C11: Human Resources and Party Invitation

A silver-haired man rushed in vigorously.

“Master Chris! I’ve reached my limit! I can’t do this!”

“What’s going on all of a sudden, Hal?”

“We’re getting more and more work every day! We need more people!”

“I just hired an additional civil servant the other day. Besides, I don’t have any more people to hire.”

Last time, I managed to recruit one of them through a narrow channel due to a complaint from Hal, but it is very difficult to recruit a civil servant, they are very rare.

“Master Chris. We may be able to get by for now, but sooner or later we’re going to lose our heads.”

That’s true. As the population continues to grow, there is inevitably a shortage of not only civil servants but also various other human resources.

We need to develop human resources.

That’s right! I’ll open a private school for orphans and squires, and in exchange for working for the Viscount’s family, I’ll give them free tuition! That’s what I told him.

“A private school? If you want to build a school, you will have to deal with a lot of trouble, but by making it a private school, you can easily manage it and raise the operating costs, but what about the teachers?”

“Oh. I’ll have Yulis, who seems to have a lot of free time on her hands these days, do that for me. It’s because of Hal’s arrival that Yulis is now free.”

“We’re short on civil servants. But I guess my sister is the right person for the job.”

“Yulis has been a tutor for me and she has a good track record. In fact, my brothers have become scholars thanks to Yulis’ education. It’s not that I want others to experience the torture of Yulis education.”

“I’m sure it’s something like that……but my sister has a job as a civil servant, so make sure she has a replacement who can teach her while she’s working.”

“Yeah. I understand. I’ll send one of the Viscount’s squires to take her place for now.”

It is another story that the private school that was established afterwards produced a large number of students with excellent but twisted personalities due to the Spartan education of Yulis and the squires who trained them hard to take revenge for Yulis training.

“Forget about the private school thing, I want a literate officer who can work immediately!”

“I’m sorry, Hal! I was wrong! We need to find a civil servant now! But I don’t have a clue! You’ll have to figure out a way to recruit one with me!”

“You’re suddenly very passionate…….”

“I’ve been making a big mistake! I’m trying to get away from everything and live a slow life!”

“Look at this.”

Hal held out a letter. What kind of letter is it?

“What’s this letter?”

It’s probably a ball invitation, and it’s stamped with the royal family’s seal, so they’re the ones hosting it. Most of the nobles will be there. Please make connections there and get introductions or recruit a civil servant.”

When I opened the letter, it said it was a coming of age party for the second princess, who turned 15.
