Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband

Chapter 59: A Hope To Get Out Of The Abyss...

"What are you doing here alone?" Lu Feng asked while lowering his sight to look at Jiang Yuyan, standing a few steps away from her.

Feeling startled with someone's sudden presence, Jiang Yuyan looked up. "I wanted to be alone for some time."

"Am I disturbing you?" Lu Feng asked.

"No!"

Stepping forward, Lu Feng sat beside her on the other corner of the bench. Everyone saw this and didn't bother to call Lu Feng again, thinking two old friends met after a long time, so they should leave them alone.

"Don't worry, I didn't smoke today," Lu Feng commented, smiling lightly.

"Hmm, otherwise, I must have started coughing right away." She smiled too

Not talking much, both kept staring at the dark place in front, far away from them, at the other corner of the garden. A Smile painted on their lips with the memory of encounter the previous night, and the atmosphere around them turned to normal from the awkward one.

Lu Feng excused himself and went to his grandpa as he had called him before. During the conversation, Lu Feng just hummed to everything others said and finally excused himself to meet his childhood friend, who sat in the gazebo with Lu Qiang.

Lu Feng never entertained any guest at Lu Mansion and always avoided everyone except for a few close relatives, but the Jiang family was an exception as it was the family of his childhood best friends.

Lu Feng reached the gazebo and sat on another semicircular table, opposite to Jiang Yang and Lu Qiang. Jiang Yang welcomed him with a smile while Lu Qiang didn't react.

Lu Feng was happy seeing Jiang Yang after so many years, but there was a little awkwardness between them as he was not the same Lu Feng he used to be. Also, not being in contact for so long made the difference.

Jiang Yang never liked the silent and awkward atmosphere around him, so he started the conversation.

"Nice to see you after such a long time, Lu Feng!"

"How have you been?" Lu Feng asked.

Jiang Yang replied, "As usual, happy-go-lucky kind."

Lu Qiang was happy seeing Lu Feng as it was the first time he came to meet someone on his own, and he was conversing too, even if it was not much.

"I hope we will get along well, just like in the past. What you say?" Jiang Yang asked as he moved his sight to both his friends.

"Hmm!" came the reply from the other two in sync.

"That's great then. Let me know when we can go out together. I don't have any friends here other than you two, so it's your responsibility to entertain me. I don't care how much you two are busy," Jiang Yang said, being his old self, claiming his rights on his friends.

After meeting these two, Jiang Yang understood it was the only way to make things just like before, between them.

Lu Qiang nodded. "Whenever you say."

Lu Feng agreed. "Sure!"

"Be ready to rock this city. Let them see how does it feel to see three extraordinary handsome men together."

Lu Feng and Lu Qiang both had broad smiles on their faces to see Jiang Yang behaving like his old self. Both missed this friend of theirs.

After some time, the Jiang family bid a farewell and left for their home. In the car, Jiang Yuyan didn't talk anything as she closed her eyes and leaned back in the seat. It was too late in the night when they reached home, so everyone went to their rooms.

As both siblings reached upstairs, Jiang Yang asked, "Are you sleepy?"

Jiang Yuyan nodded with sleepy eyes.

"Will you be fine on your own?" Jiang Yang asked to which his sister nodded again.

"Goodnight. We will talk tomorrow then." He stood outside of the room and waited for his sister until she entered her room.

"Brother Yang!"

Just as he turned to leave, a voice stopped him, and he turned back.

Stepping towards, her brother, Jiang Yuyan, hugged him, "Good Night, brother!"

Jiang Yang hugged her back, "If there is something, call me."

Nodding, Jiang Yuyan returned to her room, and Jiang Yang went to his.

After some time, there was a knock on Jiang Yang's door. The door opened, and Mo Ruolan entered the room just to see her so standing near the window while staring outside.

He looked opposite his usual playful self and seemed to be thinking about something. Mo Ruolan understood it must be related to his sister.

"Is she ok? Is she upset because she has to stay at Lu Mansion?" Mo Ruolan asked while standing next to him.

"I don't think so," He replied while looking outside.

"Then? Is she having trouble because of the past incidence or she doesn't want to stay away from home?"

"Might be, but don't worry, she will be fine soon," He said assured.

"I am thinking of coming back to China, too, and planning for my resignation."

Mo Ruolan thought her daughter might need her as after a long time, she saw her upset and lost.

"No need, Mom." Came the firm denial from the son.

"What if she needs us?" Mo Ruolan asked, worry painted on her face.

"Now it's time for us to leave her alone and let her open the new pages of her life. We need to isolate her from us, and being in Lu Mansion is the best option," Jiang Yang explained.

Mo Ruolan agreed. "You know her better than us, and you took all her life decisions, so I guess this time, you are right too."

Jiang Yang said nothing, and Mo Ruolan preferred not to bug her son further as she trusted her son's decision when it came to her daughter. Wishing, Goodnight, Mo Ruolan left.

When his mother left, Jiang Yang stood near the window for a long time while staring outside, "I hope, she will be able to get out of the abyss forever."
