"What's your name?"

"Luo ZhouZhou."

"Age."

"19."

…

Luo ZhouZhou sat at the table, answering the questions of the police officer across from him, one sentence at a time. He had already answered such questions three times tonight.

The policewoman had just been called away by the man coming out of the side door, and came back with a pair of shoes in her hand. They were a pair of semi-new sneakers.

"Put them on, General Chu ordered someone to find them for you." She put the shoes in front of Luo ZhouZhou.

Luo ZhouZhou hesitated, but in the end slipped his foot in. The shoes were a little big, but very soft.

While he was putting on the shoes, the policewoman seemed to be remembering something, and then slapped her palm, "Right, there's coffee.”

After saying that, she went to the coffee machine in the corner, got a steaming cup of coffee, and put it on the table in front of Luo ZhouZhou.

"Drink it." She said.

"Why is General Chu always on patrol? He's a famous General." A nearby police officer, who was sorting out documents, suddenly spoke up.

The officer who was questioning Luo ZhouZhou stopped his asking, turned around and said, "It's because of the Omega murder case, we can't catch the murderer, but the guy is still working. General Chu felt that our police officers are not doing their job well, so he simply went out on patrol himself."

"That doesn't require the General to go out on patrol himself." The policewoman was also curious.

"General Chu and Sheriff Chen used to go to be classmates at the military academy. Why don't you think about why Sheriff Chen is just a sheriff, but General Chu is a General," the policewoman lowered her voice.

"Why?" The policewoman and the other officer lowered their voices and gathered around Luo ZhouZhou's table.

Luo ZhouZhou carefully held up his coffee, sipping it cautiously for fear of bumping elbows with someone, and huddled himself in his chair.

"It is said that General Chu was the only survivor of a covert operation, and that the military needed to promote such a person without a complicated background…"

The police officer suddenly shut up at that point.

"What's wrong? Keep talking." The policewoman and the other officer urged him on.

When they saw that he was still silent, they all turned in his direction and saw Luo ZhouZhou sitting quietly with his coffee cup in his hand. Luo ZhouZhou leaned forward slightly, his eyes were wide and round, and he was listening quite attentively.

Several people stopped asking questions and dispersed, while the police officer opposite continued the inquiry process.

"Address."

Luo ZhouZhou held his coffee without speaking.

"Address." The officer raised his voice and asked again.

He gently picked at the paper cup with his finger.

The police officer looked up at him, "Luo ZhouZhou, where do you live?"

He looked down at his newly acquired shoes again.

"What, the little fugitive isn't answering?" A lazy, deep voice sounded and Chu Feng walked out of the side door. He strode over to Luo ZhouZhou, bent down to look at him, and said to the officer, "If he doesn’t tell you, let’s lock him up until he tells us his address and have his family pick him up. Or locking him up for a few years is fine, too. He probably doesn’t eat much anyway, the police station can afford to feed him."

Luo ZhouZhou looked up at him with a sudden, incredulous face.

Chu Feng smiled at him, took something out of his pocket, and put it in his hand holding the coffee. He patted him on the head, put one hand in his pocket, tossed his car keys with the other, and unhurriedly walked out of the building.

Luo ZhouZhou twisted around and watched him as he walked out of the police station and down the stairs, then started his car. He didn't turn back until the black patrol car slowly drove away, out of his sight. He spread out his hand, and in his palm lay a candy wrapped in colored plastic, tightened at both ends.

Remembering Chu Feng's words, he wanted to throw the candy away.

But the trash can was far away, and after looking at the police officer across from him, he didn't dare move, so he stuffed the candy into the pocket of his oversized overalls.

"You heard him, the General has orders to keep you closed up if you don't answer." The officer screwed on the cap of his pen, closed the booklet, and called out to the policewoman, "Jenny, take him to the photo booth."

In the photo room, Luo ZhouZhou grimly held up his ID card and took front and side shots.

As Chu Feng instructed, the beard had been left hanging and had not been removed.

Amidst the clicking and flashing lights, the policewoman named Jenny stood by the door and asked, "Are you sure you don't want to tell me?"

Luo ZhouZhou thought Jenny was nice. She offered him coffee, and wasn't rude, so he opened his mouth and replied, "I won't say anything."

"Okay," Jenny shrugged, "then you’ll have to be locked up."

After the pictures were taken and the ID tags were retrieved, Luo ZhouZhou asked Jenny, "Can I go to the bathroom?"

"Yes." Jenny thought it was because of the cup of coffee, and led him to the restroom. But before they got there, they saw a yellow plastic cone at the door of the restroom with a sign that said: maintenance in progress, do not use.

They stopped in their tracks.

Luo ZhouZhou turned to Jenny and said, "But I really need to go to the bathroom. Can’t hold it in any longer."

Jenny looked into his clear eyes and felt completely unable to refuse. After some hesitation, she led him to the end of the passage and knocked on the door.

