The slithering of snakes came from the outside followed by the small snake's voice announcing the arrival of their visitor, giving them a few seconds to prepare before he came in

It was an elderly looking snake that came to see them, the cracked skin and slow movement coupled with the tired vibe was a telltale sign of this snake's age approaching the end

The first thing Ellis thought when she saw him was them sending him due to his immense knowledge, as with age came wisdom, but YuJu didn't share her thoughts

"He's here to die, do not be surprised when he starts taking his last breaths"

He told her in earth's language for if she showed her surprise when it happened then it meant she didn't know how potent the poison was, or at least how potent he was trying to make it out

"Will you be the one to detoxify the poison"

He then said to the snake who looked offended that they spoke in an unknown language in the presence of others, it wasn't respectful to speak your races or regions language when you were a guest or a host, but what could one old snake complain about against two vampires? At least he couldn't show it in font f them even if he complained

'Wait till I expose their wretched state, they must be prey ripe for the catching'

The old snake thought, not believing one second the scent of the poison was doused out by the aura, poison was his expert and he could somewhat tell the smells of them, while this scent wasn't anything he could recognise he could tell that it wasn't too doused and merely half blocked

Then again it was never too late to act out, better be prudent first if one wanted to live in this world

"To ascertain the poison I need to first take a sample and examine it, only after studying t can I come up with an antidote, or in this case, anti-poison"

"Do what you need"

YuJu answered followed by Ellis taking off her boots and lifting the pants up, showing the two surprised snakes the black and purple leg of hers

'That was easy...are they really not hiding something?'

Their actions seemed very confidant but it wasn't always truth that caused it but also assuredness in their disguise, whatever it maybe he was about to find out

Opening his large maw the elderly snake brought the tip of one of his huge fangs over Ellis's exposed leg, awaiting the aura to open up a spot for him to sink in his fangs

Ellis had her eyes open but out of focus as she fully focused on operating her aura to open a slight hole in only the legs, something she'd been practising since for the past day and a half after YuJu told her of his plan, though she still found it impossible to achieve naturally and in battle but if she only focused on that then she could barely do it

A small hole soon open up for the snake's fang, small in proportion to the fang but it was actually a palm-sized hole

The second her aura open up she let loose the restrained poison, wreaking havoc inside her legs once again with nothing to fight it off and sparking another war between the blackish purple poison she got from the poisonous plains and the pitch-black one she received as an injury from the lizardman, while the second poison was more active and invasive than the first it was actually being eaten away as the other one constantly chipped at it with the support of whatever root energy remained

The rancid smell of flesh decaying and poisons festering brought the occupants of the room to a frown, no one commented though and the elderly snake took action, poking his fangs into the leg he hurriedly sucked both the blood, poisons, and unknown to him, the root energy

Once he was done he didn't dally any longer, taking his fangs out of the leg so that Ellis would once again fight back against the poison while he identified its origin and potency

"Sss?"

Just as he was about to analyze the poison within his fang he noticed a peculiar feeling, it was very faint but he could sense an unknown energy suddenly spiralling out of control within his fang

His eyes narrow together in suspension, looking at the now standing Ellis who covered her leg once again, wondering if he should ask her what else was there other than poison, thankfully he didn't have to ponder any longer as he very soon recognised the energy, but he wasn't happy about it, on the contrary, it caused him to send YuJu a horrified look, meeting the calm eyes with a hidden smile in them, as if snickering at him

"SSISSSHAAA"

The next second the elderly snake's eyes turned red and he lashed out, fire clothing his twisting body as he hissed menacingly, strangely his target wasn't only YuJu and Ellis who readily backed away, but everything in his surroundings

His body continued to twist and stretch as if he was fighting something inside him, something trying to burst out, the internal battle causing him to rage further and further

Before things could get too out of control the hiding Sazna and guards came from the distance, thinking the vampires had been discovered and were fighting back only to discover their elder's strange actions

Seeing this situation Saznar sent a glance toward YuJu only to see the tip of a purple blade shimmering both his hands giving an exquisite yet sharp feeling, Ellis by his side didn't take any action though as she seemed too injured to act

Confused by the fact that they seemed to spark the conflict first Saznar decided to contain the situation first and try to understand it later

"Ssseize him!"

He ordered and was the first to pounce on the rampaging elderly snake, coiling around him in a bind to stop him without hurting him

The guards joined as well trying their very best to restrain his actions, surprisingly, while it was easy to do so in the end, they also noticed this elder snake's power rise by a large magnitude, as if he was on drugs, his previously dying body was now filled with vim and vigour as he resisted against them and sent his flames all over the place, scratching the guest house the made and melting most of its interior

Soon though he ran out of juice and finally ceased his struggles, lying limp in the binding coils of his tribesmen

"Put him down"

Saznar ordered, laying him on the burning ground and taking a good look at his condition

Fissured skin that did nothing to cover the dying embers insides, teeth secreting poison continuously, causing a sizzling hole in the ground, and wide miserable eyes that looked as if they wished no more than death

He then looked to the side and saw YuJu standing there calmly, his exquisite blades no longer in hand, while it relieved Saznar to avoid a direct battle with an enemy of unknown strength he was also very displeased, how would he get information now? What was he to do about their far away tribesmen and these two bloodsuckers?

Turning his eyes back to the elder as if seeking answers in his body he was startled to see those wide eyes staring at him

"Elder? What happened to you? Please tell me!"

He asked in hopes to receive a satisfying answer but all he got were wheezes and dying breaths mixed in with broken words

"Heuugh....haaaugh.....poi...pois....roo.....heeugh....roo....roo...."

He never seemed to get to finish this single word as the light snuffed out his eyes, finally greeting death

"...."

Everyone just stood there in wonder of what he was saying, only YuJu got tense, ready to leave at the drop of a hat if he saw any sign of them realizing what that cockroach of a snake managed to convey

Seconds passed by in silence before realization seemed to dawn on Saznar, his surprised eye met the others who were still confused but seemed to be infected by his alarmed look, joining him in his realization

Seeing the look on everyone's face YuJu felt relieved rather than alarmed

'They misunderstood, good, it was a far fetched idea for them to catch onto anyway'

He thought before focusing on Saznar who turned to him, speaking with a little more caution in his tone

"Mister YuJu, we apologise for the inconvenience and the sorry state of our comrade, he couldn't handle the poison and turned berserk, we are truly very sorry"

He apologized twice, hoping it didn't piss him off somehow, the last thing he wanted to do now was to fight this dangerous vampire, just the thought of the power he might hold made his tail shudder

"It's quite alright"

YuJu said with his usual playful smile, as if he expected this end

Seeing him unbothered everyone who 'Knew' what was going on sighed in relief and those who did not kept quiet, awaiting the explanation they would get when they got back inside the tribe

"We shall clean up this place and have your catty delivered as soon as possible, as for the tonic...."

He didn't know what to say about that part, after all from what's could infer their measly poison could not contend against whatever she had

"Do not bother with the place for now, we shall leave before dawn, but do provide your tonic, its should help, somewhat"

"As you please, we shall take our leave"

Saznar turned and left, slithering quietly with his group of guards leaving only YuJu and Ellis accompanied by the poor little snake that knew not what to do, wanting to leave but afraid to abandon her assigned duty

"Master?"

Ellis called from behind making him turn back and give her a smile

"It's all going according to plan"
