Yan Yi’s shirt was pushed up to his butterfly bones. The alpha pinched his thin, slender waist with both hands, his thumb pressing tightly into his waist before sliding along the smooth curve and into the base of his thighs, grasping Yan Yi to relieve him.

The alpha’s burning hot chest pressed against Yan Yi from behind and he lowered his head to kiss his hot, lopped rabbit ears. His panting voice was low and slightly hoarse, suppressing the long-awaited throbbing and kissing from his ears to his neck. He stared at Yan Yi’s clean and smooth glands, revealing his canine teeth, but he only licked them tenderly in hesitation.

Having his thing below grasped by the alpha’s hand, Yan Yi arched his back and pressed closer to him, an uncontrollable moan squeezing out between his lips.

“You’re too bad, baobei. I said I’d let you go, and you really didn’t wait for me. Do you really not like me at all?” He put some effort into his punishment, causing Yan Yi to raise his tail and tremble. The alpha was actually gentle enough, but his innate strong sense of dominance was difficult to disguise in this situation.

Yan Yi tried to wake himself up, but because of his chaotic confusion when the concentrated inhibitor attacked, his sight and hearing became disordered. The alpha pressed against his back was emitting courtship pheromones, the viscous attraction so captivating that it made Yan Yi lose all his composure. His reasoning then quickly collapsed within seconds, brain turning blank and only wanting his comfort.

“You already have an alpha you like. Why are you still unhappy?” The alpha confusedly asked in low spirits, his powerful arm tucking the thin and small waist under him into his embrace. His little rabbit was so outstanding and charming, no alpha was worthy of him.

When Yan Yi vaguely called out Mu Lan’s name, the alpha’s hand stiffened fiercely. The temperature suddenly dropped and sweat filled his palms.

Tortured by inhibitors, Yan Yi’s soft hand pushed the alpha’s chest desperately. How could Mu Lan pretend to be so much like him, so much that he even expected to believe him.

He wouldn’t have been selfish enough to use anyone as a substitute, but today he made an exception and called out a certain name, not in his right mind as he readily wrapped around the alpha’s neck.

When Yan Yi woke up, it was already early morning three days later. His hand was infused with a nutrient solution and his body was dry and relaxed. He had finally passed the difficult heat period.

He picked up a light grey suit from the wardrobe and pulled out a tie with a matching pattern. When he tied the tie, his body jerked and his mind flashed back to the shadow from the trance he was in that night?

A little confused and hazy, Yan Yi sniffed at the residual scent in the room. The wind blew in through the window. Even if there was a smell, it had already dissipated. Moreover, the security system around the bedroom was extensive, making it difficult to enter the second floor from outside without leaving fingerprints.

Fortunately, it was just a dream. It startled Yan Yi into a cold sweat, thinking that he had broken his principles and bottom line.

Breakfast was put on the table on time. Lu Yan sat at the table wrapped in a bib. He grabbed a small spoon with a wooden handle and ate pumpkin congee, while the nanny sat on the side and fed him some soft pastries.

Yan Yi sat down, took the pastry from his nanny’s hand, and fed it to the little bunny in small bites, placing a few clover leaves in his bowl.

Lu Yan hadn’t seen his father for three days, so he threw down the small spoon and climbed onto Yan Yi’s lap, hugging him affectionately. The little bunny was very sticky, but also very obedient. Even though he missed his father very much, he only hugged him with a pout, knowing his father had been feeling unwell for three days.

The nanny picked up the doodles that Lu Yan had drawn on the paper in the morning and praised the little baby for his talent in drawing, ‘look at the little angel on the paper, it’s so alike’.

The crooked lines on the drawing paper were trees in the courtyard, and there was a stickman sitting on a branch and two triangles growing behind his back.

A child’s creativity required careful guidance and encouragement. Yan Yi rubbed Lu Yan’s small head and asked with a light smile what the drawing was. He was attentive and patient enough with everything about Lu Yan. A child without the comfort of their alpha father was already unsteady, so Yan Yi gave his child as much attention as possible to show Lu Yan his love and strength to make up for the lack of fatherly love from his other half.

Lu Yan swayed his little legs and said that he drew his father.

The string in Yan Yi’s mind suddenly tensed. Yan Yi stared at the drawing and nearly knocked the glass over when he reached to get the soy bean milk.

