. The biggest reason for this might be because my eyes are starting to get used to the speed though.

I could overtake Ichinose-san and take second place but about Eihashi-san……let’s leave that part out.

“I can’t do rhythm game after all…….”

“Hey, Hey! Reika! Let’s go to the photo booth next!”

“……..Hiura-kun, no, I will forgive everyone if we can take pictures together….”

“Hey! The two of you, let’s go together! Shiraki-kun made us play that so you have to come with us by default! And Hiura-kun is also partly to blame so you have to come too!”

“This is my first time using a photo booth though……”

Thus, after the crane game and music game, we head toward the photo booth.