Luo ZhouZhou saw the golden door plaque with the words ‘Chen SiHan’ printed on it.

No one was there, so Jenny pushed the door open and walked in.

Luo ZhouZhou hurriedly followed her.

The room was large, with dark gray floor-to-ceiling curtains and a large desk. Luo ZhouZhou didn't have time to take a closer look at the room before Jenny led him to a small door and said, "Hurry up, I'll wait for you here.”

With the door unlocked, Luo ZhouZhou began to examine the small space.

Except for a small exhaust fan in the upper left side that hummed, there was not a single window in the room. On the right side was a glass side, and on the shelf were items like shaving cream and facial cleanser, presumably used occasionally by Chen Sihan.

Luo ZhouZhou compared the size of the exhaust fan with his hand, then pinched his waist and lowered his head in frustration.

He began to urinate.

When he pushed the toilet flush valve down and watched the water flowing away, he wished he could be pumped out of the toilet too.

It went down the drain all the way to the ocean.

Now what?

Should he go back or should he just stay here?

Since waking up and somehow arriving in this world, he had become the son of General Luo Pei. He had tried several times to get out of the checkpoint, but each time the soldiers found him and chased him away. Because General Luo noticed that he wasn't normal, he told the soldiers not to let him through.

But I am not your son. Not only did you not listen to my serious explanation, but you also asked me to call you father and locked me up.

Luo ZhouZhou was very upset when he thought about this.

If he got caught again this time, he probably wouldn't even be able to leave his room. It might be better to stay at the police station. After all, this was Bayard, and he might be released after a few days in jail. Then he would be free to go around and look for his mate.

Luo ZhouZhou was determined to stay, determined not to reveal his address or identity no matter what he was asked.

"Ready?" Hearing the toilet flush, Jenny knocked on the door outside.

"Um, I’m ready." Luo ZhouZhou put his hand on the doorknob, ready to open it. At that moment, his movement suddenly stopped.

He caught a whiff of something, It moved through the air, slowly soaking into his nose. It was tastier than fresh blood, sweeter than the red caltrop fruit that grew in Auria. For a moment his head was hollow, and he felt something explode in his body. He shuddered at the scent, and his soul seemed to resonate with it.

The patriarch's words echoed in his mind.

Don't ask me how to identify the person, you will magically feel it when you meet the person who matches you.

Yes, I felt it.

Luo ZhouZhou wanted to laugh and cry, and covered his face as he trembled.

It was him. I had finally found him.

Jenny waited and raised her hand to knock again, but the door suddenly opened and Luo ZhouZhou slowly stepped out. He walked straight past her, without looking at her. With a strange expression on his face, he twitched his nose and sniffed the air.

First he went to the desk, after smelling he continued to the window. As if unsatisfied, he went to the bookcase and sniffed again. He couldn’t find what he was looking for in the room, only a chamomile scent that smelled like an air cleaner.

Luo ZhouZhou frowned and quickly returned to the bathroom.

In front of the mirror, he smelled the faint scent again, and a shudder of happiness ran through his heart. He twitched his nose greedily, his toes rising higher and higher as he stood on tiptoe. But the smell grew lighter and lighter, and finally, the last whiff of it got into the ventilation fan as well.

Jenny had no idea what he was trying to do and forgot to stop him, so she stood in the room and watched him blankly.

After making sure that the smell was totally gone, Luo ZhouZhou finally gave up and left the bathroom.

He had regained his composure, but his eyes were still glowing.

"Jenny, where did Chen SiHan go?" Luo ZhouZhou took a quick glance at the picture frame on the bookcase. In it, a refined man in a sheriff's uniform and glasses was smiling and looking at him. He was really good-looking.

Luo ZhouZhou felt his heart beating fast.

"What were you doing?" Whether it was his actions or calling the sheriff by name, Jenny felt it was strange. But she wasn't worried about any surprises, because she could handle someone like Luo ZhouZhou with one hand.

Luo ZhouZhou thought seriously and replied, "I smell the person I'm looking for."

Jenny couldn't help but laugh at this, she was about to open her mouth teasingly, but felt it was inappropriate and closed it again.

"Jenny, can you tell me where Chen SiHan has gone?" Luo ZhouZhou asked again.

Jenny didn't want to answer, but after taking a look at the half of his beautiful face, which was not covered by the beard, she replied, "He went to the military headquarters for a meeting."

"And where does he live?" Luo ZhouZhou pressed.

Jenny laughed again, and said meaningfully, "Many people will ask for Sheriff Chen's address after seeing him for the first time, but the sheriff's address is not something that can be casually given out."

Seeing Luo ZhouZhou's eyes darken momentarily, she added, "I can only tell you that he is in the Aleisha district."

Luo ZhouZhou's eyes instantly lit up again.

Aleisha district?

Aleisha district!

"Jenny." Luo ZhouZhou said, "My address is 15th Star Avenue in Aleisha, have someone come pick me up."