He hastily had a few bites of breakfast and instructed Lu Yan to obediently wait for his father to finish work. He took the car keys and rushed down the garage without waiting for the elevator.

While driving at high speed, he clearly integrated the strange clues of the past few days in his mind and arrived at the headquarters building at 7:30.

The minister of security was giving a lecture at the entrance. Sixty members of the security team stood at attention with their hands behind their backs waiting for the lecture. All were wearing riot-control uniforms and full face masks, most of them alpha with similar body types.

Yan Yi didn’t directly drive the car in, but quickly turned off the engine and lit a cigarette as he leaned against the door.

The security team turned orderly to the left and nodded in unison, greeting, “Hello President.”

Yan Yi nodded lightly, his gaze wandering over each of the security team members, pausing occasionally with subtle inspection in his eyes. He tilted his head and whispered a few words to the security minister next to him who then nodded repeatedly and opened the car door for Yan Yi.

After Yan Yi’s car left, the team members resumed their formation and continued training. Only an alpha in the back row was repeatedly turning back until Yan Yi disappeared from sight before turning away with satisfaction.

When he turned his head, he found that the minister was standing in front of him and placing a magnetic card in his hand. He said that the bodyguard next to the chairman had gone home to recuperate from his injuries and that he needed to send a new person over to temporarily fill the vacancy.

“I saw that your resume was pretty good. A retired special forces officer from PBB unit.” The minister patted the alpha’s shoulder and gave him a meaningful smile, saying that he had climbed the high branch and worked hard.

The alpha’s back turned cold as he took the magnetic card.

He went to report to the president first, but he didn’t expect that as soon as he entered the door, the scene caused him to have a cardiac arrest.

Yan Yi was standing face to face with his assistant, applying medicine to the pinch marks on his neck.

The president had never been so proactive and considerate before. Mu Lan stood trembling and didn’t dare to move, slightly lifting his jaw as he let Yan Yi play with his heart.

Yan Yi glanced at the new bodyguard who came to report and lightly instructed Assistant Mu, “Be careful when you go out in the future, otherwise you wouldn’t know if some people aren’t in good spirits.”

“Alright, President.” Mu Lan felt the familiar sense of oppression emanating from the bodyguard at the door and his neck suddenly tightened. The hand that was pretending to hold the side of Yan Yi’s waist became more estranged as he withdrew a few centimetres.

The night before, he was blocked by the alpha with cold and piercing features at his doorstep and the other party almost broke his neck. Although he later explained that he had mistaken him for someone, Mu Lan could still see that he was coming at him, but for some unknown reason couldn’t kill him.

Yan Yi kept glancing at the alpha bodyguard standing at the door. The alpha clenched his fist and subconsciously rubbed the gun callous on his fingers. This was an action he always did, a fixed habit before taking his sniper gun.

The alpha gently closed the door of the lounge and the sound of footsteps gradually faded away.

Yan Yi leaned over the table and looked out, lost in thought. Mu Lan couldn’t help but ask who the alpha who had just left was, but Yan Yi handed him a dispatch document. Assistant Mu’s work ability and attitude were both excellent and it happened that Cang Xiao’er sent an email stating that he was short of manpower on his end.

As soon as the document was passed, Yan Yi no longer looked at the expression on Mu Lan’s face. As he watched him sign it, he felt a sense of relief in his heart.

It turned out that he was also equally awful when facing people he didn’t care about. The little lion could never see this clearly and Yan Yi didn’t want to hurt him.

He was the only one left in the lounge. After picking a bottle of red wine from the wine cabinet and tasting it, he felt that it was not strong enough to match his current mood, so he had someone bring two bottles of brandy to him.

He was so drunk that he slumped on the couch, his tie ripped loose and his shirt lifted to his belly. The curve of his thin, narrow waist was tightly bound by his belt.

When Yan Yi rolled over, he almost rolled to the ground, but he was caught by someone’s arms and picked up with one hand.

The alpha bodyguard lowered his head, picking up the empty wine bottle on the ground and throwing it into the trash can. Disappointed, he grabbed Yan Yi’s thin waist and gritted his teeth, cursing softly, “You want to anger me to death… don’t you, baobei, you just want me to be tortured to death.”

Yan Yi rested on his shoulder and half opened his lost eyes in a daze. It seemed that he could only see the alpha when he wasn’t sober, and he really did miss him.

He grabbed the alpha’s collar and said that he wanted soothing pheromones.

