Priestess Of The Land

"Dear nephew-in-law, I apologize for my conduct, these friends of mine have come, and I completely forgot to introduce them," Lord Aten started as he walked back towards the table and sat down.

Noble Sabir's hand was finally free to regenerate, so he was not in pain anymore. When he heard Lord Aten address the mysterious man as nephew-in-law, his brain buzzed but he did not let it show.

"Introduce yourselves," ordered Lord Aten.

"My humble name is Nadine," Lady Nadine was quick to introduce herself.

"I am known as Noble Sabir," said Noble Sabir right after her.

"Hmm, that's right, and this gentleman is my nephew-in-law, my niece's husband. They have both traveled from afar to pay me a visit. Since they're here, I might as well invite them to see this hidden temple you found," said Lord Aten slowly, "what do you think?"

"Of course my Lord…then does that mean you have approved of the request to search for the priestess?" asked Noble Sabir in a hurry as he saw some light at the end of the tunnel, but it was simply a reflection of his own stupidity.

Lord Aten ignored his question and said, "Let us all go later then, based on what I see, I will let you know of my answer, but do not think you are off the hook, you still need to go get your due punishment for getting involved in matters unrelated to the Moon Land."

"Yes, my Lord."

Noble Sabir understood that it was time for them to go so he pulled Lady Nadine who was unresigned to leave and left the castle. The pair had flown to the castle so they had flown back to where they came from. As soon as they passed the boundaries of the castle, Noble Sabir slapped Lady Nadine and she fell down the ground.

"You wrench, do you think we went over there for you to admire men, you have a dungeon full of them already, how many more do you need?" Noble Sabir changed to a totally different person, he crazed out at Lady Nadine, as he kicked her while she was down.

Lady Nadine did not cry, she just took the hits, as if she was waiting for them to be over like she was used to such abuse. While she was being kicked by Noble Sabir, her thoughts had drifted away and she was planning on how to get Crei for herself.

As long as Lord Aten did not know, she will make sure his niece does not live long, so she can get close to him at the right moment and steal his heart.

Noble Sabir saw the evil grin on Lady Nadine's face and he stopped. He was disgusted by her, however, she was needed for his grand plan.

"Get up! Make sure everything is ready for the Lord's arrival, I need to get out of this wretched Land and get what's mine, I will definitely ascend into Godhood, and become the rightful Master of the Moon Land."

Noble Sabir then started laughing maniacally on his own, dementedly imagining a dream that will never become real.

Back at the castle, Lord Aten was not in a good mood. Although he had said he wanted to go to the temple with Tria, he was doing it for her. However, he really was not pleased with the fact that he was putting her into danger.

"Uncle-in-law, do not worry, no harm will come to her," Crei said to Lord Aten," I am here, and you are here; we'll protect her."

"Hmm, you are right nephew-in-law, I am going to trouble you to tell her the news, I am going to arrange a few things," answered Lord Aten. He believed they could both protect her, however, that organization was too mysterious, no one knew of their real power, or what their true purpose was.

Lord Aten did not trust Noble Sabir, they might be going there to see the temple, but no one knew what could happen. He took his leave and went to his study and called out Mgor.

"My Lord," Mgor's voice sounded out.

"Tell the others to be ready, I will be going to Luna Lake later."

"Yes, my Lord."

Crei had already walked back to the guest house where Tria was, and when he arrived he found her holding on to her belly as she laughed out loud. Mexi had tied up Ka'an on a chair, and she was tickling her with a feather.

"That's the punishment you get for hugging senior sister, hmph."

"Hahaha, sister Mexi, stop, stop please, haha, I can't take it anymore, my cheeks are hurting from laughing."

"Hmph! Don't think I'll believe you," Mexi said and continued tickling her with a crazed look.

Crei made her way towards Tria and sat beside her, leaning on her shoulder.

"Husband, you smell of alcohol," Tria quickly said as she sniffed the pungent smell on wine.

"Hm wifey, I couldn't even walk to get here, can you help me get inside?" he said pitifully.

Tria squinted her eyes in doubt, but the smell was strong so she believed him, and helped him towards their room. After they arrived in the room, as she was putting him on the bed, she was pulled by him into his embrace.

"I missed you," he whispered.

"I'm here though," Tria answered as she smiled.

"I know, I still missed you," he said again.

"Alright, I am here now, did everything turn out alright with Uncle?"

"Oh that's right, I forgot the most important thing as soon as I saw you, you realize the effects you have on husband?"

"Sure, sure. What is this important thing?"

"Well, it turns out that the Eye might have their people located in the Moon Land. Uncle-in-law just had a pair of guest who had apparently found a temple, however, they couldn't get in and claimed the current priestess will be able to. So they want approval from Uncle-in-law to go look for her, but not to worry, he hasn't. He told them that he wanted to see the temple with you and I, later."

"Interesting but why do you say the Eye is here?"

"Your uncle has been monitoring them and he has been aware of those people's moves in the shadow, although I do not know why he hasn't acted out against them yet."

"A temple…that is interesting, I have no memories about a temple that's been built by any priestesses. Why are they so sure that only a priestess could go through? Could it be a bait?"

"That is true, but I am not sure. Uncle-in-law has a few arrangements made, and I have my shadows to guard you, if anything weird was to occur, we will protect you. Nothing should happen since no one knows you are the priestess, however, I am afraid that they might scheme against your uncle."

"They better not try, I have finally found a family member, I will not let them touch a single hair on him. Even if I have to reveal myself and Chukah."

"Not to worry wifey, come closer, we still have some time before we go, cuddle some more with husband," he said squeezing her in tighter into his embrace.
