In the evening, red and dark clouds floated heavily in the sky. When Jin Yang returned home, this was the sight he saw the moment he opened the yard’s gate.

A black wolf pup was squatting lazily on the ground with the fur on its body almost fully regrown, with a ball of white fluffy fur on its back.

The white fur ball slid down the wolf’s back and was caught by the black wolf’s fluffy tail before being tossed upwards and falling into its fluffy fur again, as if it were playing on a slide.

As the little fella was thrown up, she kicked her little paws in mid-air, the soft fur on her belly fluttered in the wind, and her long, pink, and white rabbit ears trembled. Jin Yang immediately frowned and walked forward.

This was a new way of playing that Yin Yiliu had discovered. It felt like she was being thrown up like when one played on a swing, which was thrilling.

When she was thrown up again, she did not fall into the soft and smooth black fur as expected, but was firmly held by a sturdy arm, and the tip of her nose was engulfed in a faint cedarwood scent.

Yin Yiliu was momentarily stunned before falling into ecstasy. Jin Yang was back!

She flopped around in the man’s arms, before she sat her chonky little body up straight, and then jumped to the ground so quickly that Jin Yang failed to catch her with his hands.

After all four of her paws landed on the ground, a faint white light slowly seeped out of Bunbun’s body, and she turned into a little girl with rabbit ears in a crimson pettidress. She leaped into Jin Yang’s arms and was immediately held by him.

“You’re back!”

Yin Yiliu said in a baby voice, her voice filled with joy that could not be concealed, and her round doe eyes blinked as she firmly stared at Jin Yang.

This look of anticipation and joy on the little girl’s face instantly soothed the irritation in Jin Yang’s heart. He stroked the little girl’s head while unconsciously lowering his sharp eyes, and when he raised them again, there was some tenderness mixed in them.

“Mhm.”

Jin Yang wasn’t good at saying sentimental words. Even if he truly missed Bunbun, he would not express his feelings. When he reprimanded the girl, the corner of his lips lifted slightly upwards, not appearing stern at all.

“It’s too dangerous.”

“But I think it’s quite safe,” Yin Yiliu said, shaking her head. “Blackie is an excellent catcher. I feel like I’m sitting on a swing.”

Today, she was wearing the pettidress Jin Yang had purchased from the store at the base the other day. With pink laces all over the dress and a bow at the back, she looked as dainty as a doll.

When Jin Yang heard what she said, he took her by her chubby hand and led her into the house. “Is it boring at home?”

Yin Yiliu shook her head and counted with her fingers as she reported to him everything she had done today. She had a squinty eye smile when she spoke, and there was not a hint of unhappiness on her face.

The truth was that her days at home were pretty depressing. After she turned into a human, although things were much more convenient, in consideration of various factors, she still spent more time at home.

Without a mobile phone, entertainment facilities, or activities, sending Jin Yang off every morning and counting down the time until he returned was actually quite boring.

Whenever that time came, Yin Yiliu wished her body would grow bigger, so that she could be left on her own without much worry.

When the two of them entered the living room, Zhao Sihui was cooking and Zhao Qiyang was doing a plank as part of his physiotherapy. He was in good physical condition and quick recovery. Yesterday, he was able to try lifting weights for the first time in a while.

After the gauze on his back was taken off, there was a layer of slightly reddish new flesh that extended from his lower waist to his arms. It was still fragile and a little uneven to the touch. When he used his strength, he would feel a burning friction pain on his back, and at the moment, the young man was wailing in pain, his face distorted as he planked.

Zhao Qiyang called out ‘Big Bro Jin’ when he noticed Jin Yang walking into the house holding Yin Yiliu’s hand. Zhao Sihui, who was busy in the kitchen, heard him and turned her head. As she saw Yin Yiliu jumping excitedly with a smile on her face, she couldn’t help smiling as she commented,

“Bunbun misses you very much today. She kept asking me what time it was.”

“When did I?!”

After raising her voice to deny it, Yin Yiliu let out a “hmph”, walked to the bathroom with her little hands behind her back, and washed them while standing on tiptoe at the basin.

Seeing that the little girl refused to admit it, Zhao Sihui shrugged and continued preparing dinner.

After Yin Yiliu wiped her hands dry, she looked up to see Jin Yang holding a book with a drawing of a child on the cover, sitting on the sofa, and reading silently with an indifferent expression.

She had an ominous feeling in her heart and was about to sneak into the bedroom when Jin Yang stopped her, and she could only move slowly to the edge of the sofa with her head bowed.

She glanced at the book in Jin Yang’s hand, and her expression changed. No way! Jin Yang had mentioned that he was searching for elementary school textbooks for her, and he really found one!

The elementary school second-grade textbook that he had exchanged from the Points Hall had been completed by Yin Yiliu in no time, and the Zhao siblings had even given her the title of ‘child prodigy’.