The alpha couldn’t hold back the bottom line at all when he spoiled Yan Yi so he released it for him indefinitely. He couldn’t help but observe the subtle expression on Yan Yi’s face in anticipation that he would like it.

Yan Yi sniffed the scent and then pushed the alpha’s chest in disgust.

He wanted narcissus, what was this light sweet scent? It was like the bouquet of flowers brought back by the nanny, like the vines that grew unknowingly in the courtyard, like the roses scattered all over the park.

But he was defeated by this light sweet fragrance, unable to extricate himself, attracted and comforted by it. He hated himself for indulging in another taste and falling for it. Exactly how high was the compatibility fit that it would make the S4 grade omega go mad and crazy, betraying the narcissus scent hidden in the deepest part of the heart.

The alpha was pushed until his temper disappeared. His hand slid into the omega’s waistband and caressed the helpless swaying little tail.

“I’m sorry.” I actually wanted to know how you’ve been. I can never touch you while looking from a distance. When you’re sad and heartbroken and need an alpha to hug you and pet you, why can’t it be me? Is it because as long as it’s Lu Shangjin, you won’t like it?

Yan Yi vomited twice in the restroom, holding onto a pot of narcissus planted in the corner of the lounge and insisting on sleeping with it.

The alpha didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He coaxed and tricked the little rabbit into the bathroom to wash him clean before wrapping him up in a towel and carrying him into the back room. He plugged in a hair dryer to dry his hair, then stroked his wet little tail and blew it into a fluffy ball. He took a small comb, smoothed the tangles of his fluffy hair down, and sprayed some anti-static softener.

He gently stroked Yan Yi’s finely-soft hair, hoping to give him a long hug after being apart for so long when he woke up. He silently drafted countless words in his mind, explaining everything he had experienced in the past two years, but also worried about whether he would get a kiss or a slap in the face.

Forget it, the chances of getting kicked over were higher. In fact, he didn’t dare. He didn’t dare to throw off his disguise in front of the omega. He wanted to watch Yan Yi live happily but he couldn’t watch him being together with someone else. Whatever he said about breaking up was all fucking bullshit.

The alpha bent over and kissed Yan Yi’s ear. A heart that is difficult to serve, so I’ll tackle this difficult job and like him then.

The clock on the wall pointed to two o’clock in the afternoon. At this time, the temporary assistant knocked on the door and called for Yan Yi, but the alpha took it upon himself to push back all the meetings that afternoon. After all, the alpha himself was a master of pushing back anything when he was being capricious, so he was well-versed in prevaricating.

The temporary assistant looked at the alpha and found that his face was covered in a mask and his appearance couldn’t be shown. However, upon further observation, the outline of his features was probably extremely handsome, and his legs wrapped in an anti-riot uniform were slender and well proportioned. No wonder this kind of goods could enter the president’s lounge.

After sending the temporary assistant back to the room, the alpha saw Yan Yi holding the edge of the bed and taking medicine from the drawer.

Yan Yi sat by the bed in a daze, counting several medications in his hands. He was about to put them into his mouth when the alpha grabbed his wrist and took the antidepressant medication from his hand and put it into his pocket.

Yan Yi glanced at him. The alpha inserted his sweaty hand into his pocket and clenched the pills. He nervously showed Yan Yi the serious side effects of long-term use of antidepressants on his phone.

Yan Yi gave a sleepy smile and said lazily, “What are you?”

The alpha remained silent and put away his phone. He wanted to touch Yan Yi’s cheek to ask if he was tired or uncomfortable.

The temporary assistant suddenly knocked on the door and came in with an urgent document in hand.

Yan Yi took the document and glanced at it. He had a sudden jolt of energy as his face turned pale. He then took the car keys and rushed out.

Startled, the alpha hurriedly climbed down the stairs to follow Yan Yi, getting into the passenger seat before Yan Yi started the car.

The intelligence department had sent a message that the terrorist organization that was previously cleared had left behind several fugitives lurking outside. After having their hideout discovered and being driven into a corner, they might implement extreme retaliation, creating a terrorist event. According to surveillance, the primary target was near Yan Yi’s home.

After running several red lights along the way, Yan Yi’s face remained calm as usual, only his frequency of honking the horn increasing. He threw the lighter at the passenger seat and the alpha knowingly lit Yan Yi’s cigarette.

