Sohee made a resolution.

It wasn’t an impulsive choice because she had thought about this for nearly three months. It was the final decision she made the moment the child kicked in her stomach.

“You can make a novel again.”

Her heart had reached that direction as she thought about it for a long time.

The desire grew stronger as the nightmares repeated.

She wanted to save the child. After confirming what she wanted, her thoughts became stronger, and Ariad’s initial goal of becoming the heroine gradually faded.

She also rationalized that if the novel’s plot was interesting enough, even if the heroine changed, it wouldn’t have a significant impact on her making money.

Then the first thing to do is——-

“Hey, Joshua!” She called carefully and he looked at So-hee.

She licked her lips in hesitation before speaking with difficulty. “I’m stressed out and I thought of a game that could solve that. It would be nice if I can run while getting some fresh air.” As Joshua listened to Sohee seriously, she suggested. “Why don’t I learn horseback riding?”

That was it.

“No, you can’t.”

She already expected this answer and that was why she hesitated before blurting it out.

“It’s past the time to be careful so won’t it be alright?”

“No.”

When So-hee attempted to bargain once more, he quickly raised the spoon and put the food into her open mouth.

Speechless, So-hee had no choice but to chew it.

“I’ll teach you how to ride a horse later.”

“….”

“After giving birth.” He said firmly as if it was final.

Joshua wasn’t a fool who had no idea that learning horseback riding now was too fatal.

Nevertheless, she couldn’t think of a suitable way to overcome this crisis enough to utter such a dangerous idea.

If there was anyone to help her with her problem, she wouldn’t have even thought about learning horseback riding.

Unfortunately, there was no one around except for Mary, who appeared to be Joshua’s representative.

Mary had filled the vacancy of the man every time he left for work.

“Well, the reporter from Trendspaper came to my brother’s class and my younger brother tried really hard to be friendly with him. The reporter must have found him cute since he resembled me a bit. Ah. Anyway, if they become close, he might get into the newspaper company through personal connections. I’m so proud of him”

Listening to her stories with only one ear, So-hee struggled to come up with another plausible method.

According to the synopsis, Deon Filtmore, the father of this body’s child, should be eager to be in her presence at this moment. However, Deon didn’t even tell her where he was going when he left, so there was no way to contact him.

She would know if she went back to reality, but it was impossible to do with a pregnant body.

In the end, So-hee had no choice but to examine the heart of Joshua’s hand and foot.

“Mary.”

Mary, who was chattering away, stopped talking.

“Whose side are you on?”

Mary answered the question quickly as if finding it absurd.

“Of course, I’m on your side, Lady Ariad. I’m your maid.”

“So you’re not on Joshua’s side?”

“Why do you ask that?” Mary asked curiously.

In response, So-hee squeezed out a pitiful voice.

“Actually, I just had an argument with Joshua. There’s nobody on my side in this palace. I feel like you’re not on my side either, so it made me feel a little lonely.”

“Oh my God, Lady Ariad! What are you talking about?”

Mary waved her hands at her believable performance.

Even if her bedroom was practically soundproof,  she still spoke in a low voice just in case someone was listening.

“Actually, I was able to work here because of the crown prince so I’m fearful of his wrath.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yes. When I had my first interview, he threatened me. No, not really. He just told me that your previous maidservant got kicked out because she wasn’t doing her job properly.

Hearing those words, So-hee resisted trying to embarrass herself.

“Oh, my God. He does that sometimes. His Highness is really cold. We just had an argument about that, too.”

“That’s right. My first impression of him still scared me after seeing him smile while saying that.”  Mary spoke without a hitch, excited that the conversation was going well.

“Then, Mary, are you on my side at least? What was your first impression of me?”

“My first impression of you wasn’t really good, Lady Ariad. You looked a bit sad when you saw me.”

Sohee recalled her first meeting with Mary and she was right.

She was annoyed with Joshua for assigning another maidservant to watch over her after getting rid of everything.

The child was blunt and she was truly grateful for that.

“You don’t get angry like any other high-ranking aristocrat, and you listen to me so well. You’re an angel to me now.”

“Mary, thank you very much for saying that.”

“What do you mean, thank you? I’m on your side.”

After laying the foundations, Sohee brought up the main point of this discussion.

“If what you’re telling me is true, can you do me a favor, then? You can’t tell anyone. Not even Joshua.”

“Of course. Of course.”

Seeing Mary respond calmly, Sohee smiled.

The introduction of her second plan wasn’t that bad.