“My son is still at home.” Yan Yi looked steadily forward, as he ramped up to the max speed without any signs of being in a flurry. He said lightly, “If anything happens to him, you can get lost.”

The alpha turned around and sat upright. He pulled out a silver suitcase from under the passenger seat where two desert eagles and a handful of bullets were stuffed into the density foam. His sigh was deep and familiar.

“I won’t let anything happen to you both.”

The speeding Bentley suddenly drifted and stopped abruptly. Yan Yi picked up one of them and flipped out of the car while the alpha took the other. There seemed to be a magnet between the two, their backs leaned against the other unknowingly and tacitly keeping an eye on the wind and grass behind each other’s back.

When they separated, a single eye contact was enough to surpass words, and the other person’s intention was instantly understood. Yan Yi needed to go find the child first while the alpha would accompany the guards.

Surrounded by silence, they could hear each other’s accelerating heartbeat.

With just one deafening explosion, a car ten meters away suddenly caught fire and exploded, and a series of ear-piercing and chaotic car alarm sounds around disturbed Yan Yi’s hearing. Armed terrorists from all directions aimed their guns at Yan Yi and opened fire without hesitation.

Yan Yi’s figure disappeared several times and reappeared several meters away from teleporting, holding the Desert Eagle in both hands. The heavy gun body rotated smoothly, and no one could get within a radius of ten meters to him.

At the same time, the alpha climbed over several cars, took Lu Yan out, who was trembling behind the garden tree, and released soothing pheromones to ease the little baby’s fear. He put his little soft body into his anti-riot uniform and put his palm on Lu Yan’s head, covering his eyes and ears while focusing on shooting with his right hand. Every bullet neatly brushed past Yan Yi, driving away all dangers close to him one by one.

The PBB stationed troops who were notified prior drove around the entire community with loud sirens. Wearing the PBB badge on his chest, Xia Jingtian led three explosion protection teams to surround all suspicious individuals. His warning was solemnly repeated in the communication speakers and a command to kill the target was issued afterwards.

Yan Yi was still standing absent-mindedly. All the speculations and explorations turned into reality at this moment and a warm current flowed into his heart to fill the small cracks.

The alpha lowered his head and stared at him, his rough thumb rubbing away the blood stains splattered on Yan Yi’s cheeks little by little, as gently as wiping thin and fragile eggshell porcelain.

Lu Yan crept out of the alpha’s chest and jumped into Yan Yi’s arms, hugging his neck tightly as he cried and burped, wanting his father’s soothing pheromones.

Yan Yi hugged him, stunned, and lowered his head to coax the frightened baby.

A sudden warmth came from behind, the alpha’s arms were as strong and powerful as ever, holding Yan Yi and his baby in his arms. His rich soothing pheromone wrapped around them, almost isolating them from the world and leaving only a faint sweet scent of Christmas roses around them.

At the same time, the oppressive pheromones belonging to the alpha were also revealed. Once the A3 grade oppressive pheromone was released, it was difficult to recover it. Several low-grade explosion protection team members covered their chest and immediately pointed their guns at him.

Indifferent to everything around him, he noticed that the two little rabbits in his arms were gradually settling down. He reluctantly released his arms and looked at Yan Yi nervously, waiting for Yan Yi’s verdict against him.

Yan Yi’s pupils trembled as he silently gazed into the alpha’s eyes for a long time, waiting for him to say something. After looking at each other wordlessly for two minutes, Yan Yi gritted his teeth hatefully, turned away and left.

The alpha stood in place, his hands dropping down at a loss.

Little Lu Yan in his arms extended his small hand towards the alpha, round tears hanging from his long eyelashes, his milky voice mumbling:

“…Wait for daddy.”

Yan Yi covered the baby’s eyes and sped up his pace as he walked away, but his nose became uncontrollably sore. Abruptly stammering his feet, he suddenly swung his steps and turned back.

He held the baby in one hand, ripped off Lu Shangjin’s mask, grabbed his collar and made him lower his head in front of him. His beautiful eyes glared at him in anger:

“You still know how to come back?”

The iron flower rack in the courtyard collapsed at his feet, the growing vines smashed to the ground, the police sirens buzzed in the surroundings accompanied by a series of notification of targets killed in the communication speakers, and the clamour from the outside world was deafening, but in front of him was only the little rabbit staring at him with red eyes, his ears echoing with ‘Jin-ge’ that crossed a thousand thoughts.
